Mountain home tent sites sits on a nearly 200 acre historic hill farm in Tunbridge, VT. The land was cleared for farming in the 1790's and since that time has had only four land owners. The family that cleared the land is buried in a plot on the farm. Over the years the farm has undergone many changes, but dairy farming has been a consistent activity. Still actively farmed as Fledgling Farmstead, our farm is home to cows, sheep, chickens, goats, fruit trees, and a veggie and herb CSA and farm store. We also host workshops and on-farm events including the annual music, arts and food festival called Fledge Fest held at the camp site location. Fledge Fest this year will be on August 9th and 10th, 2024. Find more information on our website! The forest is actively managed for firewood and saw logs. The land is incredibly diverse from a high exposed hill top to a deep a forested mountain brook and everything in between. Come pitch your tent on a remote hill top surrounded by amazing views and nearly two hundred acres of diverse forests and pasture lands. These tents sites are located on an historic hill farm settled in 1790. Outhouses on site! There are trails for hiking and mountain biking (no dirt bikes or ATV's) all over the farm and a beautiful brook in a sheltered mountain valley. Just a 5 minute drive to the bottom of the hill is the first branch of White River; a beautiful clean river for swimming and fishing crossed by multiple covered bridges that lead to the farm. We hope you will come visit the farm and enjoy the remote mountainous beauty of Tunbridge!

Woods edge (Site 1)
My girlfriend and I absolutely loved this campsite. It was the first destination on a big roadtrip and it was well worth the stop. The views and scenery are beautiful, the individual campsites are nicely secluded, and the hosts have done a great job create a real homey, village like aesthetic to the public gathering area. The host was very kind and helpful, even going out of his way to assist us with an issue on the day of our departure. We Highly recommend this spot, as we would love to go back again ourselves! :)

Woods edge (Site 1)
Beautiful site!
Amazing site! Super well maintained and very private. Loved the common area and the beautiful views of the mountains. The sites were a nice size with easy access to the composting toilets. This is def top 3 campsites we’ve ever camped at through HipCamp.

Woods edge (Site 1)
Great spot!
I loved site 1 “woods edge” campsite! It was perfect for me and my dog with it being covered and plenty of trees to tie her lead to. Evan was great, and brought eggs and wood to my site before arriving even though I added them late ** listen to the 4wheel drive recommendation ** My toxic trait is thinking I can drive my Kia Soul like a truck 😅 and she was a struggling girl going up the wooded road to the site. So yeah, maybe listen to that 😂 All in all I would shapely recommend staying at Evans place! Everything was wonderful

Cherry Glen (Site 2)
Amazing Hipcamp and cool host. All of the sites are large and extremely private. Site 2 had a perfect mix of sun and shade. If you're into birding, don't forget your binoculars. From my site, I was able to see a scarlet tanager, an indigo bunting, and four different types of warblers. The site abuts the woods and at dusk you can hear hermit thrush song echoing through the trees. Such a sweet spot. Also, don't forget to add the farm fresh eggs, the veggie box, and a couple bundles of firewood.

Cozy corner (Site 3)
An Amazing Getaway
The Cozy Corner at Mountain Home Tent Sites was an amazing getaway. Quiet but could hear all the sounds of nature. Very clear skies give great opportunities to see all the stars. The views were fantastic from the top of the hill in the common area! The tent site was very private and away from the other two sites. It was a nice open field along the edge of the woods with a nice sized fire pit and a pine tree to set your tent under. The road up to the sites was very scenic and woodsy and it was nice that the sites were away from nearby houses and properties up at the top of the hill. The farm had a plant sale and a large variety to give a great start to your garden season. The hosts were very friendly, nice, and accommodating.
