We have a few hiking trails on Blood brook road one of which you can walk to from our home and it’s only a very short distance away. We are located 3 miles from Lake Fairlee Public beach also known as Treasure Island so bring your swimsuit! The land has over a half a mile of river frontage and several streams, a beautiful varied forest, rambling topography, and plenty of wildlife. Many lessons in tracking may be found as whitetails, moose, black bear, fishers, bobcats, porcupine, coyotes, foxes, mink, ermine, snowshoe hare, wild turkey, and ruffled grouse, are seen and tracked. Often times we are also lucky enough to catch a hawk circling the pasture and to hear the barred owls calls in the darkness of night. My land is easily accessible by main road, has ample parking, and yet cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, wildlife, fireflies and peepers are just outside the door. In the summer season, several organic farmstands and local picturesque swimming holes range between 5-15 minutes away. Autumn's glorious show is on display everywhere you look. Winter offers easy access to groomed VAST trails in the field behind the house and studio. Hopkins Center, AVA Gallery, the Lebanon Opera House, Northern Stage, and a wide array of restaurants are within 20 minutes. The Lyme bridge is now open, so there are more restaurants, trails, activities and the Dartmouth Skiway! Despite the proximity to town and even to my home, the simple studio space is serene in its sumac baby forest. The space is one of a kind, with a giant salvaged chapel window, cathedral ceilings, a candelabra, a clawfoot tub, a quirky outhouse, on-demand hot water, electricity and wifi. The site lists that it sleeps 4? But three is more realistic, and I cannot seem to change it. We will do our best to make you feel at home away from home. In a way that is never intrusive, we respect your privacy. Come and unwind with nature all around you. We are very pet friendly! And ask that all dogs are on a leash while outside. Also, pets are not to be left in the cabins unattended at any time. So, with all that said get yourself and your pets here and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on your deck looking out to the river. Listen to the birds and relax! Mags Mountain is a 185-acre property nestled in the foothills of the Green Mountains. We have a 17-acre private pond with opportunities for swimming, fishing, and small watercraft. Our land includes a beautiful mix of pine, hemlock, and hardwood forest, along with two streams and hundreds of large glacial erratic boulders. Adorable rustic cabin with obvious care taken in every corner. Lots of outdoor space in a beautiful setting. Note: The wood burning stove heats the indoor space very well! I was there at the end of September, but I don’t have any doubt it would be a great, cozy stay even in the dead of winter. As described, cell service is spotty, but you won’t care when you’re there. When you’re outside, you can hear the road noise, but if there’s any wind in all those leaves, you can’t. The most bang for your travel buck you can get these days. Great property. Great host.

This place is great! Wonderful drive up site with water and electric right beside a creek. ( I am car camping) Bathhouse was very clean with an actual Hot water shower ( that was nice/ some listings hot water just means not ice cold😂) Property is beautiful and well kept. Host was very responsive and I felt very welcomed and safe here . Will definitely be back for a longer stay next time 👍.

We had a wonderful stay at this pet‑friendly cabin overlooking the Connecticut River. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and thoughtfully cared for. The cabin itself is just as listed; impeccably clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. Jessica, the host, was kind and accommodating throughout our stay. We brought both our cat and dog, and the space worked perfectly for all of us. Jessica provided an electric heater in anticipation of a chilly night, but we didn’t end up needing it—the cabin is well insulated and stayed warm on its own. The outhouse is exactly what you’d expect, but it was clean, well maintained, and easy to use. There were lots of small, well‑considered amenities that made the stay even nicer, and we really appreciated the care that went into creating a welcoming space. We would absolutely recommend this spot and would happily stay again.

This was my most favorite Hipcamp stay ever!! James’s land is so magical and was way better than we ever could have imagined, the pictures don’t do it justice!! The campsite is pristine, you have so much privacy, & we ventured over to the dock and spent hours swimming and jumping in the pond and canoeing around! Some of the leaves were just starting to change here and there so if you’re reading this and want to book, do it!! It’s the perfect place for a little fall getaway!!

Nice location, a little further back than expected and not well marked. Host provided water and plenty of fire wood for our stay. Would recommend, could hear the highlights.

Weekend Trip to Moose Mountain Getaway

This was a great stopover Hipcamp location. The hosts had just put up some campsite hanging lights, which really made the spot feel cozy. There is some road noise, but that calms down a lot at night. We had a great stay and look forward to returning.

Great location. Firewood/starter and electricity provided. Enough space for my tent, car and to enjoy a fire far enough away from the tent. Bathroom really close walk from campsite as well.

4 nights at Camp Ebb and Flow

Beautiful property, clean and well stocked bathhouse, wonderful experience all around. Stayed at cascade rocks - the privacy and sound of brackets brook was perfect. Jill and Jeff are excellent and attentive hosts and you can see the passion they have for their property. I had forgotten a spatula and they immediately offered me one to borrow - they really go above and beyond.

Well, lemme tell ya, this here’s the view from my little ol' parking spot. We got ourselves some good ol’ electricity 'n' them fancy low voltage lights all 'round the place. Makes it real nice when the sun goes down, ya know? Perfect for a campin’ trip, if ya ask me!

The elevated platform made having a flat, dry place to set up camp was fantastic and the provided water and fire wood was much appreciated. The proximity to 93 is something to consider but earplugs would easily solve the issue as it does quiet down after midnight anyways. The isolation of a one spot campsite, away from the host house made it a very private campsite
