My bestie & I had a wonderful overnight at Hammock Hallows.
Camp is on private property, has own driveway, parking & paths w signs to 4 Sites: Hammock Hallows, Fern Gully, Mossy Glen and Woodland’s Edge. Bring a rolling cart. Woodland’s Edge is a half cabin half tent & easily walkable from parking, very spacious. Mossy Glen set far back on the property. Fern Gully adorable little a-frame cabin w a bed, floor cushions & windows, w hobbit door! Has bbq, bar seats for 2 & partial bath w sink & toilet. does not have a fire pit. It is close to the baths.
-Hammock Hallows closest to home but far enough away w paneling hill & garden btwn you & home for privacy. Easily walked from parking across back fence past the chickens and down a short path then to the left. It is a spacious site where you can pop up 1 or 2 tents. sky hammock gone. composting toilet in all sites a large bucket with leaf litter at bottom & seat with lid w tp & privacy. There are slopes, roots & pine pitch, be mindful. baths are wonderful & worth $ for work it takes to clean, fill & heat & mats for bottom. can provide wine, towels & eco-friendly bubble bath, just ask. enough privacy unless someone @ Fern Gully. Heard great horned owls, barred owls hooting & red fox. Day were visited by bobcat. There are many chickens, friendly rooster & bunny. Andrea has a vision. It is a work in progress, maintaining your site helps! Thank you for everything, Andrea!

We had a great time camping here. I was nervous seeing as it was near her home, but it was far enough away and felt very private. Also, Andrea was very communicative and made sure we had anything we needed. Would love to stay at her hip camp again

Pros: A great location near Amherst.
Cons: the site is on a slope, so not the most comfortable for a pitched tent. There is no spicket to access water. You must get water directly from the owners, who unfortunately were away the night we camped, so we did not have access to water.

Andreas property was quaint and cozy. We indulged in the wood fired hot tubs and it surely was a delight. At night we heard owls and during daylight spotted mushrooms and frogs. We felt welcomed, safe and comfortable there. Thanks for having us!

It was an amazing place. Clean site with two places to set up tents. The wood fire hot tubs were amazing, really happy we were able to tend to them ourselves, rubber mats made it perfect. The hammock was the best hammock ever. Almost fell asleep in it one night because we put a blanket under and on top. One side was complete forest, felt like u were totally in the woods. The other side you could see the house. Was left alone unless we texted Andrea, who offered to help with anything, so that was great. They had barriers between so it wasn’t completely visible. The hot tubs were could also use more privacy. Felt a little awkward seeing people well trying to have a romantic soak, and I’d do it again. Overall a great place and I would recommend completely recommend to others.

Andrea was the most kind host I have ever had. She made me and my partner feel so welcome, and even let us stay in her nicer campsite area because no one was staying there that night. She came out and had some marshmallows with us, and we even got to meet her dog and child. Their entire family and energy was so welcoming and made for a wonderful night camping.

hammock hallows is such a cute little nook tucked into a gorgeous tree-filled neighborhood! really felt like i had a private space back there. stars were gorgeous through the trees at night, and andrea was super flexible and accommodating as a host! a great site for a fairly highly populated area

The location is very convenient to Quabbin, which allowed my son and me to get out and fish way earlier than if we had left from home in eastern Mass.

I had a great stay at Andrea's Hipcamp, she and her family are super welcoming and accommodating. Beautiful spot, the roads not very busy, and it was easy to find. Just a quick overnight stay for me while working in the area, but I'm sure I'll be back when my travels take me that way!

Positives: Cinnabunny and Kiwi acting as co-host😉
Negative: watch out for the roots on the tent site. Needs a lot of chips and a better fire pit without holes. No more than 2 tents is recommended. Oh, and it says chickens, but expect roosters as a previous member mentioned.
Overall review: it wasn’t really Glamping. Andrea did setup the tents which was awesome given the rain. Bring what you would normally bring for a “one night” venture and hot/cold Dunkin on your way out.

I can't recommend this place enough. We loved meeting the animals (especially cinnabun the rabbit) and walking around the woods at night. Andrea and her family were excellent hosts! We also got the hot tubs add on which were absolutely the highlight of our trip. The tubs stayed comfortably warm for hours and gave my partner and I a romantic evening enjoying the sounds and sights of nature. Definitely check it out if you can!

Very memorable. We were so close to the bike trail, enabling us to go for a beautiful, scenic ride. When we returned, we were enjoyed a relaxing evening to include a dinner we made on our own site and long outdoor soak in the wood-fired outdoor tubs. Fireflies included! Would love to do this again. Wish we stayed a little longer. Best idea ever!

This site is located in someones back yard, and upon arrival there was no effort to make the site presentable. The listing failed to mention the slope of the site, the lack of space to set up any camping gear, and the offering of a composting toilet was just a Home Depot bucket. There was another site on the property which seemed usable, but after interacting with the people who had booked it they claimed their site was also nothing like it was presented online. There were random pieces of debris around the site, but the host did not seem to think the site was left in such manor, whether she was unaware or didn’t see an issue I’m not too sure. Although we chose not to stay there and left, the site really did feel like you were in someone’s backyard with a clear view of the house and the other site. The host wasn’t entirely unreachable, and she was great about making sure we had what we needed to accommodate our stay however arriving at the site was disappointing. I wish I could attach some images to the review to really paint the picture however I would not recommend a stay here to anyone.

We had such a nice time at Andrea’s campsite! It was a quiet campsite nestled in her backyard - she did a great job with privacy fencing / trail signs to keep it private. Andrea is a very gracious & responsive host - would definitely visit again!

Andrea was a great host and we really enjoyed our stay. You're essentially in their back yard, but there is enough brush that you get a sense of privacy. Star gazing in the hot tubs was heavenly.

Amazing! The site is even more enchanting than pics show. The hot tubs at night a tent with a couch a rustic fire based kitchen. Loved it! Would def stay again, thanks andrea!

The grounds are very nice. Next to the hosts home but you feel secluded. Andrea is very kind and accommodating. Hot tubs were great! Closed in but wide open outdoors, bottle of wine to enjoy with it but word to the wise. Give them an extra couple hours after being heated to get in. They were very hot much longer than expected but over all an excellent experience. Thank you to Andrea her children and chickens for being great hosts

Andrea and her family were so lovely and welcoming. The space is set back into the woods for a private nature filled escape complete with firepit, chairs, water, pit toilet and plenty of trees to set up a hammock for camping. It’s a truly enchanting haven.

Beautiful clean site and quiet area. Wood fire hot tubs 110% worth it. Host Andrea was very responsive and provided everything we could need. We upgraded from open site to the "glamping" site due to rain. The tent felt like a hotel, very sweet with lots of attention to detail. Highly recommend.
