Eric was very nice, and his place was peaceful and comfortable. It was cold when we were there in early May - so no mosquitoes or the like - and it was a short walk from our car. There was plenty of firewood and singing birds, and generally a great feeling about the spot. Thanks, Eric and family!

We loved falling asleep to the sound of the creek! Amazing seasoned wood for a campfire. A peaceful stay!

The tent camping area was really cool. Could hear a wide array of wildlife at night. A fire pit was set up with stump seats that we loved winding down the night at. Stayed here for quality access to Farley Ledges and wasn’t disappointed.

Overall we had a great experience. The walk to the pond was nice (and we came out of it tick free!), I just wish some trails had markers, or some indication of proceed here or don’t walk here. The images of the site do not indicate how close the main house is to the site. Nobody bothered us, nor checked in on us, but we definitely could hear the road, and see car headlights. It’s not a busy road, but at times in the evening while enjoying the campfire, it was a bit of a nuisance. The stream was low, but its location is central to the site, and now with more rain coming its likely to be more active.

It rained and they let us hang out under a covered porch for a yurt site they had. Thankfully the yurt wasn't rented. We were able to hang out, cook our meal and wash our dishes all while staying dry. Our tent was down by the stream which was a nice site.

This was a great little spot! And the hosts went out of their way to be accommodating. We were experiencing a severe thunderstorm with flash flood warnings, and they took care of us. Really want to come back and have some time to enjoy this spot. But we were through hiking the Robert Frost Trail, so we had limited time. Fully recommend!!!

Great camp site! The access was easy, and there was plenty of wood for the fire pit. The stream is truly beautiful. Most importantly, there is endless hiking either straight from the campsite or a short walk down the road.

Great spot! I’d definitely stop here again. Plenty of privacy, space, and a nice spot for easy car camping. Picnic table and firepit were a nice touch.

I really enjoyed my evening at Camp by the Stream. The site was easy to get to, well maintained, and provided dried wood for fires which was nice. A small foot bridge kinda separates the site from the house and parking area giving the site more privacy. It’s very quiet at night and bugs really weren’t an issue for me. I would definitely return.

We stayed here to camp out after a concert at Tree House and it was the perfect location to get in and out of the venue. No traffic to or from this direction! The land itself was nice, just a little buggy, but citronella candles were provided on site if needed. We were there just to sleep for the night so we didn't need them. Pretty quiet except for the occasional car driving by. All in all, a great location with great access to local areas. My only suggestion to people staying here is to plan ahead and download offline maps if planning to use your phone for navigation. Service is extremely spotty and we would have gotten lost if we hadn't downloaded the maps.

Exactly as advertised and easy to find. The site is close to the house and the parking spot. Despite being close to the house it felt private. No stream water due to the early summer drought. Can get drinking water from the house. Eric is a welcoming host.

I had planned a last minute fishing trip so options to camp were limited and I had no familiarity with the area. I have a well-equipped 4Runner with a RTT and have no issues roughing it for a few days if no amenities exist. The homeowner was very nice and welcoming upon my arrival, but their dog was a bit confused as to who the stranger was camped 100 ft from his house for two nights. The site was flat but postage stamp small and flanked by wood line, poison ivy, the house and by what looked like a leech field berm. There is no privacy from their house, the neighbors across the street or the road so I felt like I was on display and overly conscientious about being so close to their home. I have no issues carrying on conversations with complete strangers but I felt like I was invading their privacy, which is also why I did not use the fire pit that was right out their back door. Now if I was tucked in the wood line a bit, different story. I later found out their is first come first serve camping on the Connecticut River and Barton Cove does accommodate vehicles with RTTs so next time I visit (including Tree House Brewing) I will opt for that.

Had a great campout and the hosts were pleasant. I thought my spot would be a little further from the main road but it was still a nice spot and it felt secure. They do offer another site more in the woods and if I camp here again I would choose that spot but overall it’s an amazing area with lots to see and do. Definitely a great experience.

The site was very well kept, had a good amount of folliage for shade, well stocked with fire wood, and was secluded without being difficult to get to the site.
The only downside to the site was an abundance of insects that seemed to like the stream, however a small campfire did a good job of keeping them away.
We only saw our host in passing a few times but, that was fine and it seemed like they would have been available if we needed anything.

Nice area to set up a tent. They offered plenty of fire wood and newspaper to start a fire. Very nice trails leading to the pond. Spent nearly 5 hours by the pond. Great site, would do it again.

We had a wonderful time at camp by the stream. It’s a beautiful wooded site with a large fire pit and tree stumps for sitting. The hosts were friendly and gave us space to do our thing. Trails behind the site are a huge bonus, and there’s a lot of cool wildlife as well as other green spaces to explore in the area. Would definitely stay there again

This site was lovely and still felt private even though the house and road were in view. There was plenty of firewood provided and the connecting trails were convenient and fun to hike. Definitely recommend!

What a great spot! The walk is very short (2 minutes or less) from car to site, but it's tucked away just the right amount to feel secluded. We were there in the fall, and it was beautiful. Really enjoy the 10 minutes walk to Leverett Pond. Everything was smooth and easy. Would go back next time we're staying in the area! Thank you!

The site was accessible, but also felt secluded and private. We loved listening to the creek at night and even heard an owl above our tent. Plenty of wood supply and we appreciated the convenience of potable water and a charging port. A little buggy by the water, but nothing a little fire smoke couldn't take care of. We felt safe at this location and loved its closeness to Amherst and the surrounding farmlands. Highly recommend for folks looking to explore western Mass. Hosts were responsive and considerate. This was a beautiful spot right next to the stream that was perfect to stay the night if you want to be near the Amherst area! Eric was very kind and although it was raining, it was beautiful and we loved the sound of the stream. I highly recommend!

Clarissa and Eric's property is beautiful, clean, and secluded. Clarissa checked in on us in the pouring rain, and offered their bathroom to us and anything else we needed. The location is so very close to downtown Amherst. We loved it!
Few items to note: the spot does go down quite a bit of incline and requires shoes with a good grip, and the bugs sure to love the stream (and the people).
We appreciate the hospitality and nature that this spot provided us! Thank you so much Eric and Clarissa.
