🌲 Rangers Respite Retreat – Red Hook, NY Escape to peaceful seclusion at Rangers Respite Retreat, a private woodland campsite on a quiet hobby farm in the Hudson Valley. Set on nearly a mile of forest trails, this tent-only site offers a Port-a-potty, potable water, rustic lean-to shelter, large fire pit, cooking grill, picnic table, and plenty of open space to relax and reconnect with nature. Enjoy an immerive experience in nature, surrounded by tall trees, starlit skies, and the soothing sounds of the woods. It’s ideal for solo campers, couples, or small groups who value quiet and simplicity. Amenities: Potable water, fire pits, picnic table, and pet-friendly. Note: communal shower-head facilities only - coming soon — true back-to-nature camping. Located in Milan/Red Hook, just a short drive from Rhinebeck (Dutchess County Fairgrounds) and the Catskills. Perfect for hikers, nature lovers, and anyone seeking a peaceful forest getaway.

Our ancient woods site is ideal for small intimate group gatherings; however each site is first come first serve! Your personal space: This site hosts one platform and a fire ring. Tents can be purchased with cots, lantern, rug, chairs and a table for an additional fee. See the 'extras' section. Note, we need 72 hours notice to accommodate a tent set up in advance. Communal spaces: Lean to, large bon-fire pit, a cooking fire pit with grill, and a picnic table, water hose with potable water and a Portapotty. Additional private spaces: You may be sharing the campground with one of two additional sites: a tent campsite that is a 4 man tent and a second platform, both of which may be rented during your stay.

Personal space: This is a fully furnished tent site. Green canvas heavy duty tent with two cots, rug, tables, chairs, and a lantern provided. (No bedding) Two sleeping bags could be used to make this a family tent. Communal spaces: shared Port-a-potty, bon-fire, potable water via a hose, lean-to, and picnic table Shared spaces on site: There are two additional platforms available first come first serve for erecting personal tents. Those sites each have their own fire ring, but are invited to share the communal spaces.

This listing is for the ENTIRE campground. This comes with one canvas tent with two cots and room for 2 additional sleeping bags for a total of 4 people, 2 additional platforms for pitching your own tent is also included. We can provide smaller tents and/or cots for an additional fee (check under extras). The smaller platforms can fit 4 people which brings the total allowed visitors for the entire campground to 12 (4 per platform site). Additional tents are allowed on grassy areas. There is an additional fee for more than 12 people. Please add extra humans under the 'extra' section. The campground has a port-a-potty, picnic table, communcal fire pit, individual fire rings/site, and potable water. We can provide assistance bringing supplies to the campground which is located approximately 500 feet from the parking area.

My friend and I loved staying here. The space is beautiful with farm animals, tent platforms, individual campfires, hammocks, a bonfire, etc. Jendaya and her husband were very friendly and accommodating! Very responses when asking questions and gave clear directions to their campsite. Their space is within an hour or less of hiking, biking, etc. We would stay here again! :)

I had a super positive experience. The tent was very spacious, cots are comfortable. Every site has a fire pit and there is running water. Very quiet and peaceful. The hosts were super friendly and helpful.

Camping here was very lovely! The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We planned for 1 night and stayed for 2. The land is beautiful, and quiet. And there were a couple of friendly farm animals we got to say hello to as we walked up to the campsite. 10/10 definitely coming back this summer!
