Had an amazing weekend reset at the East Campsite!!!!!
Paula and Bill were very quick to respond and so helpful!
The site was very well put together and had everything you could possibly need a toilet, water for showering, dishes, a Coleman cooler, a shaded picnic table, a lamp, speaker by coleman, even a fan…. you name it, they had it! And they even provided free firewood! 🔥
This place is truly magical. My dogs absolutely loved it, and we had such a cozy, relaxing weekend. 🐶❤️ We’ll definitely be back!

Hucklebuck Railway Campsite West
We loved camping here! Such a beautiful property with tons of space. We felt secluded enough to not feel crowded, but it was comforting knowing Bill and Paula were so close if we needed anything. They were both extremely accommodating and attentive, from taking us up to the site, giving us a brief history of the property, and making sure we had everything we needed (like extra water), throughout the entire trip. The stream was our favorite part! We had a great time swimming and wading in the water looking at the snails. The walk is only about 5-10 minutes and it’s down a bit of a hill.
The site is equipped with essentially everything you need to camp, you just need to bring the food and blankets. We’re already talking about the possibility of heading back again next year!
Hucklebuck Railway Campground was an amazing experience! Our family had the best time and thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the campground and the surrounding area. Paula and Bill organized everything in such a thoughtful way that we had way we needed as novice campers. They were responsive whenever we needed anything and gave suggestions for places to view the abundant wildlife. My children and fur babies loved being next to the water most of all. Truly this is a hidden treasure and we’re already planning our next trip back! Again thank you Paula and Bill for your hospitality and accommodating our families every need!

We had a great time camping at Paula's campsite. Had everything we needed and more. We really enjoyed the river right next to us and the numerous trails to walk our dog!
We love this campsite and have been several times now. There’s no better furnished site in the area, and they’re very friendly and helpful hosts. They clearly take care of their site and the land, as it’s been in great condition for the past six years in the time we’ve been going to Hucklebuck Campsite East. The nature is stunning, the accommodations are great, and they have everything you need to get off grid comfortably for a little while.
Highly recommend! We weren't able to swim in the river due to a massive storm prior to our arrival but my family of 5 loved it!!!! Our kids ages 3,5,7 absolutely got the camping experience they were looking for.
This is a site where you don't have to bring much. My husband and I were so impressed on how camp ready everything was. It made camping there such a breeze!
PRIVATE & SERENE and SOOOOO MANY trails to explore. We didn't hear or bump into other campers. This site has great outlined trails and family friendly. Some of the best wildlife and everything was so well taken care of! An outhouse so clean and efficient that it had my kiddos going on their own!
Our family created so many core memories here, I'm sure we'll be back and recommend to all of our family and friends! The directions they provide were spot on and the site even included instructions on how to work everything! We were also guided to our site and got an in depth tour of how everything worked in person. Paula and her lovely family were available to answer any questions or concerns we had! We came, needing to be in touch with nature, and left with so much more! Regulated nervous system check!

Our second time staying here. They thought of every need and the accommodations we're great. The weather was beautiful and the water was refreshing.
We loved the whole experience. The site was great and very well provided for. It was very private. Paula and Bill were very accommodating hosts and took care of every need.
Next time we will bring the aqua shoes and tubes for floating that they recommended. The River is right next to Camp and it was beautiful and a lot of fun. We enjoyed fishing and it would've been a blast to tube down. But, bring water shoes! :-)

Paula and Bill were very generous hosts! They made sure we had the supplies we needed and told us about the history of the land we were staying on. We were a group of 7 people and very comfortably camped for two nights, spending most of our time by the creek. Thank you again Paula and Bill!

Hucklebuck Railway Campsite East
Lovely site above the river with trails leading down. Very private, though East camp is closer to neighbors. Not luxury camping but a very good campsite with most of what you need. We were there for the hottest days of the summer (temp hit 100) and the site was the coolest place to be, shady but still caught the breeze. The massive thunderstorms, and the tent and other tarped areas held up well. Overall a very positive experience despite less than ideal conditions.
This was such an amazing campsite and we had the best time during our stay. Paula and Bill are so kind and welcoming and do such a good job to set up the campsite with everything you could need. The spot was so shady so even in the hot sun it was comfortable, total privacy, and a nice walk down to the swimming hole. Would definitely stay here again!

Me and my husband an amazing night at this campsite! Paula has thought of everything which made a quick camping trip so easy and relaxing. Would highly recommend and look forward to going back with our son and friends (there’s a whole other tent setup with air mattresses)!

Hucklebuck Railway Campsite West
Our family had a great time! Beautiful site, lots of privacy, and it had everything we needed. The tents were big and comfortable, plenty of firewood and water, and the kitchen was stocked with all the essentials. We had fun hiking and swimming in the creek. We’d definitely stay here again.
If your looking for seclusion with quick river access, surprisingly good reception to listen to tunes on Bluetooth and a site where you barely have to bring anything as everything you’ll need or want is supplied and set up for you then you’ll find it as delightful as I did. Paula and Bill the owners are also the best, they were most helpful in supplying their input on any questions I had. Will def be back, thank you guys

We had such a great stay in the east camp. Paula and Bill really have thought of everything and made our stay stress free. There were other campers at the west site but the property is so big we never ran into them and it was like having the whole place to ourselves. Looking forward to coming back!
Paula & Bill are wonderful people. They made our stay so wonderful. They stock you with everything you can imagine. Would recommend for any camping lovers. Nice small trail near by and great community in driving distance.

Lovely site, amenities, and access to the river. Paula and Bill were so nice and welcoming! I hope to come back with our friends and family when the weather is warmer and we can swim in the river.
We had an excellent time, the set up was great for us as campers without much equipment of our own. Hosts were super helpful and accommodating. Beautiful forest.
The site was so accommodated and truly had everything we needed (pots, utensils, sink and water, tent, rain cover, more) and Paula and Bill were so friendly and responsive. Very secluded and wooded and full of wildlife and birds :) Would definitely recommend and come back.

Paula and her husband are kind, thoughtful, and helpful hosts! They were very quick to respond to our messages and were incredibly accommodating. I’d forgotten to pack cooking oil and Paula was generous enough to offer some of hers. This place has everything you need! If you enjoy birding this place has a variety of birds. Also, it was so cool to hear a great horned owl in the middle of the night.
We all had so much fun at their campsite - the perfect fall getaway. We’d love to visit again in the summer so we can enjoy the swimming holes and take advantage of the hiking trails!

We had a wonderful time at Paula and Bill’s campsite. It’s rustic yet well stocked and maintained, with tons of walking paths and a beautiful creek where we spent the afternoon skipping rocks. Bill brought us fresh water and firewood (along with some lovely conversation), and even when a nor’easter rolled through on our final night, we stayed warm and dry in our tent. Paula was so easy to get in touch with and they were flexible with our arrival time coming from NYC. The land they are on is truly stunning and they really care for it with such love.
Our six-year-old had the best time and now wishes we could camp there every weekend!
We also spent part of one of our days at Kesicke Farm, where he played in the corn maze, fed the animals, and just had an absolute blast. Mighty Donuts was also amazing and a great spot for kids, and Red Hook diner on our way out was just exactly what we needed.
Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we would love to come back again!

This campsite was so great. We loved the kitchen set up, and all of the supplies they have ready for you! The tent was cozy, and the stove in there helped a ton. We can’t wait to come back! Definitely would recommend trying it out!

We had a great weekend at the campsite. Their attention to detail was incredible. You really had everything we needed to enjoy the weekend. The trails for hiking on the property very well maintained. I am definitely coming back next spring.
We had an awesome weekend here we loved every minute of it. The beds are so comfortable and the kitchen area was equipped with everything we also had a blast fishing. Our dogs enjoyed staying here too. We will for sure be back!

Hucklebuck Railway Campsite East
Well equipped campsite with swimming and fishing just down the hill. Very dog-friendly. Hosts were great and we would definitely stay here again.
This was a great site. Well-stocked with necessities, but rustic and isolated enough that you really enjoy your time with the surrounding nature and stream. Existing tents were very comfortable. And Paula and Bill were very attentive and made sure we had the water we needed. They were hands off allowing us to enjoy the stay, but attentive and quick when we needed something.
