Hawk Meadow Farm is a 68 acre working woodland mushroom farm. Our camp sites are spacious and private. A generous amount of firewood is included with your booking! All of our sites can be accessed by car. Our farm specializes in log-grown woodland mushrooms such as shiitake, lion's mane, turkey tail and oyster. We use the mushrooms to make medicinal tinctures and sell fresh or dried to local area restaurants. Visit our farm store while you are here! We usually have fresh shiitakes available for purchase as well as our other farm products. We follow organic methods and sustainable practices in all that we do, and our farm is inspired by the principles of permaculture. We have a great love and respect for the natural world and strive to work in harmony with nature not only in all our agricultural practices, but in just living our lives. Stay with us, reconnect to nature and recharge your spirit!

Pine Tree

Steve's land is an excellent place to camp! The owners are kind and accommodating, and the shower is a great addition. We had a great time seeing the farm and would absolutely camp here again.

Pine Tree

Had a wonderful time camping at The Pines site. It was a very private spot with fire pit and picnic table, nestled well into Steve's beautiful property. The shower in the super cute cob house was perfect for a hot day. Had a lovely chat with Steve about his mushroom growing operation too! Already talking about coming back someday soon!

Black Locust Tree field

Secluded, beautiful spot!

Hawk Meadow Farm is our very favorite Hipcamp! We usually stay at the Pine Tree site, but tried Black Locust this time and it didn’t disappoint. Both sites are quiet, lovely, and private. Black Locust feels even more secluded, like you’re tucked away in a little grove. If you’re a hammock camper, the Pine Tree site is a better pick— if you’re a tent camper, both are great but we liked Black Locust.

Pine Tree

Forest Sanctuary!

Staying at Steve and Anne's magical forest farm truly changed my life! My time with them has inspired me to want to manage forests with an eye towards wildlife habitat and mushrooms. Getting to eat fresh shiitakes, lions mane and oysters along with taking medicinal tinctures grown and made on their farm is a healing and joyful experience I hope everyone can enjoy. Don't miss an opportunity to spend some time with them in their forest sanctuary!

Pine Tree

booked this spot very last minute and Steve was very accommodating! We loved how private everything was! Their puppy was super sweet as well! Bathhouse made of cob was so cool!
