Welcome, Mission Conesus, originally built by Franciscan Catholics. These lands were likely chosen for many reasons. Suffice it to say there is something special here. Come discover for yourself. Lose yourself here, or maybe find yourself, among the Hemlocks. First, a bit about the terrain. There is much in the way of forest, very mature, and a broad array of plant species. Elevation differences are vast, land to the west is uphill for quite a ways, and downhill to the east, to Hemlock lake below, so the world here can feel a bit tilted. We adjoin 150 acres of nature conservancy lands that nobody seems to know about. These lands are for respectful public daytime use. We also adjoin 6600 acres of NY state forest which is public property. Exploring all that is here would take a very long time! Want to get away? Welcome to our little slice of heaven. We are just getting started in the camping space, but for now, we're accepting bookings and looking forward to hosting you, at the mission. Site 4 - Enchanted Mission / Hemlock Grove
It's a beautiful property to camp hike or stay at the Airbnb. The old mission has a very strange history. The owner is hard to get a hold of but the other folks staying there are friendly. I recommend to hike down to the lake behind the campsite.

Site 4 - Enchanted Mission / Hemlock Grove
Site 4 is in the woods and very private. Our small dog loved exploring & sniffing the area immediately around our spot.

Site 3 - Enchanted Mission / Hemlock Grove
Camping Fun!
Site 3 we believe to be the 2nd biggest. Nice patches of shade with beautiful view of the field and the mission building. The birds really sing beautifully in the morning which was a joy to wake to. We really loved the hike towards Hemlock lake, easy downhill to get there but a steep trek back so be prepared. We packed out all our trash as this is our personal rule we like to follow Be advise water & bathrooms are listed as available however about 1/4 mile walk towards with no clear signs/direction on where to go. However that was not a problem for us, plenty of people around to ask for help but be aware for packing! Very friendly and comfortable environment would return again! Thank you for hosting Korey!

Site 1 - Enchanted Mission / Hemlock Grove
Peaceful and private
Gorgeous site right on a trailhead into conservancy land that leads down to the lake (steep hike). The site was pretty private -- we couldn't see the other sites from where we were. Corey was a friendly and welcoming host. He made sure we were good and otherwise left us to our own devices. Definitely a place we'll return to.

Site 4 - Enchanted Mission / Hemlock Grove
Mission that made wine for mass
The sites are spread out enough that you have lots of privacy. Site 1 is next to the pavilion and goes counter clockwise from there; we forgot that Hipcamp shows them on the app. We stayed at three. The fire ring is interesting old hollow brick and was awesome! We enjoyed our evening; need to go back and explore as it was just overnight. We had good food and beer at Noble Shepherd.
