I really enjoyed spending my birthday here and making this week special. The host was accommodating when we booked the wrong site and let us stay at the pavilion because nobody was here. Everything is clean and comfortable for us

We love staying at the Mission! This was our second year camping here. Such a special place, and a lovely camping spot. The sites are generous and private, and the bathroom is well-maintained. The grottos are a must-visit, insanely cool!

Hemlock Wild Camping

I have stayed here multiple times and I love the place because it boarders the Hemlock Wild Forest. I was also happy to see the porter potty was cleaned.

Interesting and peaceful camp

Very interesting property! Not too far from the nearest town, but far enough that traffic on the nearby road was extremely sparse. Very quiet and peaceful. The mansion overlooking the campsites makes for a lovely vibe, and the old stone grottos are a must-see! I'm not a very religious person, but as an artist and art history lover, it was right up my alley. There are tons of beautiful hiking opportunities around the nearby finger lakes, as well. We are definitely interested in returning, perhaps even for an air BnB, so we can have a peak inside the building itself.

We ended up switching to site 1, which appears to be a whole lot with a giant pavilion and fire pit. With an old model car under it. Very cool very different.

My friends and I had a wonderful time camping here! Korey was great with communication and letting us know where everything was. There was also an extremely sweet cat on the property who hung out with us all night and followed us around in the morning!

I unfortunately I got into the campsite very late and it was pitch dark. Had a lot of trouble finding my campsite. There are no signs designating the sites, just grass that had been mowed awhile before. Talked to one other camper who pointed me in the right direction. I parked where I thought was the sight and come morning I found I had guessed right. I was sleeping in my minivan so setup was no problem. That being said I had a very restful night. Sites were spread out so no noise from other sites. Beautiful woods and fields all around. I would camp here again. I had to leave early in the morning so did not have time to explore. I would like to come back and again and spend time exploring the property and the surrounding area.

I am a repeat guest and I love being here, so close to the lake. Rob's Trail is a must do if in the area. My only suggestions would be to clean the potty and trim the grass

Very cool spot with lots of places to explore! Porta potty was pretty full but nothing wrong with using the great outdoors! The camp sites were nicely spread out and I was able to find which was which by using the map on the hipcamp site.

Had a nice couple wintery days at Koreys place. He was very responsive and great to deal with. I cant comment too much on the sites as I kinda stayed put most of the time. But the area is beautiful and can't wait to return in the warmer months!

Extended stay at Mission Hemlock

I wound up staying at Mission Hemlock Grove for 2 weeks in early September while my truck was getting transmission work. I had to make several day trips to Rochester and always felt safe leaving my belongings behind at site 1. There are some interesting trails and sights on the property including abandoned Christian grottos. I met some other very nice campers during my stay but always felt like I had plenty of privacy. Korey was very responsive from my experience. I’d recommend this property to someone who is boondock ready

Camp site 4 was just big enough to get a Frontier into. The sites are spaced enough that you don't see each other but could hear louder talk. Every site has a campfire ring. Porta potty was in the central field area and was getting pretty full but was stocked with TP and sanitizer. Really nice trails right on site, with a trail down to the lake. We didn't look for the bathroom or water supply so can't comment on that.

Camping in Private

Tent camping was great in this site. Very private. The hike to the lake was tough but doable if you walk regularly. The grottos were also neat. Felt like Indiana Jones.

The cut out for the camping spaces were beautiful. I loved site three and site 4 was also very charming. This was my first experience with hipcamp. What i would have liked improved was having a better fire ring. Instead of the tile material have bricks or stones. Also it would have been an a plus site if there had been a picnic table. The porta potty is brand new and conveniently located.
