We originally booked a nearby state park with a cool fire watch tower, but it felt like everyone was stacked on top of each other… more like sleeping in a grassy parking lot than a campsite. So we decided to find something better last minute, and I’m so glad we did.
We stumbled across this site just a few hours before arrival and booked it about 4 hours out. The owner was incredibly prompt, communicative, and thorough with all the details. When we arrived, we were greeted and shown exactly where to go, and they had even freshly cut the lawn for us, which was such a nice touch.
What really stood out was the property itself. The native garden pathways were absolutely beautiful. We saw patches of milkweed with a monarch caterpillar, and fields of Joe-Pye weed and goldenrod. It honestly felt like walking through an enchanted landscape.
The mountain views were unreal, and the campsites were private and well spaced. The porta potty was very clean, which always makes a difference. The spring-fed pond was a highlight too. The water felt amazing, they had inner tubes for us to use, and there were little fish swimming around us, which was pretty cool.
This ended up being the most memorable part of our trip, and we’ll definitely be back. I’m especially excited to return in the fall to see the goldenrod in full bloom.

Great piece of property for camping. Beautiful pond with some nice bass. Well kept and clean porta john. We spent most of our time in and around the pond, but do plan on returning to check out the rest of the property.

We had a great time camping on Sharon’s property! Pitched our tent in the pine forest which provided great shade and kept us cool in the heat, made great use of the pond too! Sharon was accommodating and responsive. Had a great time with her dogs too.

We had such a wonderful time here! My husband and I realized our kids were at camp for the week and we could actually get away and tent for a night, just the two of us. Sharon was very accommodating even though I booked a little last-minute.
It was such a sweet little property - I would’ve been happy staying at any of the spots, but we chose the top one with the best view, and the sky was showing off as we set up camp!
Then, after dark, the fireflies were just stunning!!! It was so peaceful - just what I was hoping for. I slept great (this is saying a LOT - I sleep light and almost never sleep great when we are camping, especially at “campgrounds”). This was my first time using the HipCamp app, and I stumbled across it quite by accident…but I am SOLD. Not having noisy people 15 feet away partying when you’re trying to sleep is just amazing.
We also enjoyed the quiet this morning as we got up and made breakfast over the fire.
It was also very handy having a port-a-potty onsite, for convenience.
10 out of 10 recommend this lovelyyyy spot. And we may be back again.

Very nice and relaxing place. Well taken care of nice mode groom trails. Camp host was very nice very helpful by telling me places that I can bring my son in the area for hikes walks and to see local waterfalls. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody.

We love doggie camp!! My dogs had a great weekend with lots of relaxing! Thanks too Sharon for always being a great host, and for dealing with my swimming lab. Lol. We will be back for our annual trip!

Nice spot, well maintained, and close to Ithaca. The pond was cute and stars were 10/10. We camped with a small group of friends and the site had plenty of space and felt private.

Sharon’s doggie camp is truly a hidden gem. I’ve camped at a lot of hip camps in the past, and Sharon’s is my favorite. Her land checks every box I’m looking for when camping. My dogs love it so much they get excited even as we’re pulling in her driveway!
The property has a stunning and clean pond (for fishing, swimming, paddle boarding, etc). You can also view the sun setting overlooking rolling hills right above the pond. There’s additional fields of rolling hills and forests with a bunch of trails to walk/hike your dogs! And can we talk about the night time? You have a panoramic view of the sky where you can see the stars and Milky Way! The fields even light up at night from the lightning bugs. It’s magical!
It also comes with amenities such as WiFi, the cleanest porta potty I’ve ever used, and a charging station for your electronics.
It’s truly the most peaceful place to decompress and refresh yourself from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I’ve never once had a poor experience. Only lots of memories.

The camping sites were well maintained and clean. Most sites had great views. Unfortunately, the owner had three large dogs that scared my kids away from the bathrooms and when the sun set the dogs barked nearly non-stop until 11:00 pm at us.

We appreciated having a quiet place to stay, and the dog loved having space to run. Our site was a little snug for two tents plus the car, but with the trails it felt like there was room to explore. The other sites looked more spacious as well. Beautiful views of the leaves changing color from our hillside!

We had a great fall weekend camping here with our dog. The view from our campsite was beautiful, and it was peaceful setting. During the day we could see the leaves changing colors and at night it was a great location for stargazing. The location is convenient to drive to hikes around Ithaca, including Buttermilk Falls and Taughannock Falls. We also went to breweries/wineries along the Seneca and Cayuga wine trails. We look forward to returning in the future!

We spent a peaceful night under the stars and woke up to a nice view of the landscape around us. Our dog was super happy to run around and play with Sharon’s dogs. The pond was perfect for a swim.

A wonderful second stay at Doggie Camp at the top of the hill. Beautiful sunsets. Space and privacy. Cool dips in the pond on hot days. So close to many state parks, hikes, waterfalls, the lake and Ithaca. Pups and family had a great time. Will be back again!

This is an absolutely lovely place to camp. Multiple beautiful sites to choose from, a beautiful little pond, and killer views. We chose a spot right next to the woods. Cant wait to come back and camp again soon.
