This is one of only two camp sites on a 200-acre parcel of secluded, rural farm land. We are a working pasture based farm where you can see how grass fed beef, pork, chicken, and eggs are produced. There's nothing quite like fresh eggs and bacon after waking up to the sunrise over a fog-filled valley! When you arrive we will provide a complimentary carton of pastured raised eggs and you are welcome to visit our web site (redhouseranch . net) or store to order meats for your stay and/or to take with you upon your departure. We have a wide variety of grass fed beef, pasture raised pork, snack sticks for long hikes, and dog bones for your furry friends. Many of our items are well suited for campfire cooking. Keep in mind that all our products are frozen so be sure to plan for time to thaw. If you're not sure what that involves - we're here to help. We are a working farm but, much of our property is not grazed or farmed. You are welcome to explore the entire area while also getting a glimpse of sustainable, pasture-based, farming methods. Learn more about us and the history of the farm at our website. As you roam the hills and forests you'll eventually bump into some of our animals. Please do not enter the animal enclosures or touch any of the electrified fence lines. If you really want to pet a piggie or hold a chicken - just reach out to Ike or Dave and we will gladly arrange this for you. Red House Ranch is also the perfect spot for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. During your stay you may encounter eagles, blue herons, coyotes, turtles, wild turkeys, foxes, the endangered bobolink bird (its unique call sounds a bit like R2D2), deer, great horned owls, and many unique plants. It's not uncommon to hear the coyotes howling at night. In addition to hiking trails with incredible views, there are four ponds on the property easily accessible with mown paths. One is very large with a dock and suitable for swimming, paddling, fishing, or just relaxing but the water. The other three are smaller and are now primarily wildlife habitat. easily accessible with mown paths If you're feeling adventurous, there is a more strenuous hike down into the creek bed where you can find miniature versions of the gorges and waterfalls that our region is known for. We are happy to provide maps and guidance or leave you to your own devices. When skies are clear our area has very little light pollution and excellent star visibility. It's a great place to view the night sky during a meteor shower. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we enjoy living in the beautiful Southern Tier/Finger Lakes area!

Heaven on earth
We just spent a magical weekend here with 2 kids and 2 dogs and I really can't recommend it enough. The views are breathtaking and the pond swimming is absolutely dreamy. Ike and Dave were so responsive and helpful and were so kind to share some eggs with us. Speaking of which- if you stay you should absolutely order food from their farm store. The quality is wonderful and the prices are excellent. A tip for our particular campsite, esp in the summer- if you are tent camping here I highly recommend bringing something like a canopy, the sun is very strong and there is no shade.

Van Camping with our Dog
We really enjoyed our stay and the beautiful location. The site was easy to access via our campervan and the amenities were a plus. We swam in the pond and enjoyed a camp fire each night. Our dog enjoyed roaming the farm with us and chasing frogs at the pond. Our only recommendation is to bring a pop up tent or something for shade. The site is very sunny with no sun coverage.

The View is Spectacular
Always love our visits to Ike and Dave's property. The view is spectacular and the pond is a favorite spot to hang out. They put in a shower, which is ingenious and perfect for longer stays. We love walking around the property and seeing the animals. Had a chilly night, but the fire was great.

Peaceful Retreat
My cat, Gabby, and I recently enjoyed a much-needed camping trip at this picturesque farm—our first in over a year. The beautiful surroundings provided the perfect setting for us to reconnect with nature and unwind. Even a powerful storm on our first night couldn't detract from the tranquility of this serene environment. Every day, we were greeted by breathtaking views and the gentle chorus of the farm's resident chickens, reminding us to embrace a slower pace and soak up our peaceful surroundings. A hot shower and refreshing well water at our campsite added an unexpected touch of luxury to our stay. Our hosts, Dave and Ike, were friendly and attentive, ensuring that our visit was nothing short of memorable. We felt safe and secluded as we explored the picturesque landscape, creating lasting memories in this idyllic haven. Gabby and I can't wait to return and further immerse ourselves in the beauty and charm of this remarkable farm.

We had a wonderful weekend at red house ranch! Dave and Ike were incredibly welcoming and helpful. From sharing videos to help us find the campsite and greeting us with a dozen of fresh eggs, they really covered it all. You can tell they take pride in this farm&campsite, it is well thought out and well taken care of. This makes it easy to just relax and enjoy the views, even with young kids. Watching the lightning across the horizon, as the strawberry moon emerged from beyond the hills is an image we will never forget. Hopefully Next time we will plan to stay for another day, giving us more time for hiking the trails and enjoying more of that beautiful pond!
