Ken’s property is something truly special. By the grace of god we were blessed with the entire property to ourselves, a rare treat I’m sure.
The waterfall is spectacular. It’s peaceful, serene, and humbling all at the same time. A grand amphitheater of geological history, cut by the relentless water that cascades down its face.
The wildlife was bountiful and beautiful. We spent hours in the creek catching minnows, frogs, and bugs.
Our dog loved the endless chase of squirrels and chipmunks, not to mention a cool dip in the creek anytime he wanted.
It’s close proximity to Watkins Glen the town and racetrack are an absolute plus! Within a short distance drive you can be having ice cream, dinner, and or a few drinks.
There is so much public access to state parks and wildlife areas, it’s an outdoors-family dream. Fishing, hiking, and motorsports surround you.
Ken was gracious enough to provide wood. The outhouse was well stocked with necessary toiletries, a nice addition to a beautiful experience.
We set up camp at site 3, as recommend by Ken, because it’s the closest site to the waterfall that a vehicle is permissible. Site 1 & 2 are a short distance walk and much closer to the falls.

I spent 2 days hitting 5 state parks in the area chasing waterfalls and the one on Kens property was as impressive as all of those. So private and peaceful. Icing on the cake are the two gorgeous horses that greet you when you arrive.

Had an absolutely outstanding time here. Everything was as advertised - peaceful, quiet, relaxing. The property is ideally located for exploring the regions many many natural attractions, and also a short ride from town for any needs you may have. Ken is the real deal, and the property is beautiful. The campsites are well spaced and feature comfortable chairs, fire ring, and picnic table. The waterfall is legit beautiful too, it's not some tiny cascade, it's a full blown 30 foot+ falls with several tiers above the main drop, all on the property! In these type of reviews I try to come up with at least one point where I can offer a constructive criticism. But I really can't think of anything the host could do better, if anything I'm reluctant to leave this review because I want to return in the future and have the same amazing experience!

This property is so beautiful I almost don't want to share because I want it available for the next time I want to book. Listening to the babbling brook while sleeping is the best part. The cabin has electricity and all the things you need. Bed is descent, it's super close to Watkins Glen and tons of hiking options. We brought our own portable shower because the brook is way too cold to rinse off in. The waterfall is a little extra bonus. Luke stayed and hung out with us all day Saturday and is a sweet boy!

We recently stayed at Ken’s private campground at Site 3 for tent camping, and it was such a peaceful nature escape. The waterfall was flowing beautifully with full water during our stay, and there’s a trail uphill that leads to an amazing top view of the falls. A creek runs right beside the campsites, which made the whole experience even more relaxing and connected to nature.
Ken was incredibly helpful and welcoming throughout the trip, and his dog Luke was honestly the best campground companion ever. The place feels very secluded, serene, and perfectly tucked into the woods for anyone wanting a true outdoor experience.
A few things to keep in mind: the washroom is an outdoor setup and about a 300 ft walk from the campsite, there are no trash bins on site, and temperatures can fluctuate quite a bit, especially at night. But overall, if you enjoy rustic camping, nature sounds, waterfalls, and quiet woods, this place is absolutely worth visiting. I'd definitely visiting again.

I had a lovely stay in the cabin on Ken's beautiful property! I had the whole area to myself and loved exploring the trails, the first spring flowers and of course the waterfall! What a cool spot! The cabin was cozy and comfortable. The perfect spot to enjoy the peace and quiet right by a creek!

Excellent place if you want to get away and relax. The cabin is more than comfortable for 2 people and 2 dogs. I appreciated that Ken would always answer my questions. The location is great, very close to a nice town where you'll find your gas stations , grocery stores , Walmart, many restaurants, and a state park. We really enjoyed our stay

Beautiful site. Sleeping within audible distance of the waterfall was so calming and incredible to wake up to. Ken was super kind. Camp was clean and well taken care of. Great place to stay would recommend, will be back!

This was our second time camping at Ken's (this time with friends and their baby) and it was just as beautiful as we remembered it! Coming later in the season from our first visit meant more rain and fewer campers on the property, which was autumnally idyllic with all of the changing colors on the surrounding trees. It was a wonderful treat as ever to have those waterfalls as our shower throughout our stay. Already looking forward to our next trip out!

The cabin was a lovely retreat and had all the essentials and more needed for the two of us and our pup. Highly recommend the walk to the park waterfall. Also nice added touches to have a good space heater and corn hole set up available. Very easy to access Watkins Glen and nearby parks.

The cabin we stayed in is situated in a walnut grove beside a bubbly stream. On the last day, we checked out the waterfall at the end of the drive. Wow! Next time maybe I will forgo the cabin so I can sleep beside the tranquil sounds of the waterfall.

10 out of 10 would recommend! Ken was wonderful and drove our heavy stuff down the hill to our campsite beside the beautiful waterfall! The sites were spaced nicely with enough vegetation between them that it felt private. The falls are gorgeous and a nice chilly shower if you're brave enough! We were less than 10 minutes to downtown Watkins Glenn and everything you could need or want out of a rustic vacation. The land was beautiful and full of wildlife! We even had a doggie tour guide to walk us to the outhouse and back! I assume he was Ken's dog lol very sweet and playful! If you're looking for a 5 star camping spot, you've found it at waterfall creek!

We stayed here for three days and had the luck to have the whole property to ourselves. Ken was a great host and he has two horses on the property! The waterfall was very beautiful and taking a cold shower with the water was very refreshing. The hill leading to the campsites is quite large, I would suggest a four wheel drive vehicle like Ken recommended. I unfortunately did not read that part but luckily my Ford Transit survived. There's plenty of stores and restaurants around if there's an emergency or you don't want to use the outhouse. Overall a great experience and will be back soon!

Wow, what a weekend!
Waterfall Creek is the kind of place that makes you wonder if you stumbled into a dream or just got real damn lucky. The site sits along a stream in a gorge with a thirty-foot waterfall flowing down like some wild cathedral bell—loud, alive, and utterly hypnotic. Just outside Watkins Glen, but you almost don’t need to leave, because once you’re here it feels like your own private paradise. Nobody else stayed the night we were there, which only added to the spell. It was like being transported into a fairytale where even the caterpillars seemed friendly.
We car camped in our rooftop tent, lulled to sleep by the white noise of the falls, but there are two ground campsites perched even closer to the water—majestic spots that look like something ripped out of a storybook. There’s a rustic toilet on site, though we brought our own setup. No potable water, but grocery stores and gas stations are close enough to grab what you need before settling in.
Morning was coffee brewed beside the waterfall, staring at the remnants of glaciers carved into the gorge thousands of years ago. The kind of view that makes you pinch yourself every few minutes, thinking: Is this real? How lucky are we?
We didn’t want to leave. And we won’t stay away for long. This place is a gem—raw, perfect, and unforgettable.

We were lucky enough to have the whole space to ourselves, although the campsites are well spread out and definitely offer privacy. The cabin was beautiful, very clean, all of the amenities offered were there, and more. The creek was great to listen to until the sun went down, then two owl’s echoing through the darkness kept us company.
The waterfall was just stunning. I’m glad some places are kept private and wild. Ken was very kind, and my goodness does he have a gorgeous property!!!
I’ll be back to camp next to the waterfall no doubt!

This is a fantastic, scenic, dispersed camping site and our motorcycle camping crew had a fantastic stay here! The nearby day trips to wineries and breweries were all stellar and I will be returning to this campground in the future!

Disclosure — 10/10 spot would recommend coming here. I’m leaving this review for those like me who love to camp, but only get to once a year, and when they do, they want to hear and see as little civilization as possible.
Overall, we had a lovely experience. This is a beautiful place and the host is super friendly! I was thankful to find such a serene location, sort of last-minute. Being able to hang out in our ‘personal’ waterfall every morning was the nature immersion we were looking for.
However, it wasn’t as solitary as I expected. The sites are close together and if there are four children or a loud drunk man nearby, the experience is lost. We were there for five nights and a variety of people came and went; ultimately we had 2 good nights of quiet alone time.
We chose site 1 for the waterfall front. All of the other campers throughout the week came through our site to check it out, which was fine! And the host gave us a heads up, which was super nice. It just seemed like we paid more for this spot, and that others were maybe under the impression they had that option and might have been charged the same? This is my first time using Hipcamp and I didn’t shop around or look at the prices of the others spots before booking so not sure.
Also, you can hear the racetrack in the distance first thing in the morning, which is only slightly disenchanting and does stop at some point.
Camp here! But don’t expect to not hear or see other people.

Ken’s property was magical! It was peaceful, quiet & private. We would make this a future camping destination again. The sites are spaced out very well. The stream & falls were the perfect background noise & offered a great place to cool off & explore. I met my bestie for a meetup rd trip. She cane from MI & me from MA. Although his place would’ve been perfect to hang out & chill all day each day, we hadn’t been to this part of the country before. We used our camp as a base for exploring the Watkins Glen, Montour falls, and Ithaca areas. Ken was warm & happy to show us his gem of land. You enter a field at the top of his property where there is a horse stable with two gorgeous horses. Ken on his atv has you follow him down a windy steep dirt path to the fairytale by the river. You can tell he is proud of his homestead & that he truly does enjoy sharing it with others. He waits to see his guests reaction once they make it down to the campsites & his one room cabin (also amazing). I can’t imagine there is anyone that doesn’t look around in awe & pleasure on arrival. The land is lush & clean. Even the outhouse is well kept. There are gas stations & restaurants within 10 minutes of his property if you really do not want to use the outhouse. Although once you succumb to it, it’s fine. Taking a rinse in the falls is a must. His dog Luke happily comes to greet you but doesn’t jump or lick. Other close by swimming, Havana Glen & Endield falls. Dennis homemade Icream is great. ThankU!

An exceptional spot for camping with your family. We were lucky to have the entire place to ourselves for the first couple of nights, which was amazing and opened up lots of opportunities to explore along the waterfall and stream! Site 1 is on a cliff, which is a bit daring with small children. Site 2 is probably the best, being at ground level with the stream and waterfall, but the walk down is steep. Site 3 is where we stayed, and it was lovely, with access to the stream and an ample space for setting up camp! We will definitely be back!
