Healing our inner child.

Our stay at this Winnie-the-Pooh-themed campsite was something we’ll carry with us for a very long time. From the moment we arrived, it felt like our inner children came back to life. We explored the backyard the way we would have as kids, curious, carefree, and completely present in the moment. Somewhere along the way, we got engaged, making this place an even more special part of our story. 💍✨ There was such a peaceful feeling here, the kind of peace that feels especially needed during the times we’re living in. We didn’t leave simply feeling rested from a camping trip. we left feeling a little more healed internally. And honestly, the most beautiful part is that we feel like we didn’t just find a campsite. We found friends. Sheryl and Matt are truly some of the most amazing hosts we’ve ever met. We arrived as guests and left feeling like friends, with a place we know we’ll always want to come back to. Thank you, Sheryl and Matt, for creating such a magical little space where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and remember what it feels like to simply be happy and free. We came for the campsite, but we left with memories, healing, an engagement story, and new friends. ❤️ We’ll definitely be back. 🐻🍯🌿

Pups First Camping Trip

My dog and I loved camping at Eeyore's Den! The sites are well spaced out so you have privacy but the facilities are close enough, so it was the perfect space for my pups first camping trip 😁 The warm water and compost toilet are great conveniences, and Matt/Sheryl are super nice and accommodating, and helpful when you can't get your air mattress pumped up! The other campers we ran into were nice, and the location is close to everything Watkins Glen. I hope to have the opportunity to come back!

Loved camping out in Pooh’s Corner. We stayed in Rabbit’s Hole and it was amazing. Very romantic, very close to wineries and you are away from other campers! We plan to come back soon!

Best camping trip ever

My family and I stayed at Pooh’s Corner for three days. We had an amazing time— honestly the best camping experience we’ve ever had. Sheryl was extremely friendly and hospitable, the campgrounds themselves were private, gorgeous and clean, and the best part was probably the bathroom house! It was decorated so sweetly with honey to buy, things to look at (all Pooh themed) with an easy and sanitary way “to go”. We also had hot and cold water to wash our dishes at a dish station— literally everything was thought of. It is also 5 minutes to town and the Watkins Glen. We would definitely go back and highly recommend Matt and Sheryl’s place to all other campers. Excellent time!!

Nice Host + Secret Gorge

Super friendly host, Mary! We went to the secret gorge and it was very pretty and vacant. Park on the side of Rock Cabin rd which is right by the bridge/skylinedrive. When facing upstream to the left of the bridge is where the trail begins.

Pooh’s Corner is the most whimsical campground around! Sheryl and Matt are so kind and accommodating, their recommendations are top tier. 🫡 The rabbit hole was adorable and secluded! Our dogs were welcomed and comfortable.

Sheryl and Matt’s land was such a joy to camp! I stayed at Roo’s site, and it was the perfect size for my 4-person tent, my SUV, and plenty of walking around space. The amenities with the compost toilet, available supplies, firewood, and access to water for washing up was so handy.

Amazing Stay!

We had such am amazing time! The property and sites were just what we were hoping for. Matt and Sheryl did an AMAZING job with their vision , inspiration and everything else. Our group could not have asked for a better 3 nights. Not only did we sleep at a pretty cool campground surrounded by nature, whimsical decor, but the compost toilet and and quick n easy access to trails, state parks and restaurants added that extra touch!

Loved this place!!! It was beautiful and very well equipped. The owner was super nice and helpful. Replies were extremely fast and always ready for any questions or messages we sent. My husband and I love this small camp ground! We have been there twice now! Matt and Sheryl are wonderful hosts! Their property is beautiful! It’s a wonderful place to reconnect with each other and nature. Quiet and serene! We will be back as we have so much more to see in this beautiful area of New York!!!

For our first time camping, I wouldn't of picked a better place. It is so peaceful. Bathroom is kept clean. Great owners.... Definitely planning in January for next year's stay. Where gonna plan a whole week or maybe two...... Thank you for sharing your property with my family.

Worth Every Mile

We ended up extending our stay, and once again Matt and Sheryl went above and beyond to accommodate us. Our original site was already booked for the next night, so Sheryl helped us switch to another campsite. She even let us move our gear over early that morning, even though check-in wasn’t until much later. That flexibility made the transition so much easier and allowed us to enjoy the day instead of worrying about logistics. It’s clear that Matt and Sheryl genuinely care about their guests and do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. We had another great experience and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic stay at Matt and Sheryl’s property. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We were running much later than expected and didn’t arrive until around 1:00 a.m., yet they stayed up to meet us, guide us to our campsite, and make sure we were settled in before calling it a night. That level of hospitality really meant a lot after a long day on the road. The property was exactly what we were looking for, and it was clear they genuinely care about their guests having a great experience. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful place with exceptional hosts.

This was an amazing place to camp! We were welcomed and shown all the special “perks” of the place. They have thought of so many little details that make this a great place to get away for a few days of camping. We will go here again if we are in the area.
