Enjoy the well-maintained fire pit in the Adirondack chairs. Sunrise and sunset are spectacular here and stargazers will be delighted with the expansive views. Amish carriages and work horses are common sites. Park however it suits you for getting the best views. It's easy to back in or out with big rigs and trailers from the quiet road . The driveway entrance is extra large. There's plenty of space for a boat, trailer or second vehicle. YOST RIDGE is located between Cayuga Lake and Seneca Lakes ("Trout fishing capital of the World") in the Finger Lakes wine country, and is just a short distance from numerous wineries; Swedish Hill, Knapp Vineyards, Three Brothers, Thirsty Owl, Ventosa, Buttonwood Grove, and Hosmer wineries. Also located nearby are the National Women's Hall of Fame, and many state parks, including Cayuga Lake State Park, Seneca Lake State Park, Taughannock Falls State Park, Watkins Glen State Park, Buttermilk Fall State Park, within short distances of this site. Two boat launch sites a few miles away.

(Note that the satellite photo portrays an old trailer that has been torn down - the location is accurate, but that structure is no longer there!) Enjoy the country views of farms and fields together with the sounds of trotting Amish carriage and work horses. This is a perfect place for bicycling, relaxing, and getting the local flavor of being in the center of the Finger Lakes.  Do you prefer sunrise or sunset?  Both views are spectacular here, and stargazers will be delighted!  Fire pit on site. 110, 30, and 50 amp electric and sewer hookups are available. No water hookups are provided for winter months, December-March. Located between Cayuga and Seneca Lakes in Finger Lakes wine country - visit the nearest ones just a few miles away: Swedish Hill, Knapp, Hosmer, Ventosa, Thirsty Owl, Buttonwood, Three Brothers, plus breweries and cider houses! National Women's Hall of Fame, Cayuga Lake State Park, Seneca Lake State Park, Taughannock Falls State Park, Watkins Glen State Park, Buttermilk Falls State Park and Letchworth State Park are all within 30-60 minutes of this site. Stock up at Amish, Menonite and private farm stands and markets nearby. Explore restaurants in nearby Seneca Falls, Waterloo, and Geneva. We love The Gould, Halseys, and Ports Cafe. There are many diners, bars, breweries, and family owned restaurants, too. Del Lago casino is a short 11 milles away.

Simple, pretty, safe country site to drive in and sleep peacefully in the company of two gigantic pines. There is a house next door belonging to owners. Grass surface. Pull in, back out - look for post indicating 4225 at driveway, 4225 Yost Road. It has it's own number and drive. Enjoy the neighboring farm fields and Amish carriages, the sunset, stars, and sunrise!

We loved this private rural space! The well water was delicious, and having cows and sheep and turkeys on our road made taking a walk so interesting! It was easy to get to Ithaca and Watkins Glen. Dawn, our host was very responsive and helpful. We even had wifi!

Very large, flat, grassy area for boondocking. As advertised, in the middle of farmland and homesteads along a very dark and quiet country road. Definitely would camp here again.

Dawn's property is very nice. Close to wineries and the lakes. A great place to base out of for some wine tasting or fall foliage viewing. It's our third visit and won't be our last.

We spent 5 wonderful days at Yost Ridge! After a couple nights at crowded state park campgrounds on the way out to the Finger Lakes, it was nice to be in a quiet space with great views. The site is also centrally located with Seneca Falls and Geneva just a few minutes away and Ithaca and Watkins Glenn 30-45 minutes driving distance. There is so much to do in that area. We could get in a hike or two in the morning, visit a winery in the afternoon and finish off the day with ice cream before heading back to the campsite

Yost Ridge in The Finger Lakes
Yost Ridge was easy to find and had plenty of space for our 5th wheel and truck. It was located near a farm which offered cheese tasting and live music on the weekend. There is a nice bike path along the river. We went back the next day and took our kayaks thru the lock. Will definitely stay again when in the area. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Except for it being a little tight for a 32 foot 5th wheel with 3/4 ton truck, the place was perfect.

We loved the privacy this hipcamp has to offer— exactly what we look for when we are staying with our pets. It was incredibly easy to pull in, set up and pack out. A revisit spot for sure!

Perfect spacious and peaceful little spot for home base while exploring all the things the lakes have to offer. WiFi worked great, all the hook ups and the concrete pad were great too. Would definitely stay here again.

The views from Yost Ridge are amazing. Richard kindly helped us position our RV to best capture the views. The site, while between 2 houses, was spacious and well maintained. We would happily return again.

Very nice large lot with full hookups, overlooking huge crop fields. Hosts commuted well. Nice firepit area but unfortunately we never took time to use. The only problem the barking dogs at neighbor next door - they tried to keep quiet. This no fault of our camp hosts.

This was a beautiful and relaxing spot. The sunsets were great and the breeze was amazing! The neighbors dogs were really only out while we set up and broke down camp. And they have a cute goat! 😊 Very nice host. Would recommend

I wanted to love this place , but it was close to the road. Then the Air B@B had lights on the side of the building. All the road traffic and lights made it hard to sleep. The host was super kind and helpful. The site is perfect for a van or someone in a SUV like me. I would say have window coverings to block out the light.

This is my second time out at the campsite. I think it was even better than the first! It’s such a lovely piece of land in a beautiful part of the state. It’s quiet and you have so much all to yourself. There is a big beautiful tree that gives you lots of shade and the amenities are top-notch. I can see myself coming back here after year.

We loved camping at Yost Ridge. The property was well maintained. Well water was delicious as described. Neighbors had dogs, only really barked upon arrival and departure. Saw quite a few horse and buggies. Centrally located near wineries, cheese tastings, state parks.

Had a wonderful stay at Dawn’s place.. host was very friendly and made me feel right at home. Site was great with a fantastic view and easy hookups.. nice and level and felt very safe and comfortable.. highly recommended 😊👍🏻

This site is beautiful! The views are gorgeous and everything is very close by. We loved visiting the local Montezuma wildlife refuge and doing the scenic drive. Amazing place if you like birding! We also of course visited several wineries. Couple of things to know you if you are staying. Parking on the pads makes it challenging to use the water, sewage and electricity. Dawn was great though and said to park however comfortable so we parked parallel to the road. If you don’t plan to use the hookup options or if you have really long cords then you should be good. Otherwise parking parallel is perfect for hooking up and still having great views! I think it’s mentioned in the other reviews too but the neighbors are pretty close to the site. However they never bothered us at all. We would 100% stay again - our dogs LOVED the land and the nature walk. Great site!!!

We loved it here! The space was perfect. It was a luxury having all of the hook-ups for our RV including sewer. The area was so peaceful and beautiful. The finger lakes region is such a wonderful area. We enjoyed campfires and listening to the birds. We visited the horses on the Amish farm and they were beautiful. We would absolutely come back here

We absolutely loved our stay here! The views are beautiful and the camp itself is very spacious and clean. If you love birding, then you'll love it here! So many different species! We will definitely come back again, hopefully fir longer. Thank you!

Beautiful country, the site was immaculate! Host checked in to see if I had everything and after leaving contact info, was completely private. Gorgeous views and some nice mowed grassy paths for short pup walks.

This is a beautiful site with farm land all around. Perfect location to many wineries and situated between both lakes. We hiked several state parks with magnificent waterfalls. Site has full hookups and enjoyed the fire pit after long day of hiking. Definitely recommend and would return again. Very pleasant hosts..

Very nice site with FHU. Dawn and Richard were very nice and gracious hosts. Views of the Amish farming their fields and farm animals grazing was great. Site was fairly level and hookups worked good. Very scenic area and close to both Seneca and Cayuga Lakes, wine tasting trails and waterfalls. Would stay there again without hesitation!

The site was lovely and peaceful. Easy in and out for parking. There was a house next door with children, dogs and goats. However, the owners of the dogs were mindful to not let them bark a lot and the dogs were in a dog run and not too close to the site. The site was well-maintained and we appreciated the mowed walking paths to walk our dogs.

This was a nice spot with great amenities. We have a truck camper with small tanks so having a dump station was very welcome. The view out the back was outstanding. We were a bit surprised by the proximity to the neighbors and the amount of noise the first afternoon. The second night was much quieter and we enjoyed watching the kids next door playing with the young goats as we enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. I would stay here again if I was in the area.
