We loved our time at the cabin! The directions were easy to follow and the location was perfect for day outings to Ithaca or the myriad state parks/trails nearby. The spot felt super remote despite being maybe a mile from the road? The water was not potable (as described), but it sure was nice being able to take hot showers from the solar powered water heater. We really unwound and the spot was exactly as described. You will need to bring your own wood in if you are going during the colder weather days. Additionally, though there are 2 lights in the cabin, I would suggest bringing some book lights that you can clip to the underside of the upper bunks so you can have some light if you wanted to read on the lower bunk. Also, multiple power banks if you are wanting to keep anything charged as there are no outlets. Mama Said is maybe a 10 minute drive and perfect for treating yourself to some breakfast, coffee, and a charge up if needed. And if they are open, you HAVE to go to Here for breakfast. It was not only incredibly delicious, but the people working there were the kindest. 🫶 Honesty though, waking up every morning, making our coffee at the cabin, and sipping it on the porch while the dogs romped in the creek was pretty much perfection!

S-Tier Getaway
This is a lovely, secluded site with a really cool cabin build and a stream. The cabin has lots of utensils and a propane stove. I definitely want to go back again. The host checked in on us but otherwise let us do our thing. My daughter accidentally dropped one of her hiking boots when we left, and Emma was kind enough to send it to us. Excellent site, excellent host.

Overall, our experience was wonderful. My only reservation involved the compost pile situated at the top of a small climb from the house. While I understood the necessity of using a bucket and disposing of it there—and didn't mind that aspect of the off-grid lifestyle—I couldn't help but worry about what might happen during a heavy downpour. I feared that runoff from the rain could carry watered-down waste toward the cabin area; though thankfully it didn't rain during our stay, so those suspicions remained unconfirmed. One cabin window is just a screen, which also sparked concerns about how the cabin might stay dry against wind and rain. Aside from those points, the cabin is great, and the creek and fire pit area really add to the charm. I only wish the passing cars hadn't been audible so the sounds of nature could take center stage. That said, even with the traffic noise, the property feels incredibly private and secluded, which I loved because it allowed my dog to run free.

A great space in a beautiful location and convenient to all the activities we got up to for our short stay. The cabin was well equipped with all our needs and the solar powered lighting and heated shower a delightful treat for such a secluded spot. Would just watch out for the little gap in the bottom of the door. We ended up using a spare blanket to keep out some furry critters that wanted to come in during the night.

Little Finger Lake Oasis

This was our second time staying and both trips have been great. The cabin is clean and nicely nestled away from any distractions. Sleeping to a river or the rainfall each night and being able to cook and spend our evening around the fire was incredible and we plan to return again in the future

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was peaceful, secluded, and such a beautiful place to unplug, and the hosts were great with communication. Our only tip for future guests is that if you’re visiting during a hot summer weekend, be prepared for it to get pretty warm / humid. Plus, since it’s solar powered (no solar power plugs), we picked up a small solar fan to help out. Beautiful place and would love to stay here and experience a different season!

We had a great time glamping at camp minglewood as a couple . Everything was as described. Perfect location for exploring the finger lakes region. Site was located behind a mobile home park, but it felt very private and secluded. The cabin was well designed, comfortable and you can drive right up to the doorsteps. Kitchen was well stocked but we didn’t use it. There is a hot water shower system and a kitchen faucet too which uses rain water collected in a big tank, but we brought our own portable shower system and used bottled spring water. Falling asleep to the gentle sounds of the creek and waking up to fresh air and greenery made the stay unforgettable.

Perfect Getaway

This is our 3rd stay at Minglewood and it never disappoints. The cabin is always clean, cozy and warm with the wood stove. Ithaca, Watkins Glen and Taughannock State Park are all a short drive away. We will definitely be back!

What a great cabin! The inside had a wonderful hygge feel, and the wood stove is legit. Loved that the kitchen was outdoors, too. The best aspects were being able to let our dogs roam and explore as it was so peaceful and remote, yet a quick drive to our favorite FLX spots. Couldn't recommend Minglewood more highly!

Beautiful peaceful woods, cabin was amazing! My family already misses it. I LOVE the outdoor kitchen. That was my favorite part of the cabin. It rained so with the covered porch it was no big deal with cooking our meals. But also....what is more peaceful than listening to a good thunderstorm while you drift off to sleep? Love this place and Emma was super awesome as a host! Will make a trip back to this place in the future!

Minimalist and Slowdown Experience

Beautiful minimalistic cabin when I felt I could slow down and be in the present. Perfect place for a small group of friends. We enjoyed cooking in the outdoor kitchen, eating together, going on hikes, closeness to ithica, watching fireflies at night when the lights were off. Staying here made me realize how peaceful simple life can be.

Perfect off-grid cabin
This camp was everything it was advertised to be and it was awesome! Right on a beautiful little creek that was so peaceful to listen to as you went to sleep. It had everything you need though there wasn’t enough sun to charge the battery one of the days so bringing an extra lantern isn’t a bad idea. Road is a little narrow on the way in by totally drivable. Such a great little spot! A+++++

We loved Minglewood. The site was very clean upon arrival and had all of the basic necessities you would need. We loved the seclusion of it. The site is in very close proximity to the wineries on Seneca Lake.
