Camp Whitman on Seneca Lake

Our second visit. This place is just magical. One weekend is not enough time. If it were open in the Winter we'd totally come here to ski and get away-even if there was no indoor plumbing...hint hint :) Just need a wood stove or pellet stove situation :)

Bryan was incredibly kind, accommodating, and responsive. We rented the Hawk for 2 nights and it was perfect for our family of 4. The screened in porch is great for eating meals and playing cards. We enjoyed canoeing on the lake, and fishing on the pond. They have a very nice dock with Adirondack chairs to enjoy the lake- about 5 minutes from the cabin. They do have a pool, but it was too chilly for us to use it. No need to bring a grill or camping chairs. They have benches outside around the campfire. Also included was hand soap, dish soap, tissue, paper towels, grilling tools, microwave, toaster oven, decent sized fridge with freezer, and a fan. It has a nice rustic feel with the comforts of running water/toilet/shower. We would definitely come back!

First time I ever been there and loved it there. Clean and people there are friendly.. It's a clean nice campground. Bryan is an awesome guy very helpful with whatever I needed.. If you haven't been there you are missing out big time

Camping with dogs

We stayed in The Loon cabin. It was super cute and nice. Simple necessities with all bases covered. The property was so large and had shoreline and wooded and field walking so we never even needed to leave to walk the dogs. We came AFTER kids camp season and we will be back! Only a half hour drive to CMAC! Bryan was easy to reach and quick to respond.

I love staying at camp Whitman. It was so quiet, peaceful, and green. Being right on Lake Seneca was unbeatable. Gorgeous! I had to do some remote work and my cabin had great WiFi signal!

The Heron cabin was great. Each of the 3 bedrooms had a heater and fan. The common area got chilly overnight but the bedroom stayed comfortable with the door closed. The grounds were great and our dog loved exploring. The views of the lake were spectacular and it was so peaceful sitting out on the dock. We already can’t wait to go back and take advantage of the pool, and use a kayak or canoe. One thing to note is there is no outside lock on the cabin, though we totally felt our belongings were safe when we left during the day.

Walnut Bunkhouse

7 of us shared the Walnut bunkhouse, I'd highly highly reccomend! The bunkhouse: The bunkhouse was clean, well-maintained, and stayed cool in the 90+ degree heat. The beds were comfortable and it was plenty spacious for 7 people. The campground: Camp Whitman is lovely. It was very quiet and peaceful, and the stargazing at night was excellent. The camp sits right on the lake and has a gorgeous dock area, and we had a blast going out on Kayaks and SUPs. The pool was warm and clean. The lifeguard team made sure we had a safe and fun time! The location: Camp is a short drive to Watkins Glen and many wineries. It's peaceful and set back from the road. It was lovely to sit by the lake and watch the sun rise. Overall 10/10 stay!

We had a wonderful time at this campsite! The grounds were well-maintained, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful nature—perfect for relaxing and disconnecting. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The facilities, including the restrooms and showers, were clean and conveniently located. We love that it has a lake access! We’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great camping experience!

It was a beautiful spot and we loved that it was dog friendly. The only thing I comment negatively on is that there needs to be curtains on the windows! Otherwise it's a wonderful quiet spot to enjoy!

Really cute cabin, the host was really nice and helpful answering my million questions. I loved the location on the lake it was really beautiful. My dog and I had a great time and if I am ever in the area I would stay here again!

Peaceful Retreat!

Quite a bit off the road and well maintained, quiet cabin located about an 8 min walk from the water. We couldn’t see the lake from the cabin but we could hear the boats. Cabin renters next to us were quiet and friendly. The description is spot on. The cabin had anything we would’ve needed for the overnighter. Sadly no place to swim but it’s ok, the quiet reprieve was a chill ending to a super nice day. We visited local creameries and highly recommend Shtayburne Creamery!!

We had the best time at Camp Whitman! The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The air conditioners in the bedrooms were so nice to have with the heat. The bed were super comfortable. We enjoyed walking around the camp and fishing in the little pond. Bryan was helpful for anything we needed and only a text away if we had questions or needed anything. We will definitely be back! 10/10 recommend ☺️

Relaxing

Bryan is kind, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed. Very relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful views down by the water! Heron had a fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, and fire ring for food and cooking. Each bedroom had a box fan, which was nice! Thank you for having us, we had a great time.

Great Finger Lakes Getaway!

The cabins at Camp Whitman are exceptional and Bryan is a great host. The Loon cabin was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The cabin and camp is very pet friendly which we appreciated. The location is great for visiting wineries, breweries, hiking and water activities. The lakefront at the camp is beautiful and serene.

An excellent camping weekend

My group and I loved camping at Camp Whitman in the cabins. The cabin was spacious and came equipped with space heaters in every room. These became a necessity because of the unpredictably cold weather while we were there. The property is near plenty of wineries and breweries and offers the ability walk down to the lake for a picturesque view. I would gladly recommend this camping locations to friends looking to camp around Seneca Lake.

Walnut Bunkhouse

My husband and I shared the Walnut bunkhouse with our six grandchildren for the weekend. We had plenty of room and truly enjoyed our stay. The property is serene and super enjoyable located out or the way but close enough to shopping, wineries and hiking, to name just a few things. The space provided us the opportunity to each have our own bed, a covered porch for relaxing and a fire pit/wood to commune around. The notice was super reasonable and it was easy to find.
