Been to the cabin several times. Very beautiful and well kept. Very peaceful with hiking trails with views that are amazing. The owner is great he even kept cabin open for us two weeks after he usually shut down for the season. If you get a chance definitely check out this hip camp.

I gave my review to the owner website, It was my birthday and a great time for couples to re connect. The cabin was clean and homey and just right. We didn't even care that there was no running water. We brought plenty of water with us. It was a beautiful night a storm rolled in with light rain and thunder. We sat on the porch, later played board games and watched a movie, made dinner, Next day went for a long walk, Just a nice place to have quite time. Thanks Tim for having us. My Bday was just the way I wanted it. Can't wait to visit again.

A beautiful cabin set in a wonderful setting. Very peaceful get away. Cabin very clean and has all the essentials for the stay. Just bring clothes, food , and drink. Gone several times and can't wait to go back again.

What a beautiful, cozy, very clean cabin! We hiked all over the sprawling property and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We always bring many camping supplies, cookware, dishes, bedding etc. but the cabin is fully stocked with everything that you may need. The incinerator toilet is very easy to use. I would highly recommend coming here. It truly is a gem in the woods! This is one of the best hip camp cabins we have stayed in!

Tim's "Gem in the Woods" is exactly that. My girlfriend and I spent 4 nights here and what a wonderful experience. The cabin is clean and inviting and other than no running water it has everything you could want! The scenery and quiet atmosphere was magical. I can't wait to come up here in late September/October for the fall foliage. We will definitely come back!!!!

It was a lovely stay! The cabin is super cute and it lies in a lovely surrounding. If you’re used to camping the fact that there’s no running water is not an issue. We went to the letchworth state park and used the pool (big! Nice!) and then the showers afterwards. The park is amazing. The toilet situation baffled us at first but really isn’t an issue. Kids loved to use it!

Camp George was amazing! We stayed 3 nights and it pretty much rained the whole time we were there but we didn’t mind due to how perfect the cabin was! So clean and pretty much had everything we needed. Not having water was a little challenging but we went into town (Dansville about 23 mins away) two days and stocked up. We hiked a little on the property and got a good leg work out in the process with our kids on our backs in backpacks. We went to Stoney brook and hiked in the Gorge. Now my husband and I want to come back for a weekend without the kids so we can go explore more! For sure worth everything it took to get us there with our two small children (4 & 1)

The land was remote and peaceful. The cabin was easy to find and a perfect little getaway for the weekend. We explored Stony Brook and Naples. The instructions were communicated well. The kitchen and appliances were new and worked great. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Would stay here again!

Beautiful cabin tucked away on a gorgeous property. Every creature comfort you could need is supplied including coffee maker/kcups, firewood, cookware, games, etc. Our whole family loved our visit and talked about how we could stay forever. Incinerator toilet was easy to use. Host even provided some local spring water in the fridge. The early September weather was cool and lovely but a trip for fall foliage or winter snow could be amazing. A wonderful place built with love and it shows! Also it's only about a half hour ride from Hammondsport and Lake Keuka, both of which we really enjoyed.

My friends and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Camp George. The place was immaculate and had lretty much everything we needed and could have wanted out of a cabin. The area surrounding it is incredibly peaceful, with only a handful of cars going by each day. We didnt get much of a chance to explore the trails but hope to do so on inevitble future trips to the camp.

Stayed with my two tween girls for two days. Cute cabin decorated with tributes to the owner’s father who loved the outdoors. Thoughtful touches throughout, well kept, and private. Enjoyed hiking up the hill to see the sunset, and making s’mores on the campfire.
Days spent exploring the area, hammondsport for breakfast and an afternoon at Keuka Lake State Park. The cabin with a composting incinerator toilet and a working fridge/freezer and stove is priced well. The only recommendation would be to add a memory foam mattress topper and have blinds for the common cooking/bunk area. Beautiful area and sweet stay!

Camp George is a lovely getaway in the woods on a beautiful ridge top. The cabin is spotless and very comfortable. We enjoyed coffee on the front porch in the morning before exploring the region by bike each day.

Tim’s place was immaculate! Very clean and nicely laid out. The cabin was nestled up in a gorgeous private spot. He had great instructions for the place to make our stay as relaxing as possible. Great property to walk around and explore but also close to other state parks for some great hikes! We will be returning soon, we’d love to see the place covered in snow!!

The cottage was immaculately kept in a very beautiful and peaceful setting. You can tell the host really cares with all the small touches. As the host says just bring food and water and everything else is provided. We enjoyed hiking around the trails on the tree farm and visiting nearby Stony Brook State Park. We enjoyed trying out the incinerating toilet - it is easy to operate.

For our 22nd anniversary, we were looking for an isolated getaway with easy access to natural attractions where we could play. We found what we were looking for at Camp George. This neat and well-maintained cabin on a dead end country road in hills is lovely and near to the things we enjoy (lakes for jet skiing, Stony Brook State park for hiking). We also enjoyed exploring the hillside property. The incinerator toilet worked great (interesting...). The only potential downside is that there's no running water (though the hosts provide enough to cook/clean/drink). Knowing this allowed us to prepare and plan, so it was not an issue. The bottom line - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will likely be back.
