Welcome to Horseshoe Bend located in Tamworth NH! Very Private tent sites on the Bearcamp River! Come take your shoes off, relax and enjoy a soak! All have tent platforms. There's plenty of dry and wet sandbars around each site during the dry months. Make sure you bring a rope, tie off and enjoy the sunshine! They are prohibited due to dry fields, other campers and neighboring houses. Side note there is a gun range a few miles away! Site one is to the left. Site 2 the middle path. Site 3 and 4 are the right path. Even though we haven't seen any there are bears in New Hampshire: Secure coolers, grills, cooking utensils, any food not in use, snacks, and anything with food odors inside the locked compartment of a vehicle or trailer or a bear proof storage locker if available. Wipe off picnic tables and grills. Properly discard aluminum foil used for cooking. Do not keep food/snacks in or around your tent!

Site 4 Is a private Riverfront site with plenty of shade at your platform and plenty of sun on the Riverbanks 8x10 tent platform overlooking the river and 20ft away another area with a firepit and picnic table. Also, when the river slows down you build a fire on the beach. (typically mid June to Octoberish) Be aware the river can go up and down when there is rain in the area. Sorry but Absolutely NO discharging firearms or fireworks. They are prohibited due to dry fields, other campers and neighboring houses.

Site 3 is a Very private riverside campsite! Setup your tent right on the beach or up on the platform overlooking the river! The platform is 8x10 and has a seated rope swing next to it. Add/Tag us in Instagram Horseshoe Bend NH The path splits into three paths. Site 1 is to the left Site 2 the middle path and site 3 is to the right. Haven't seen them in years but there have been bears spotted in the area please store your food snacks cooking utensils away from the site at night preferably in your vehicle or out in the field. There are no facilities at horseshoe so be prepared. Pack your trash out with you. McDonalds and Subway are a mile away and have bathrooms as well. They stock the river with Trout every year so bring your tackle! Sorry but Absolutely NO discharging firearms or fireworks. They are prohibited due to dry fields, other campers and neighboring houses. Skiworks is a couple miles away if you want to rent a kayak or canoe. You put in at their place and take the river to Lake Ossipee then they pick you up! Its about a 2 1/2 hour adventure. 20 min to Conway—lots of shopping, restaurants, things to do - 20 min to Winnipesaukee Lake - 2 miles from Club Motorsports (Racetrack) - 5 min to Ski Works in Ossipee for kayak rentals You put in the river right behind their shop, and they pick you up a couple hours later at the lake - 10 min to Ossipee Lake - 20 min to Rattlesnake mountain - Franconia Notch is just under an hour away - Mt Chocorua is close by - Mount Washington is a must see if you've never been! Just over an hour away - Tamworth Farmers Market every Saturday 9a-12p - Farm to Table Market in West Ossipee - These guys have great sandwiches, smoothies and fresh local meats and produce! - NH is known for hiking—check out the Alltrails app. All these paces are 5-10 min drive: New Hampshire Country Store has great homemade breakfast and lunch with a HUGE gift shop! White mountain hot yoga Rosie’s restaurant White Lake state park Dollar general Dunkin’ Donuts White lake speedway Lazer Tag Go carts Mini golf and arcade Chinese Food Hobbs Restaurant Rockin wellness Subway McDonald’s Aroma joes Citgo

8x10 tent platform perched right on the riverbank Picnic table for meals and relaxing A small island lies just across the river where the two rivers merge. In summer, when water levels are normal, you’re welcome to wade over (water shoes recommended) and enjoy a small wood fire—just be sure the island isn’t underwater. There are a couple of cleared areas in the woods where you can pitch tents for extra space. These spots offer a more rustic experience, though they’re not the most level. Bring a rope and a float! Paddle or wade upstream on the Swift River to discover some fantastic fishing spots—locals call them “honey holes.” The rivers are stocked with trout each year—don’t forget your fishing tackle! Kayak & Canoe Rentals: Ski Works (5 min away) offers rentals and a fun route—put in behind their shop, paddle to Lake Ossipee, and they’ll pick you up about 2.5 hours later. 20 min – Conway (shopping, restaurants, activities) 20 min – Lake Winnipesaukee 10 min – Ossipee Lake 20 min – Rattlesnake Mountain Just over 1 hr – Mount Washington (a must-see!) Close by – Mt. Chocorua, Franconia Notch (under 1 hr) Local gems – Tamworth Farmers Market (Sat 9–12), Farm to Table Market (great sandwiches, smoothies, and local meats/produce) Within 5–10 min drive: New Hampshire Country Store (homemade breakfast/lunch & huge gift shop) White Mountain Hot Yoga Public House on Page Hill has amazing food and views! Rosie’s Restaurant White Lake State Park White Lake Speedway (laser tag, go-karts, mini golf, arcade) Dollar General, Dunkin’ Donuts, McDonald’s, Subway, Aroma Joe’s Hobbs Restaurant, Rockin’ Wellness, Chinese food, Citgo gas station No facilities on-site. Please pack out all trash. Portable camp toilets are inexpensive on Amazon and preferred. If you dig a cathole, make sure it’s far from the site and water sources. McDonald’s and Subway (1 mile away) have restrooms. Absolutely no firearms or fireworks—prohibited due to dry fields, other campers, and nearby homes. Wildlife Safety: While we’ve never seen one at the site, bears have been spotted in the area. Store all food, cooking utensils, coolers, and items with food scents in a locked vehicle or bear-proof container. Wipe down tables and grills, and dispose of foil and food waste properly.

Site 2 sits right on the edge of the Bearcamp River! Bring a rope and whatever you like to float on! Relax in the Bearcamp River! There is a rope ladder to the left of the site for getting help getting up and down the sandy river bank. They stock the river with Trout every year so bring your tackle! Skiworks is a couple miles away if you want to rent a kayak or canoe. You put in at their place and take the river to Lake Ossipee then they pick you up! Its about a 2 1/2 hour adventure. There are no facilities at horseshoe so be prepared. Pack your trash out with you. Camp toilets are cheap on Amazon and preferred. McDonalds and Subway are a mile away and have bathrooms as well. Had a fantastic time! Kevin was very responsive to questions ahead of time, well maintained site and easy directions for locating it. Only flaw was the amount of noise coming from the motor speedway nearby. The location and views outweighed this minor annoyance since we just opted to put on a playlist to drown it out. The evenings around the campfire were filled with nature sounds and the babbling water. We’d stay here again! Kevin as a great host!

Kevin's property by the river was absolutely placid, private, clean and very easy to navigate to. The solar string lights/clothes hanger were a really nice touch. Very tranquil listening to the river in the morning.

Amazing campsite! Wish I could’ve stayed longer. Beautiful meadow on one site and cool creek on the other. Great tent platform and plenty of room for our 23’ trailer. Gorgeous sunsets on the field! Kevin was responsive and helpful. I’d love to come back next time I’m in the area.

This spot never disappoints! We have been staying here for some time now and everytime it’s just as magical! Our pups love it as well! The river is a great way to cool off and have some fun!!! Kevin is an awesome host! Any questions or concerns we have he is always quick to respond!! We see many more stays here in our future!!

Site 1 Very Private Riverfront
We had the best camping weekend at Horseshoe Bend! We walked the river, watched a bald eagle, did some local hikes, and got ice cream at the goat barn just down the road. Kids, adults, and dogs were very happy! The only knock on this site is that there is a racetrack of some kind across the road, so on the weekend it was quite loud for most of the day. Other than that, the site was perfect and Kevin was a great host!

Site 1 Very Private Riverfront
This was my second time at Horseshoe Bend with my dogs and first time at Site 1. It was a very short walk to the tent platform right on the river. There was a campfire ring by the tent and picnic table and another right on the riverbank. Site 1 is very private and very serene, especially when falling asleep to the sound of the river. We even had a very large Blue Heron right across the river join us for an entire morning too! As always, Kevin is super responsive and both times I’ve been here, the sites are very clean and well maintained.

Stayed at site 4. So beautiful and very private! Site 4 set up is quaint and very unique. It was just the two of us and our two dogs so we had a TON of space. Could have easily had more people with plenty of room to spread out. Having the water and private beach was such a treat and allows for multiple set up areas. We usually use our roof top tent but went with the platform option available due to having our dogs. Possibly room in the driveway if we decided to use it but not really the right site for that. Site 2 and 3 would be ideal for a roof top tent set up. We absolutely loved site 4 and will be back for sure! Can't wait to try out other sites! Thank you so much!

We stayed at Kevin's place Labor Day weekend. It is a large private site on the riverbank. We traveled in our 27' travel trailer and rubbed the stabilizer jacks a little bit, it was minimal. The place is great clean and quiet. We didn't hear anyone else on the other 3 sites. Kevin was a responsive host and we would stay there again.

Beautiful little spot to connect with nature. Site 4 was clean and had everything you would need. Likely not spacious for more than 1 tent. Direct access to the river for swimming - water is mostly shallow with a pocket of waste deep areas. Sunny all day long on the beach. The lights at my site were not working but the others seemed to be and looked lovely! Would recommend

Site 1 Very Private Riverfront
Our second time there this summer and everything was great. This time there were people at the other sites, but site 1 was just as private and relaxed as when we were the only ones in the area. Kevin is great at keeping the place as it needs to be.

Really enjoyed site #3. The platform made setting up the tent easy, and the spot felt private. Being right on the river was a highlight — spent a lot of time just sitting in the water. The fire pit was great, and there are even hooks for a hammock if you bring one. Close to the small town and plenty of hikes.

Another delightful experience at Horseshoe Bend. This camp is truly special, with it's blend of beautiful wildflower field, mountains, forest, and babbling river. I particularly enjoy the swing, which even as an "adult" I find so much joy. Thanks, Kevin for making this space available to all!

Great spot, close to stores, but far away enough to feel like you are alone in the outdoors. Neighboring campsites were not visible. Could hear them but not enough to be bothersome. Great spot, along the river, kids enjoyed exploring. Would stay there again.

Site 1 Very Private Riverfront
Absolutely LOVED this site (#1). Short walk from where you park to your site and the host has a great platform and a couple tables as well as perfect access to the rivers merging right in front of the site. Wicked fun exploring the rivers and enjoying the seclusion and peace. The host is above and beyond with communication and giving clear directions. 12/10 would recommend.
