Sacred Nectar rests on the land of the Wabanaki Tribes. This land, now known by it's view gifting fields, is one of Sandwich's top treasured gems. The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose.
Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. Nick and his tribe of like minds are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. Once this property was part of a large chicken farm, the fields were hayed and still are.
The meadow filled with water after logging occurred about 70 years ago creating the swamp.

We are in central NH only an hour from Boston off of I 93, and less than 30 miles away from the famous Lake Winnipesaukee, we are perched on a picturesque dirt road in the beautiful country town of Canterbury New Hampshire.
Whether you are up for just hanging at your campsite, exploring the swamp, picnic in the field overlooking the swamp, visiting the animals, or visiting around town, hiking nearby trials, we are here for your stay!
We have easy-to-access rustic style camping accommodations for all sized parties traveling with tents, travel trailers or small campers.
All of our sites offer potable water, solar shower bags, parking, fire pits, and a picnic table.
Welcome Center! complete with a game section, dry firewood bundles, water, fire starter kits, also, extra supplies for purchase such as drinking water, bug spray and some homemade items, eggs, toiletries and some other items to purchase with cash (honor system) or Venmo or PayPal. Check it out! You don't need to purchase extras online if you'd rather pay here with a cost savings for you :)
Onsite also, is a small library inside the Carraige House, let me know if you need a book. The old greenhouse has extra firewood available for your needs, located between 8 and 9 - also some items for you, to use, rent or purchase.
Blackberry picking Aug-Sept. 1 pint free and then $5.00 a pint-honor system.
Common Area-Strickly foot traffic only, this is a space to enjoy the open sky with a table, firepit and a grill for anyone's use. If you don't want to bring a grill and don't want to cook on grates. It is a first come first serve basis. But maybe your neighbors' will all come and cook with you?
Cornhole!! Setup on weekends along the drive and next to the Common Area, find the bags in Welcome Center. The Shelf has many games, please return when not in use.
Once you are confirmed an email is sent offering places around this beautiful town that you may visit at your leisure, including Shaker Village, Canterbury Ale works, Canterbury Woods Golf course, Hackleboro Orchards, our own Canterbury Country Store-1 mile away, Cold Garden Sprits is a new small distillery that is fascinating!
If you need more city life amenities like grocery stores or restaurants, the capitol city of Concord to the south, and the town of Tilton and Laconia to the north, are a breeze to access and are less than 20 minutes away.
Direct bookings and advanced reservations are no problem, and we also try to accommodate last minute bookings whenever we can.

Secluded in the wilderness, Boulder Brook Hipcamp has private tent sites right next to a babbling brook. The access road is a nice gravel .6 mile long road that is not maintained in the Winter. There is firewood for sale via Venmo right in the parking area, $6 per bundle. There is also a nice outhouse. There are 4 first come, first serve sites with tent platforms and fire pits. There is quick access to the Rockingham Recreational Trail, which is ideal for walking, mountain biking, and exploring. There is also a great swimming hole nearby called Chivers Pond. The campsites are located on the back corner of the Chivers Farm property and seasonal farm goods will be available for campers to purchase coming in 2025.

Established in 2004, we are an 87 acre ATFS certified Tree Farm located in the Blue Hills Range in the Foothills to NH’s White Mountains. Choose from one of four unique sites / outdoor spaces to best fit your camping needs. Book a combination to reserve a section of the mountain, or book all four sites for total privacy or for events. Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. Guests are provided with private access to several miles of multi-use nature trails, multiple scenic lookouts, a three acre PYO blueberry maze, and a dock on our private eight acre pond with available boat rentals.
At the 2WD shared parking area guests are provided with a outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a portable toilet, garden hose for washing, a power strip for charging devices, and a spigot with potable water for filling containers.
Over two decades ago we created our first campsite for the purpose of hosting family and friends. Folks enjoyed camping on the mountain so much they often would choose our farm over traditional campgrounds. Hosting campers became a regular weekend event, and to accommodate more people we created three more sites spread out across the property. In 2020, we came across the Hipcamp app and started offering private reservations to the public. Since, we have been hosting campers on a daily basis and continuously improving our sites / infrastructure / views. We’re excited to see what the next two decades hold; come join us on the mountain!
Things to do on the mountain SPRING-FALL include…
Hiking on several miles of maintained nature trails marked with clear signage for easy day/night navigation. Relaxing/taking in the scenery from several scenic lookouts located on and around the mountain’s summit; combined they provide a 360-degree view spanning from the NH/ME Seacoast to the White Mountains of NH, to the Green Mountains of VT. Fishing, paddling, swimming, or relaxing on our dock. Bird/wildlife watching, berry picking, stargazing and leaf peeping.
This is a place you can easily spend a few days and keep busy!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Someday farm and forest! Spot #8 was secluded and perfect for two people, and Barbie is a very accommodating host with almost anything you can think of available at the arrival kiosk and anything else she is close by to help provide. Alpaca coffee hour and fresh eggs from the chickens to cook over the campfire for breakfast were wonderful additions that I highly recommend. I would love to stay here again sometime soon.

We (5 ladies) just completed a lovely 4-day tent camp stay at Hussey Mountain...we lucked out - the weather was perfect! Eben is one of the most gracious hosts we have ever met; he goes out of his way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We stayed at camp site #2...it's a little bit of a hike from the 4WD parking lot, but not too difficult. There are rocks and roots everywhere, so go slow with the wagon! Eben has a great little ATV with a good wagon to tow, so getting the big gear up (tents, coolers, stoves, etc.) was easy-peasey. The views are spectacular, and it's well worth your time to trek to the summit. The campsites are pristine clean (as is the shower and outhouse!), and the big extra bonus for us was not having to leash our 2 dogs -- they thought they were in doggy Disneyland! Throughout our stay, Eben was always available if needed to bring up more water (plenty of fresh spring water is supplied in crates of 4 gallon jugs), and is a ready resource for any other information you might need. The mountain itself is amazing -- covered with black and white birch trees, maples, and pine. Eben cares about the property, and it shows. Careful clearing and forestry has resulted in a lovely natural forest setting. Our little group tends to be "glampers", so it was a little more rustic camping than we're used to, but it was really worth the extra effort. The privacy, the forest silence, OMG the sky! and the beautiful weather made this weekend a memorable one. We all agreed we want to return next year!

I've now camped at the tree farm at Hussey Mountain twice, once with a friend and most recently on my own, and both stays were fantastic. The setting is absolutely beautiful and quiet, the kind of place where you can truly unwind and enjoy being outdoors.
What really sets this place apart is the host, Eben. On our first visit, he went out of his way to help us set up our tent, which made us feel welcome from the start. When I came back as a solo female camper, he made me feel comfortable and safe throughout my stay. He offered extra firewood at no charge and even gave me a ride up to my campsite so I wouldn't have to make two trips up and down the mountain with my gear. Those small, thoughtful gestures made a big difference.
If you're looking for a scenic, peaceful place to camp, whether with friends or by yourself, I can't recommend it enough. Eben is kind, helpful, and genuinely cares about his guests. I can't wait to come back!

Overall, awesome place. My wife and I enjoyed the seclusion. Well kept, sheltered from rain, and the background noise of the creek for sleeping was perfect. Only con was the porta potty had been removed for the season already. But accomodations were available about 5 min away. Will definitely be staying here again.

The host was a delight, friendly and it is very apparent this site is a labor of love - the small details really shine here, from the fire pit covers to the thoughtfully placed tiki torches lighting the way to the loo, it's well considered and easy to recede into a relaxed state.
Despite being a New Hampshire resident most all my life, this little site felt new and unique in ways I've not experienced elsewhere in NH. Sleeps three grown men just fine, you could easily make this site work (without a tent, hammock or other solution, speaking all sleeping inside the yurt here) for a few parents and two children.
This is a great spot for folks looking to lean into the camping experience, without abandoning too many creature comforts. With civilization just 6-8min away, you get the peace and serenity of the natural environment with the peace of mind of resources and medical services immediately accessible nearby.
Give it a try, it might even become a new favorite!

We had an awesome time at site 3! The water is so beautiful and quite loud. It really does help quiet any road noise you might hear. The space is well maintained, and huge! It was really nice to have a few different spots to enjoy. We did feel that site 2 was a bit closer than we expected, but we lucked out that it was empty. There were two different groups at site 1, but you couldn’t really see anything from site 3.
There was a place just down the street about 200 meters that has wheelbarrows of wood for $10! A lot of wood and it burned so well. Much better value than the other shops that sell smaller bundles for $5.
We also had pizza from Flatbread Co in North Conway, if you’re in that area, give it a try.
I’d say we will be back again, but seeing as we came all the way from Canada, it’s unlikely, haha, but we truly enjoyed this space so much. One of our best site experiences ever.
