The Lodge and cabins we have at Sand Pond are situated about one hundred yards from beautiful sand pond (actually a lake). Sand Pond is a spring fed lake near the base of Silver Mountain which is a beautiful and close by hike to 360 views of the surrounding region/mountains. You will have easy and direct access to the sandy beach and swimming. The water is crystal clear and the water around the beach is very shallow which is great for children. The beach has a fire pit available as does the lodge. We have kayaks, a canoe and paddleboards available on the beach for guests to use. Weekend Trip to Emerald Green Cabin

We had the best time at Lisa's cabin. The cabin was super comfortable and accomodating. It had a everything we need for our stay, from plenty of kitchen supplies to extra blankets. The outhouse was also very clean and just a short walk from the cabin. We also enjoyed the walk down to the river. This spot really has it all. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Unplugged, No electricity, no wifi.

The cabin was adorable. I enjoyed my weekend “unplugged.” There are solar lights which work perfect when the sun goes down. The cabin contained everything needed for cooking. There were several options for additional lights if needed - including lanterns to take to the outhouse. I enjoyed a quiet and relaxing weekend!

We loved our stay at Emerald Green Cabin. We have stayed at many off-the-grid cabins, and this was one of our favorites. Very clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the ease of the kitchen set-up with the propane stove. The woodstove kept us plenty warm during the cold nights. Apart from some of the places we've stayed, you could notice the care and thought put into the design, build, and furnishment of the cabin. The path down to the river was fun and well-marked, though the water level was a little low due to the drought...as we expected. Lisa was an excellent host, responsive without being intrusive. We highly recommend the Emerald Green Cabin.

I had a great stay at Ryegate. The cabin was warm and homey, a nice break from camping when the rain and cold arrived. Jessica was welcoming, communicative and responsive. She provided good information about the stay and was kind enough to let me use the shower in the farmhouse, which was much appreciated. The cabin really has all you need... shelter, a cozy bed, a microwave, fridge, and coffee station. Sitting on the front porch with coffee overlooking the river and the mountain tree line is a wonderful way to spend a peaceful morning! The cabin is decorated very cute, which is a nice bonus. Note: You need to be up for a bit of outdoor life ... like using an outhouse and washing dishes in a sink outside. It isn't primitive but it is glamping.
