This is a 200 year old farm filled with life. There are well groomed areas and other more wild areas. We are on almost 13 acres of land that attracts all forms of natural wildlife. In addition, we have alpacas, pigs, sheep, goats, dogs, a cat and chickens. There is a beaver pond on the lower property.
Each site includes a place to sit and eat (ie. picnic table), fire pit and just breathtaking views. Campers can drive into and park at their site. Each site is separate and private from other sites.

We have two outdoor showers that are very rustic and open and the water is the temperature of the surrounding air (bring a bathing suit or something to shower in, there is no privacy fence at this time) This is an active farm that has an operating butcher shop on the premises. We have a farm store offering a variety of items for sale including eggs, honey, rubs and much more. There is a microwave available to the campers in the farm store as well. Each site will be given a bundle of fire wood on the house, additional wood is for sale. You are welcome to participate in farm work. Coffee (from a local NH roaster), tea, hot chocolate and potable water (from the faucet) will be available daily. We are a farm family with young children so large and rowdy or drinking parties are very heavily discouraged.

Riddle Hill Homestead is a family-run property on 24 acres in Grafton, New Hampshire, bordered by the Smith River and Manfeltree Brook. Our campsites are tucked into the woods, along field edges, and in the meadow, with a mix of open skies, tree cover, brook sounds, and quiet places to sit by the fire.
We are a working homestead, not a traditional campground, but we try to make off-grid camping comfortable and welcoming. Campers have access to a community picnic and BBQ area, non-potable water, an off-grid shower area, and a real port-a-potty near the movie and community area. We also provide one gallon of drinking water when you arrive.
Most individual sites include a portable camp toilet inside a small pop-up privacy tent. The Meadow sites do not, so please check the individual site description before booking.
Most sites also have their own fire pit. The Meadow sites and Overnight Adventurer use community fire pits instead. Your first bundle of firewood is included, and additional bundles are available for $5.
Our roadside Cookie Shop carries fresh-baked cookies, cold drinks, novelty ice creams, local products, eggs from our hens, snacks, and a small honor-system selection of camping basics and forgotten essentials when available. In October 2025, the shop was featured as the first stop on NH Chronicle’s Cookie Crawl.
Friday Night Movie Night is one of our favorite summer traditions. Campers are welcome to bring a chair or blanket, grab a snack, and watch a family-friendly movie under the stars. Some nights also include a small market, kids’ activities, or other community events. (No movie August 14th)
The Craft Cottage is our creative studio, where we host workshops, open studio time, blacklight paint parties, family activities, and seasonal events. Camping guests receive 15% off classes and workshops during their stay. You may also catch Michelle making glass beads or working on whatever project has taken over the studio that week.
During normal rainfall, the brook is a nice place to wade and explore, though water levels depend on the season and weather.

Nature provides most of the background noise. You may hear hens announcing a freshly laid egg, Mister the rooster crowing, peepers, frogs, birds, crickets, the brook, or an occasional owl. We also have dark skies and quiet country evenings.
The town beach and Northern Rail Trail are a short walk away. Hiking, lakes, mountain views, Ruggles Mine, and Haunting Whisper Vineyard & Spirits are also nearby.
Please remember that Riddle Hill Homestead is a working rural property. Wildlife, farm animals, uneven ground, tall grass, changing weather, bugs, and country sounds are all part of the experience.

We are excited to offer this amazing tipi camping experience on our working horse property. The tipi design is the basic Sioux design; the makers of our tipi were chosen to provide all the tipis for the movie Dances with Wolves because of their respect for authenticity and excellent craftsmanship.
The tipi is 18' W x 15' H. Inside, it is roughly 16' in diameter and 13'2" high. It has a 6' entrance with a zippered door and mosquito mesh. There is mosquito netting around the top smoke flaps and a critter guard mesh that covers the bottom circumference where the tipi and floor meet. To keep things warm on those chilly nights or take the edge off the crisp morning air, there is a small wood pellet stove inside.
There is a queen-size futon and plenty of space to sleep on the floor with your own sleeping bags or cots. The maximum occupancy is 6 people. The campsite setup is a mixture of Indigenous and Cowboy Western culture. It features a dining area close to the tipi with a picnic table.
You can relax at the fire pit area beside the Kampfire Cauldron (handmade on-site!) and enjoy cookouts, campfires, and great conversations with friends and family while listening to the calm waters of Giles Brook a few feet away.
Firewood is included in your stay. An outhouse is also located nearby, so you don’t have to entirely "rough it." Potable water can be provided if you do not bring your own.
Local activities include: hiking trails, parks, lakes, horseback rides, kayaking, fishing, motorsports, relaxing by the creek on-site, axe throwing, range, skiing/tubing, and so much more!

2 nights at Sip Pond Lakefront Cottage
My wife and I booked this as a couples' getaway and had a wonderful time. Despite rainy weather for much of our stay, the pondfront setting was beautiful and peaceful. The wood-burning stove made the cottage especially cozy, and we found ourselves enjoying the sound of the rain and the view across the water. A perfect place to unplug, relax, and spend quality time together. We'd definitely come back.

Not our first time at Horseshoe Bend and definitely not our last! We’ve stayed at a few different sites over the years, and while Site 3 is still our favorite, Site 1 was still fantastic!
Being right on the river was amazing—perfect for relaxing by the water, letting the kids explore, and giving our dog plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors.
We were also excited to see the addition of a porta potty since our last visit. It was clean, convenient, and a great improvement, especially when camping with kids.
One of the things we love most about Horseshoe Bend is that it feels peaceful and secluded without being difficult to access. Every visit reminds us why we keep coming back… worth every penny and when we try somewhere else, we instantly regret our bad choice. Already looking forward to our next trip in about two weeks!

The perfect feeling of elevated camping! The wrap around windows and bench seats make this place so cozy. You have most everything you may need as noted in other reviews. Worth noting electricity is on generator only but there was even a charger battery pack left for us with outlet/USB connections should you need it to charge phones and such. Only turned electricity on for use of coffee pot!

Firefly Field at Peaceful Packies @ 3 Willows Farm was one of the best Hipcamp experiences we’ve had.
We stayed during Bike Week and the location was perfect, only about 25 minutes from Laconia, making it an easy ride while still offering a quiet escape from the crowds. The campsite is a large, open field with plenty of room between sites, so it never felt cramped or overcrowded.
The property has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including an outdoor shower and a small camp store stocked with fresh bread, cookies, firewood, fire starters, and other essentials. The alpacas were a fun bonus and added to the charm of the farm without ever being a nuisance.
What truly made this place stand out was the hospitality. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. As motorcycle campers, we especially appreciated their understanding after the rain made the grass slick and difficult to navigate on our bikes. They went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable and taken care of.
If you’re looking for a family-friendly campground with plenty of space, great amenities, and genuinely wonderful hosts, this is the place. We will definitely be back.

Great spot! Really a lovely location. Just a few minutes from lake Ossipee. Nice flat place for our rv right by the water. The lights are a thoughtful touch too :) We saw Mergansers 😍Yes you can hear the race track but its only sometimes and not intense. Couldnt hear it when tubing on the water, or inside our camper. All the other sites on the property were booked but its still very private, never heard the other campers, and you can't see anyone unless they're walking to the potty. We will 100% book this spot again!

Riddle Hill Homestead was a wonderful experience! The campsite was as advertised, complete with fire pit, hammock swing chairs and surrounded by a babbling brook…so peaceful! The owners were lovely people and host a Friday night movie under the stars, do catch the Friday Movie Night if you can this summer! Also, if you are really lucky, you might get to pet a very good boy!!
We were delighted to indulge in yummy homemade cookies from their roadside cookie stand, which also had fresh NH made donuts for purchase in the morning, win win for us!
Since we were already packing paddle boards and bicycles for this particular weekend adventure (both activities are readily accessible within minutes of this campsite) we opted to rent all of the overnight camping amenities! So glad we did! We arrived in the evening to a fully setup campsite: roomy and airy tent, blown up queen size mattress, clean white sheets and pillows, and 2 lightweight sleeping bags perfect for the weather!
We could not be more pleased with our stay!

Amazing! The view is amazing. Everything is thought out and this is a great glamping option on a beautiful piece of the pond. Instructions were easy and the cottage and port o potty was spotless. This is a special place that will definitely be on our local rotation of places to come back to!

Extremely beautiful site (Site #3) but it was not “very private” because Site #4 is approximately 80 feet away and we could hear the other campers and see them as they kept walking out from their site. Also, if you bring a dog be aware the site has a very large drop to the water on some portions of the site. Again, beautiful site as long as you aren’t looking for complete privacy!

Everything was as advertised or better! The Safari Tent site is very private and quiet. The “loo” is sparkling clean and the site was very well equipped. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
The hot shower near the hot tub was LEGITIMATELY HOT and the hot tub was clean with a great view of the pond.
