Established in 2004, we are an 87 acre ATFS certified Tree Farm located in the Blue Hills Range in the Foothills to NH’s White Mountains. Choose from one of four unique sites / outdoor spaces to best fit your camping needs; book a combination to reserve a section of the mountain, or book all four sites for total privacy or for events. Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. Guests are provided with private access to several miles of multi-use nature trails, multiple scenic lookouts, a three acre PYO blueberry maze, and a dock on our private eight acre pond with available boat rentals. At the 2WD shared parking area guests are provided with a outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a portable toilet, garden hose for washing, a power strip for charging devices, and a spigot with potable water for filling containers. Over two decades ago we created our first campsite for the purpose of hosting family and friends. Folks enjoyed camping on the mountain so much they often would choose our farm over traditional campgrounds. Hosting campers became a regular weekend event, and to accommodate more people we created three more sites spread out across the property. In 2020, we came across the Hipcamp app and started offering private reservations to the public. Since, we have been hosting campers on a daily basis and continuously improving our sites / infrastructure / views. We’re excited to see what the next two decades hold; come join us on the mountain! Things to do on the mountain SPRING-FALL include… Hiking on several miles of maintained nature trails marked with clear signage for easy day/night navigation. Relaxing/taking in the scenery from several scenic lookouts located on and around the mountain’s summit; combined they provide a 360-degree view spanning from the NH/ME Seacoast to the White Mountains of NH, to the Green Mountains of VT. Souhegan Shores

Camp by the river bank of the Souhegan River under shade of oak, hickory, blue birch, hemlock and white pine. Let the song of the rapids sing you to sleep. Maybe the resident owls will join the serenade. This slice of heaven is only 5 minutes from the Everett Turnpike and within an hour from Boston. Weather concerns? The best forecast we've found for Merrimack is https://www.wmur.com/weather. Want to see what the river is doing? Check out https://water.noaa.gov/gauges/SOHN3. 500 CFS is a sporty run with canoe or kayak. SPECIAL NOTE: June 16th Update River has dropped to 300 CFS which means it's still a bit pushy but is at a nice level for boating. Roads are passable. We just had campsites and surrounding trails sprayed for mosquitos so we hope for a sharp improvement on those pests. Still bring your repellent and stop at WalMart or shop Amazon for a Thermocell. Keeping the campfire burning helps as well. More description... Site-1 is located under the trees adjacent to our 3 acre meadow and Christmas Tree farm. Camp near the bank of the Souhegan River in the shade while listening to the river tumble over the ledges upstream. In season, enjoy the chest deep swimming hole 100 feet from your campsite. Two horses graze on the other side of the privacy fence. If you don't like friendly dogs try site 2 where we have a better chance of keeping our dog Wilson from dropping in to visit. He loves people too much not to want to greet folks on Site 1. Site-2 is at the farthest most downstream end of the property and from mid-May to mid-October it is totally screened by foliage. From your site you only see trees and the river. If you don't like other dogs, this is the site you want. Still no guarantee Wilson won't visit, but it's easier to keep Wilson away from this corner of the property. The other side of the river is town conservation land so the only people you're likely to see will be passing by in kayaks or on paddleboards. In dry season, both sites are a great place to start a float trip and you'll likely have the next 1.5 miles all to yourself since rapids up stream become impassable wet rocks in July and August. You are only two traffic lights away from the Merrimack Premium Outlet Mall if you need something to do during inclement weather.

Boulder Brook

Secluded in the wilderness, Boulder Brook Hipcamp has private tent sites right next to a babbling brook. The access road is a nice gravel .6 mile long road that is not maintained in the Winter. There is firewood for sale via Venmo right in the parking area, $6 per bundle. There is also a nice outhouse. There are 4 first come, first serve sites with tent platforms and fire pits. There is quick access to the Rockingham Recreational Trail, which is ideal for walking, mountain biking, and exploring. There is also a great swimming hole nearby called Chivers Pond. The campsites are located on the back corner of the Chivers Farm property and seasonal farm goods will be available for campers to purchase coming in 2025.

Blackberry picking Aug-Sept. 1 pint free and then $5.00 a pint-honor system. Common Area-Strickly foot traffic only, this is a space to enjoy the open sky with a table, firepit and a grill for anyone's use. If you don't want to bring a grill and don't want to cook on grates. It is a first come first serve basis. But maybe your neighbors' will all come and cook with you? Cornhole!! Setup on weekends along the drive and next to the Common Area, find the bags in Welcome Center. The Shelf has many games, please return when not in use. Once you are confirmed an email is sent offering 30 places around this beautiful town that you may visit at your leisure, including Shaker Village, Canterbury Ale works, Canterbury Woods Golf course, Hackleboro Orchards, our own Canterbury Country Store-1 mile away, Cold Garden Sprits is a new small distillery that is fascinating! If you need more city life amenities like grocery stores or restaurants, the capitol city of Concord to the south, and the town of Tilton and Laconia to the north, are a breeze to access and are less than 20 minutes away. Campsites are situated in the wooded area on our property land that integrates into hundreds of acres of conservation land with hiking trails that are also great for XC skiing, kettle ponds, and wetlands. The property is surrounded on 3 sides by conservation land with trails, 45 minutes from Boston and 10 minute drive to groceries, stores and restaurants. The house is right off a country road with our property and conservation land both across the street and behind our house. The area is in the heart of New England and is beautiful at all times of year. Minutes from Rte 495 and 2, we are along a popular bike route, 10 minutes from Carlson Orchards and the bistro/cafe Harvard General Store. Wood can be gathered from the acres of woods where you are camping. We also sell lumber scraps, usually pine, by the bag. We ask that guests don’t take our cordwood that we heat our house with! In addition to our campsite, we have goats, chickens, and lambs that guests can say hi to. Additionally I make functional pottery and herbal salves for purchase. About

Perched on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, Hampton Beach State Park provides year-round adventure. Activities on offer include swimming, fishing, and boating, as well as simply unwinding on the sandy shore. Hampton Beach State Park Campground is the only RV park directly on the New Hampshire coast and has 28 RV sites with hookups for water, sewer and electricity (RVs must be self-contained; tents and pop-ups are not permitted). The park is small enough that the campground is within walking distance of all the attractions.

Tips for snagging a campsite

Bookings can easily be secured online or by phone.
Same-day bookings are possible, and bookings may be made up to 11 months in advance.
As Hampton Beach is a popular destination with few sites, booking in advance is highly recommended, especially during the summer and on weekends year-round.

When to go

Hampton Beach State Park is open year-round but the campground only opens from early May to the end of October. Summer is the busiest time in the park, with many guests lured by the sandy beach and warm(er) water. Spring through early fall also offers the chance to see migrating whales. Winter has its own appeal as storm-watchers can marvel at the power of the ocean as waves crash onto shore.

Know before you go

Day users can make a reservation before arriving at the park as parking is limited (particularly on sunny weekends and holidays). Fees are doubled for RVs.
Pets are not allowed on the beach from May 1 to September 30. Outside those dates, they are welcome but must be kept on a leash.
A park store is located in the day-use area. Restaurants and other services are offered along Rt. 1A, just a short walk north.
