Sunset Hill Orchard was operated as a family-managed fully operating Apple Orchard from the 1940s until 2000. The Orchard still has hundreds of apple trees and in the transition to the next generation, hosted events for many years. We have a beautifully manicured clearing with a fire pit and the second largest ash Tree in the state of NH; The New Hampshire Big Tree County Champion for Hillsboro County. We decided to shift our offering to a more community-oriented and environment-friendly area. Sunset Hill Orchard sits atop a hill with views of local hiking areas like the Uncanookic Mountains and on a clear winter day Pats Peak. We would like a tent(s) set up to find ideal spots around the manicured grass around the ash tree to maintain the area. Just like wilderness adventures, there could be poison ivy, sumac, and other uncomfortable part of nature, please always use caution.Hanks Spot boasts a 1940 Buick Special. The Buick was driven to the top of the orchard in the late 50's and has become a centerpiece for picture-taking in the orchard. This quadrant is the closest to the community campfire fit.

Sunset Hill Pat's Place

We really loved Eulalie’s camper. It was cozy and had beautiful views out of every window. The environment the camper was so peaceful. We enjoyed making a fire and even saw a porcupine! The only small issue was there wasn’t a sharp knife for cooking, but we’ll happily bring our own next time because we’ll definitely be back.

Sunset Hill Orchard - Hanks Spot

Eulalie and her husband were so helpful and welcoming and made sure I found the spot when I arrived. The orchard is so beautiful and peaceful. The whole place is very grassy, not a root or rock in sight; ideal camping conditions! I woke up to all the birds singing and had a great stay here. Would totally recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet and comfortable place to camp!
