Such a cool spot! The RV site is pristine and has a fantastic setup with extras like tables, string lights, sink etc that are so helpful. Eben is a great host, gave us tons of ideas of things to do on the property as well as nearby. The property is SO cool, we spent an afternoon exploring the mountain - it's clear he takes incredible care of his land, the trails are well maintained and marked, the blueberry patches were SO amazing, and we got to check out the tent sites which also had fantastic setups with lots of extras. We had a great time!

This was our 3rd time back to Hussey Mtn. Site 4 is our spot. My son and I have been able to create good memories each visit and the 3rd stay was just as good as the first two. Ebon, the property owner, is always available to answer q’s and he consistently adds nice touches to the property every year. Everything is well maintained and great attention to detail. He knows what campers need on site to be comfortable. So, chalking another trip on the board. Reserve a site and see for yourself.

Great views, awesome host. He was Super helpful and knowledgeable about the area and even gave us information about our next stop on our trip in Maine. We stayed at site 3 which is a short hike up the mountain and well worth it. The wild blueberries everywhere and rocky clearings were a great experience. I highly recommend going with light gear if you’re staying on site 3, or opting for paying the fee to have your gear taken up. I decided to carry some of mine up at first, but after hiking up to check out the trail I was happy to pay the fee.

I cannot say enough good things about this location. Eben, the host, has turned the side of a mountain into an inviting and private place to rest and explore. Me, my husband and dog stayed for 2 nights and even though we got a raining day/night the campsite is so magical that the bad weather didn’t interrupt our ability to have fun and enjoy the gorgeous view. Eben is kind and very helpful. You can see how much he cares about his land. He keeps his acreage as wild as possible while still providing a lot of creature comforts at the site. We cannot wait to come back and next time it will be for more than 2 night

What a great spot to camp. Loved the river that surrounds the property, and the little area where you can soak in it after a day of activities. Shower was great, firepits, close proximity to the bathrooms, honestly couldn't ask for anymore... Great lake nearby, and anything you need is not far away.

Great camping site with all the necessary items (picnic table, tarp, bathroom, flat ground). Felt secluded and private despite being close to town, very friendly host and a bonus dog! Unfortunately weather prevented us from swimming but the river looked great!

Great, pretty isolated spot. Beautiful rapids next to the campsite, and good communication from the host. Would stay there again!

2 nights at Tripp Mine Gemstones & Camping

Joe's land was the first time our family had used Hipcamp so we were a little unsure of what to expect. The property is a mix of woods and of course the mine. It was so peaceful and undisturbed that we weren't sure we were in the right place! We originally planned on staying at the Ceremony Site, but we moved to the Primary site due to our heavy load (this was one stop during a long vacation) and recent rains made us not want to go down the rough and muddy road. Once we were setup we were able to take in the beauty of the space. We ran into Joe a few times, but wish we could have spent more time with him learning about the land and history of the mine. All in all we had a great time and if we are ever in the area again, we'll definitely return!

Things were “All Good” at Cheryl’s place!! Interactive art, outhouses and a stage all available! Plenty of level area and adequately separated sites complete the picture!! Definitely would stay there again! Awesome! Thanks Cheryl!

We love this spot! This is our third time camping here. Love falling asleep to the sounds of the flowing river. Very private and secluded, with easy drive in access to the campsites. Will definitely be back again.

Souhegan Shores

Camp above the bank of the Souhegan River under shade of oak, hickory, blue birch, hemlock and white pine. Let the song of the rapids sing you to sleep. Maybe the resident owls will join the serenade. This slice of heaven is only 5 minutes from the Everett Turnpike and within an hour of Boston. Weather concerns? The best forecast we've found for Merrimack is https://www.wmur.com/weather. Want to see what the river is doing? Check out https://water.noaa.gov/gauges/SOHN3. 500 CFS is a sporty run with canoe or kayak. Anything under 200 is great for swimming with kids. SPECIAL NOTE: June 22th Update River has dropped to 200 CFS which means it's at a nice level for both swimming and boating. Roads are passable. We just had campsites and surrounding trails sprayed for mosquitos and are seeing a sharp improvement on those pests. Keeping the campfire burning helps as well. More description... Site-1 is located under the trees adjacent to our 3 acre meadow and Christmas Tree farm. Camp near the bank of the Souhegan River in the shade while listening to the river tumble over the ledges upstream. In season, enjoy the chest deep swimming hole 100 feet from your campsite. Two horses graze on the other side of the privacy fence. If you don't like friendly dogs try site 2 where we have a better chance of keeping our dog Wilson from dropping in to visit. He loves people too much not to want to greet folks on Site 1. Site-2 is at the farthest most downstream end of the property and from mid-May to mid-October it is totally screened by foliage. From your site you only see trees and the river. If you don't like other dogs, this is the site you want. Still no guarantee Wilson won't visit, but it's easier to keep Wilson away from here. The other side of the river is town conservation land so the only people you're likely to see will be passing by in kayaks or on paddleboards. In dry season, both sites are a great place to start a float trip and you'll likely have the next 1.5 miles all to yourself since rapids up stream become impassable wet rocks in July and August. You are only two traffic lights away from the Merrimack Premium Outlet Mall if you need something to do during inclement weather.

Established in 2004, we are an 87 acre ATFS certified Tree Farm located in the Blue Hills Range in the Foothills to NH’s White Mountains. Choose from one of four unique sites / outdoor spaces to best fit your camping needs; book a combination to reserve a section of the mountain, or book all four sites for total privacy or for events. Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. Guests are provided with private access to several miles of multi-use nature trails, multiple scenic lookouts, a three acre PYO blueberry maze, and a dock on our private eight acre pond with available boat rentals. At the 2WD shared parking area guests are provided with a outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a portable toilet, garden hose for washing, a power strip for charging devices, and a spigot with potable water for filling containers. Over two decades ago we created our first campsite for the purpose of hosting family and friends. Folks enjoyed camping on the mountain so much they often would choose our farm over traditional campgrounds. Hosting campers became a regular weekend event, and to accommodate more people we created three more sites spread out across the property. In 2020, we came across the Hipcamp app and started offering private reservations to the public. Since, we have been hosting campers on a daily basis and continuously improving our sites / infrastructure / views. We’re excited to see what the next two decades hold; come join us on the mountain! Once you are confirmed an email is sent offering places around this beautiful town that you may visit at your leisure, including Shaker Village, Canterbury Ale works, Canterbury Woods Golf course, Hackleboro Orchards, our own Canterbury Country Store-1 mile away, Cold Garden Sprits is a new small distillery that is fascinating! If you need more city life amenities like grocery stores or restaurants, the capitol city of Concord to the south, and the town of Tilton and Laconia to the north, are a breeze to access and are less than 20 minutes away. Bear Brook has everything you’d expect from New Hampshire’s largest developed state park: 40 miles of hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and equestrian trails; hidden bogs, marshes, and ponds; a day-use area, group areas, and campsites; boat rentals—even two archery ranges.
