Beautiful, peaceful, private location on Mt. Kearsarge in Warner, NH. Including the new dog-friendly fenced campsite for off-leash camping with your 4 legged pals. Vehicles can easily enter private driveway, room for camper van and class B but not large RV. Bordering Rollins State Park and Kearsarge Mtn. State Forest, that encompasses 3,893 acres that covers most of Mt. Kearsarge. My campsite is located at the historic property settled by the Watkins family in the early 1790's. Abner Watkins was a founding father of Warner and a soldier in the Revolutionary War serving under Ebenezer Webster, father of Daniel. With other men from Warner and surrounding communities, they fought in the Battles of Bennington and Saratoga and came back victorious. Abner with his wife Ruth and family retired up here on the mountain and are buried at the small cemetery down the road. Enjoy this peaceful spot surrounded by beautiful oak, maple, birch, pine, hemlock and ash trees. Abundant wildlife lives on the mountain including deer, moose, bear, bobcat and turkeys. Plenty of shade with a new outhouse, fresh water, fire pit and a picnic table. Plenty of free firewood to gather from around the site. Right next door is the Rollins State Park toll gate to drive up Mt. Kearsarge and also access to miles of hiking trails. Roomy 8’ X 11’ tent on raised platform with solar power inside tent.

Riddle Hill Homestead is a family-run property on 24 acres in Grafton, New Hampshire, bordered by the Smith River and Manfeltree Brook. Our campsites are tucked into the woods, along field edges, and in the meadow, with a mix of open skies, tree cover, brook sounds, and quiet places to sit by the fire. We are a working homestead, not a traditional campground, but we try to make off-grid camping comfortable and welcoming. Campers have access to a community picnic and BBQ area, non-potable water, an off-grid shower area, and a real port-a-potty near the movie and community area. We also provide one gallon of drinking water when you arrive. Most individual sites include a portable camp toilet inside a small pop-up privacy tent. The Meadow sites do not, so please check the individual site description before booking. Most sites also have their own fire pit. The Meadow sites and Overnight Adventurer use community fire pits instead. Your first bundle of firewood is included, and additional bundles are available for $5. Our roadside Cookie Shop carries fresh-baked cookies, cold drinks, novelty ice creams, local products, eggs from our hens, snacks, and a small honor-system selection of camping basics and forgotten essentials when available. In October 2025, the shop was featured as the first stop on NH Chronicle’s Cookie Crawl. During normal rainfall, the brook is a nice place to wade and explore, though water levels depend on the season and weather. Nature provides most of the background noise. You may hear hens announcing a freshly laid egg, Mister the rooster crowing, peepers, frogs, birds, crickets, the brook, or an occasional owl. We also have dark skies and quiet country evenings. The town beach and Northern Rail Trail are a short walk away. Hiking, lakes, mountain views, Ruggles Mine, and Haunting Whisper Vineyard & Spirits are also nearby. Please remember that Riddle Hill Homestead is a working rural property. Wildlife, farm animals, uneven ground, tall grass, changing weather, bugs, and country sounds are all part of the experience. Come for a quiet campsite, a creative weekend, or a fresh cookie by the campfire. We are glad you found us and hope you feel at home here.

The Wolf Swamp is off the beaten path, it was named by the Pony Express Riders who traveled the Trails from the Canterbury Railroad Station to the Northfield Station. They reported many Wolf sitings in The Swamp over the years and the name stuck. We are located on 52 acres with amazing views, trails and beautiful Beaver Ponds. Although we are about a mile out in the woods, w are 10 minutes from everything, shopping, restaurants, local attractions which include local farm stands, places to swim, fish, kayak and the Merrimack River. There is a playground park and Pond 5 minutes away for the Family to enjoy. Also several local Brewpubs close by, we are only 10 minutes from the Highland Mountain Bike Park.

Stonewall Meadows Farm is a 127 acre farm, surrounded by peace and quiet deep in the woods of NH. Our Hipcamp goal is to provide you with a refreshing, restorative, unplugged, rustic, experience in the woods. The miles of uphill, winding, dirt roads, finally bring you to this historic mountain property of local legend and myth! Just the journey is a scenic trip, especially in NH’s amazing fall foliage season! Come make some memories with us, become part of the journey to bring our vision for the land to life! We are rebuilding/re-pasturing the land, for a sustainable future of grass/tree based farming and secluded nature enjoyment. We have two sites, intentionally separated by trees, elevation, distance of 400yrds. We designed the sites to insure each space feels very private. Our first site is the very popular, much loved, dog friendly, Meadow View. We are excited to have opened our exclusive MT Top site! Both sites have a different style and are sure to excite the person looking to get outside. Read the detailed site descriptions and info sections for each site. We are open year round, with each New England season having special, unique things to offer. Summers are a no brainer with Newfound lake nearby, the hiking trails in the White Mountains, or hike direct to MT Cardigan from your campsite. Fall has spectacular foliage and perfect cooler temps to sit around the campfire drinking coffee/hot chocolate, snuggled up in a hoodie or under a blanket! Winter affords a pristine, beautiful, snowy landscape that is straight out of a Robert Frost poem! Winter activities include snowshoeing, winter hiking, and possibly snowmobiling down the local club maintained trail if open. Be advised to come prepared with good tires as we get SERIOUS winters and our remote, mountain location often requires 4wd to get up the TOWN roads to us, much less the farm roads. We raise chickens and Mangalista pigs! Try some of our farm fresh eggs/bacon, taste the farm fresh difference! Book a farm tour, there are always projects to see and stories to tell of the properties history, and future. We are always improving and building the land to better serve you. Hope to see you here soon! Message us with questions; we are happy to serve you! Thank you for visiting!
