Beautiful, peaceful, private location on Mt. Kearsarge in Warner, NH. Including the new dog-friendly fenced campsite for off-leash camping with your 4 legged pals. Vehicles can easily enter private driveway, room for camper van and class B but not large RV. Bordering Rollins State Park and Kearsarge Mtn. State Forest, that encompasses 3,893 acres that covers most of Mt. Kearsarge. My campsite is located at the historic property settled by the Watkins family in the early 1790's. Abner Watkins was a founding father of Warner and a soldier in the Revolutionary War serving under Ebenezer Webster, father of Daniel. With other men from Warner and surrounding communities, they fought in the Battles of Bennington and Saratoga and came back victorious. Abner with his wife Ruth and family retired up here on the mountain and are buried at the small cemetery down the road. Enjoy this peaceful spot surrounded by beautiful oak, maple, birch, pine, hemlock and ash trees. Abundant wildlife lives on the mountain including deer, moose, bear, bobcat and turkeys. Plenty of shade with a new outhouse, fresh water, fire pit and a picnic table. Plenty of free firewood to gather from around the site. Right next door is the Rollins State Park toll gate to drive up Mt. Kearsarge and also access to miles of hiking trails. Roomy 8’ X 11’ tent on raised platform with solar power inside tent.

This is a beautiful new campsite with a ready-to-camp 8' X 11' tent on a platform. Enough parking for 2 cars and a nice campfire pit (when permitted). Abundant firewood for gathering. About 2 acres to yourself for roaming but next to thousands of acres of state park and state forest land. Nice new outhouse for all your needs! Water hose for drinking etc. just a few feet from the site. Solar panels provide enough power for a light in the tent and for device charging or air pump. AC power strip inside the tent (max. 200 watts). Picnic table and information board with trail maps and more. Close to hundreds of miles of hiking trails on Mt. Kearsarge. Please take waste away and leave no trace.

Ed has a very nice set up! Clean outhouse, clean and spacious tent, and tall trees around the fire pit that you can see some stars through. It’s not totally remote, as there are some houses around partially in sight. But it still feels private and no noise from the road. Plenty of space around to gather wood and enjoy the woods. Ed was very welcoming and communicative. Would love to come back!

The arrival is a little rough if you use google maps READ HIS INSTRUCTIONS! The space is amazing with a good tent already set up, great fire pit, clean outhouse, and a nice area to walk around with plenty of wildlife and mushrooms to investigate! The obly thing is the tent site is not as private as you may think. Its not terrible especially with the outhouse or once it gets dark, but with the neighbor across the street, it feels like you are in their back yard.

This hiocamp was just that! Ed met me at the site, showed me around, a perfect host. The site is private with a cute little outhouse right there. Plenty of firewood and peace! Would absolutely stay again and enjoyed my NH stay!

Really great site for those camping with pups!! There is one other site on Ed’s property so you share the outhouse, but the sites have tree cover for privacy and unless the other campers are loud you won’t really hear them. The fenced site has a great amount of space for the dogs to run and play, and is fully contained with wire fencing so you don’t have to worry about keeping them on a leash… unless your dog is an escape artist :) Really great size fire pit, and we were excited that the site comes with a picnic table too. Ed was very welcoming, and there are lots of nice touches for the pups throughout the site — highly recommend!!

Ed was a fantastic host! The tent was super clean and comfortable, the close proximity of the water hose and bathroom were great, and he even left us a case of flowers! 10/10 we will absolutely be coming back.

Ed was so sweet and responded very quickly to my messages. The site was perfect and clean! Having access to a power strip and water hose felt luxurious! The site was private on a dead end road. 11/10 site! Already planning on when to come back

Ed was such a hospitable host. He thought of so many details that really added to the space: a beautiful and clean outhouse, a solar powered power strip in the tent with a lamp & phone charger, covering wood for us before it rained, etc. the tent platform was awesome! So clean and dry.

This was a beautifully done site! The outhouse was beautiful and clean! The host was so incredibly kind and even left a bouquet of flowers on the picnic table! We are already planning another trip here!
