Sacred Nectar Sanctuary

10 sites ¡ RVs, Tents280 acres ¡ North Sandwich, NH
One of Sandwich's most treasured gems are the fields of the Intervale. This Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike off the original McCrillis family that settled the land here. It was his place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled plans to sell off some of the land arose. Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes diminishing the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. Hip Camp is the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an ecofriendly, Intentional Community. Nick and his ever-growing tribe are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. Thank you for being a part of the healing <3 We hope to hear from you <3

Souhegan Shores

2 sites ¡ RVs, Tents21 acres ¡ Merrimack, NH
Camp alongside the tree lined bank of the Souhegan River. Fall to sleep to the sound of river flowing over the rocks up stream. In season, enjoy the swimming hole 100 feet from your campsite. Site-1 is located under the trees adjacent to a 3 acre meadow and Christmas Tree farm. Camp above the bank of the Souhegan River in the shade of white pine and shag bark hickory and listen to the river tumble over the ledges upstream. In season, enjoy the swimming hole 100 feet from your campsite. On the other side of the fence is a pasture where two horses graze. If you don't like friendly dogs then you'll be better off on site 2 where we can better keep our dog Wilson from dropping in to visit. He loves people too much not to want to greet folks on Site 1. Site-2 is located at the downstream end of the property and is completely private. You'll see nothing from your site but trees and the river. If you or your dog don't like dogs, this is the site you want. It's far easier to keep Wilson away from this corner of the property. The other side of the river is town conservation land so the only people you're likely to see will be passing by in canoes or kayaks. In the dry season, this is a great place to start a float trip and you'll likely have the next 1.5 miles all to yourself since the rapids upstream become unpassable in late July and August. Now that TENTRR has gone bankrupt, Site 2 is available year round. If NH gets clobbered by snow, just check ahead to ensure your host has finished plowing the access road.

Sweet Song Acres

4 sites ¡ RVs, Tents100 acres ¡ NH
Sweet Song Acres is 100+ acres of secluded forest nestled along the Little Sugar River, at the base of Perry Mountain. Located in rural Unity, NH and Charlestown, NH, just across the Vermont state line. Southernmost point, located in Charlestown is one of two campsites. The other is Shady Grove, located in Unity. The two sites, located in bordering towns share the same entrance and are connected by a 1/4 mile trail. Both are very large sites. Campers would drive to both sites down a trail so we highly recommend a vehicle with decent clearance and 4WD or AWD. Southernmost Point is a fully drive-in site. Shady Grove campers park above the site and the campsite is down a short path, just a few hundred feet or so. The property consists of varied terrain of rock ledges, lush moss, streams, and panoramic views at the summit. There are many options of local outdoor activities in the area or if you prefer, just sit and "listen to the river sing sweet songs to rock your soul".

Dog-friendly camping in New Hampshire guide

Overview

Let your pup pull up around the fire pit alongside you next time you head out on a camping adventure by finding yourself a dog-friendly campground, a pet-friendly cabin, campsite, or glamping experience in the heart of New Hampshire. It can be tough to find pet-friendly hotels in popular destinations, but camping in one of New Hampshire's private, state park, or national forest campgrounds is a much more cat- and dog-friendly way to travel. Lots of camping areas have all the amenities—bathhouses, wifi, RV site hookups, swimming pools, and even dog parks. Your crew of happy campers will love the relaxing New England scenery close to scenic hiking trails and New Hampshire's White Mountain National Forest. The friendly nature of campground pet policies at camping resorts with RV sites, cabin vacation rentals, yurts, and tent sites will have you kicking off your shoes the minute you check-in.
