Our ancestor Ebenezer Cole, settled in our little corner of Lebanon, NH., in 1847. Eight generations of our family have lived, and farmed here since. Although once almost totally cleared for crops and grazing, most of our land is now devoted to forestry, but some land remains open and devoted to forage crops. We also have a modern hillside maple orchard. Although we no longer actively farm full time, the stewardship of our farm is of upmost importance to our family. We encourage people to visit our property and enjoy it fully. We host a Boy Scout Troop campsite on another part of our property. We are located in the heart of the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee Region with countless cultural, and recreational opportunities just minutes away. We hope you will come for a visit and learn to love our farm and community as much as we do. Learn more about this land: Shaded Brookside Glen is a private, stream side, level, pull through site for a small RV, trailer, or tent. This is the private campsite we developed on our farm several years ago for when my wife and I need a little getaway, but don't have the time to travel. Shaded Brookside Glen is a level, mowed lawn surrounded by mature trees and bushes. Dry camping only, but a nice composting outhouse is easily available nearby. Water is available from the year round trout stream, but drinking water must be carried in. Shaded Brookside Glen has a picnic table, a metal fire pit, and limited fire wood is supplied. This pull through site will accommodate a standard pickup truck tow vehicle and a trailer of about 30 feet. Straight camper vans and RVs greater than 30' may not be able to utilize the pull through feature of this site. Please contact the owner for more details.

Perfection! Nice and shady. The brook is so much fun for kids and dogs (and adults!) I just wished there was a step stool or something to help get to and from brook. Much appreciated "extras": composting toilet, picnic table, trash can. Highly recommend!

This was such a special site! We loved walking/ wading/sitting in the river and is definitely one of our favorites. Very secluded but close to everything you need or want to do. The composting toilet is very clean and the site was easy and level for our camper.

We had an amazing experience at this Campspot. The site was extremely clean, well maintained, and offered a great sense of privacy, which made the stay even more relaxing. Everything was thoughtfully set up, and it’s clear the hosts take great care of the property. It’s a perfect spot if you’re looking for a peaceful and comfortable camping experience. We would absolutely come back again.

This was easily our favorite Hipcamp so far on our 11day roadtrip with our small family. You get a whole road/loop to yourself with a gate you can close for privacy. The creek was perfect to explore and the site came with a fire pit, optional firewood for purchase, and a nice lush spot to pop your tent up. I was especially grateful for the loop aspect. We pitched our suv adaptable tent but we needed to go to the store so we detached, came back, and it was so simple to just reattach because we could loop around and pull right where we were. The outhouse was good size to change clothes in or use the restroom. There were cars who drove by up the hill but honesty it was nice (felt safe) for us after being very secluded for a while prior. The cars were up the hill so it was still private. Can’t say enough good things about this site!

Forrest’s Hipcamp spot is perfect! It’s a well maintained and super leveled spot. The brook next to the site is such a delightful treat especially at night. The outhouse is clean and fully stocked. My pup loved the spot because he had a ton of space to roam. Forrest is an amazing and communicative host. I would highly recommend this spot! Will be coming back for sure!

Beautiful spot and conveniently located. Private and peaceful with a spacious and clean outhouse. Lots of wildlife activity at night- we heard (distant) coyotes and owls as well as mystery visitors crunching through the leaves. My dog really enjoyed playing in the stream and my highlight was relaxing in our hammock reading a good book. Thank you so much, Forrest and Jean!

We really enjoyed this site! My wife and I brought our dog and used the site as a base camp for exploring some of the local trails and businesses in Lebanon, W. Lebanon, and Hanover. Very well laid out and very easy to set up. The brook was low due to little rain recently - but it still provided a nice cool down for me after a long morning of hiking. I will definitely book this site again!

Elm Tree Farm’s campsite is beautiful! The babbling brook babbled, there were plenty of spots to set up my tent, and the outhouse is the nicest I’ve ever used. Really, and I’ve used plenty. I had a great stay and will return if ever in the area again.

What a wonderful stay for our group of four adults and two dogs. The property was beautiful and offered plenty of space. Parking our small camper was a breeze on the level ground, and our friends were able to pitch their tent on equally flat terrain. We had a great time exploring the brook and even spotted some tiny fish. The fire pit was perfectly situated and we appreciated the ample firewood available for a small fee. While we could hear some traffic noise, it wasn't enough to distract from the overall tranquility of the area.

It’s a very private spot. Superbly clean composting toilet Good hardwood firewood for sale. (Bring kindling). Road noise during the day but quiets down after dark. A good location for visiting Saint Gauden National Historic Site and touring historic Cornish Artists Colony Houses.

This is a truly lovely site. I brought my 13’ travel trailer, but I also noticed multiple flat, grassy tent spots. The layout of the site was well-thought out and maximized the beauty. They maintain one of the nicest outhouses I have ever seen. This single site is a wonderfully private wooded area with the brook providing sounds, sights, and recreation (wading, skipping rocks, trying to convince your dog that getting in the water is fun, cooling off, and just being). There was one bar of cell service at times, which was perfect for me. I was able to unplug and slow down for a few days. Because of arriving later on the first day than intended and happily sleeping in the next, I did not run into Forrest, but I did note that he came and replenished the firewood near the site without making enough noise to wake me (very late sleep in). All of our communications online were very pleasant and helpful. You definitely can hear the “traffic” on the nearby, two-lane rural highway. It is not loud enough to be intrusive; you can hear the brook and birds, have a conversation, and enjoy the overall peacefulness. It is heaviest during the weekday evening commute and peters out the later into the night it gets. Personally, the benefits of the private, isolated site without other campers making noise far outweighed the road noise. Also, the location was perfect for my needs. I highly recommend Forrest and his well-designed and well-maintained campsite. I look forward to visiting it again!
