This land, now known by it's view gifting fields, is one of Sandwich's top treasured gems. The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose. Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. Nick and his tribe of like minds are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. Once this property was part of a large chicken farm, the fields were hayed and still are. The meadow filled with water after logging occurred about 70 years ago creating the swamp. Recently, small farm has been built here that includes alpacas, a llama, ducks, chickens, kitties and a rescue dog Beautiful farmland with livestock, including alpacas! An open field, forest, walking trails and a peaceful swamp with wildlife is all at your disposal while you are here at Someday Farm! We have a total of 12 sites for your enjoyment, there are a few sites here (Site 1, 5 and Site 12) that allow campers and tow behinds. Others may work We are in central NH only an hour from Boston off of I 93, and less than 30 miles away from the famous Lake Winnipesaukee, we are perched on a picturesque dirt road in the beautiful country town of Canterbury New Hampshire. Whether you are up for just hanging at your campsite, exploring the swamp, picnic in the field overlooking the swamp, visiting the animals, or visiting around town, hiking nearby trials, we are here for your stay! We have easy-to-access rustic style camping accommodations for all sized parties traveling with tents, travel trailers or small campers. All of our sites offer potable water, solar shower bags, parking, fire pits, and a picnic table. Welcome Center! complete with a game section, dry firewood bundles, water, fire starter kits, also, extra supplies for purchase such as drinking water, bug spray and some homemade items, eggs, toiletries and some other items to purchase with cash (honor system) or Venmo or PayPal. Check it out! You don't need to purchase extras online if you'd rather pay here with a cost savings for you :) Onsite also, is a small library inside the Carraige House, let me know if you need a book. The old greenhouse has extra firewood available for your needs, located between 8 and 9 - also some items for you, to use, rent or purchase. Blackberry picking Aug-Sept. 1 pint free and then $5.00 a pint-honor system. Common Area-Strickly foot traffic only, this is a space to enjoy the open sky with a table, firepit and a grill for anyone's use. If you don't want to bring a grill and don't want to cook on grates. It is a first come first serve basis. But maybe your neighbors' will all come and cook with you? Cornhole!! Setup on weekends along the drive and next to the Common Area, find the bags in Welcome Center. The Shelf has many games, please return when not in use. Once you are confirmed an email is sent offering places around this beautiful town that you may visit at your leisure, including Shaker Village, Canterbury Ale works, Canterbury Woods Golf course, Hackleboro Orchards, our own Canterbury Country Store-1 mile away, Cold Garden Sprits is a new small distillery that is fascinating! If you need more city life amenities like grocery stores or restaurants, the capitol city of Concord to the south, and the town of Tilton and Laconia to the north, are a breeze to access and are less than 20 minutes away. Direct bookings and advanced reservations are no problem, and we also try to accommodate last minute bookings whenever we can. Feel free to msg me or call for questions and information. Checkout our onsite shop (Someday Farm Market) at the barn for our own handmade/homemade items and some Alpaca products also for sale May - Nov. Also, be sure to check out all the extras (you have to review the extras to purchase firewood) offered here while you are booking your stay! There is firewood in each site for your arrival, if you use it, you pay the $8.00, if you order it online, no worries it's there for you already, and extra can be bought and delivered during your stay.

ATFS Certified Tree Farm Est. 2004 Camp with your group at our private Tree Farm / Recreation Area. Established in 2004, we are an 87 acre ATFS certified Tree Farm located in the Blue Hills Range in the Foothills to NH’s White Mountains. Choose from one of four unique sites / outdoor spaces to best fit your camping needs. Book a combination to reserve a section of the mountain, or book all four sites for total privacy or for events. Message anytime if you’re looking to use the property for a private event and we’d be happy to work with you! Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. Guests are provided with private access to several miles of multi-use nature trails, multiple scenic lookouts, a three acre PYO blueberry maze, and a dock on our private eight acre pond with available boat rentals. At the 2WD shared parking area guests are provided with a outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a portable toilet, garden hose for washing, a power strip for charging devices, and a spigot with potable water for filling containers. Over two decades ago we created our first campsite for the purpose of hosting family and friends. Folks enjoyed camping on the mountain so much they often would choose our farm over traditional campgrounds. Hosting campers became a regular weekend event, and to accommodate more people we created three more sites spread out across the property. In 2020, we came across the Hipcamp app and started offering private reservations to the public. Since, we have been hosting campers on a daily basis and continuously improving our sites / infrastructure / views. We’re excited to see what the next two decades hold; come join us on the mountain! Things to do on the mountain SPRING-FALL include… Hiking on several miles of maintained nature trails marked with clear signage for easy day/night navigation. Relaxing/taking in the scenery from several scenic lookouts located on and around the mountain’s summit; combined they provide a 360-degree view spanning from the NH/ME Seacoast to the White Mountains of NH, to the Green Mountains of VT. Fishing, paddling, swimming, or relaxing on our dock. Bird/wildlife watching, berry picking, stargazing and leaf peeping. This is a place you can easily spend a few days and keep busy!

The Wolf Swamp is off the beaten path, it was named by the Pony Express Riders who traveled the Trails from the Canterbury Railroad Station to the Northfield Station. They reported many Wolf sitings in The Swamp over the years and the name stuck. We are located on 52 acres with amazing views, trails and beautiful Beaver Ponds. Although we are about a mile out in the woods, w are 10 minutes from everything, shopping, restaurants, local attractions which include local farm stands, places to swim, fish, kayak and the Merrimack River. There is a playground park and Pond 5 minutes away for the Family to enjoy. Also several local Brewpubs close by, we are only 10 minutes from the Highland Mountain Bike Park.

Learn more about this land: Our property encompasses 3 different campsites: 1.) Camp with Stone Fireplace - a private gravel clearing with functional stone fireplace on an 11 acre parcel. 2.) A Frame to Rest In - a newer addition which is a tiny A-Frame structure close to, but separate, from the Fireplace site and shares a driveway. 3.) Easy Come Easy Go - right off 302 and has a circular gravel driveway easy for RV pull-in with a picnic table and fire ring. --------------------------------------------- Located in Bethlehem at the top of the White Mountains close to endless hiking and biking. Both downtown Bethlehem and Littleton are within a 15 minute drive, supplying many choices for food and shopping. Rainy and need more options? Take the beautiful 1 hour drive east on 302 to North Conway and visit the big outlet stores. If the weather is better, and you want a more scenic way there with hiking -- take the 25 minute drive down to Lincoln and travel the amazing Kancamangus Scenic Byway (Route 112). This is 35 miles through the White Mountains with no gas stations, so you might want to top off while in Lincoln. Thirty minutes east is the Mount Washington Cog Railway, and you will pass the historic Mount Washington Hotel on the way. Fifteen minutes south and you can be at Franconia Notch State Park.

A unique glamping getaway nestled on a mountainside, 4 miles from Evans Notch, in Chatham, NH. We have three 10x12 glamping tents tucked away in the forest on 6 acres, behind our home with glimpses of the surrounding mountains through the trees. Private and tranquil- each tent has a queen sized bed with flannel sheets, a light comforter, and a lantern. The front porch has two Adirondack chairs looking out over the forest. Each campsite has a fire pit, picnic table, and a cabinet filled with basic cook wear, plates and cups, a French press, kettle, and utensils for making meals over a campfire. Our double-header outhouse is clean and beautiful- a guest favorite! There is a short 1/8 mile walk through the woods to the camp- we provide garden wagons to tote your gear. Follow the camp path to our wooded sanctuary, sleep among the trees, marvel at the stars, tell tall tales around the fire, and unwind! The property is beautiful and Barbie is an absolute gem. We highly suggest getting coffee with the alpacas if you have a chance. Very clean and well maintained site and multiple walking trails to explore. This was our first Hipcamp experience and we were very pleased!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Someday farm and forest! Spot #8 was secluded and perfect for two people, and Barbie is a very accommodating host with almost anything you can think of available at the arrival kiosk and anything else she is close by to help provide. Alpaca coffee hour and fresh eggs from the chickens to cook over the campfire for breakfast were wonderful additions that I highly recommend. I would love to stay here again sometime soon.

I've now camped at the tree farm at Hussey Mountain twice, once with a friend and most recently on my own, and both stays were fantastic. The setting is absolutely beautiful and quiet, the kind of place where you can truly unwind and enjoy being outdoors. What really sets this place apart is the host, Eben. On our first visit, he went out of his way to help us set up our tent, which made us feel welcome from the start. When I came back as a solo female camper, he made me feel comfortable and safe throughout my stay. He offered extra firewood at no charge and even gave me a ride up to my campsite so I wouldn't have to make two trips up and down the mountain with my gear. Those small, thoughtful gestures made a big difference. If you're looking for a scenic, peaceful place to camp, whether with friends or by yourself, I can't recommend it enough. Eben is kind, helpful, and genuinely cares about his guests. I can't wait to come back!

We stayed at Peaceful Pines during prime leaf-peeping season. It was a wonderful option for us after nearly all public campsites were booked for the weekend.
