Our site is just up the road from some of the most famous hikes, overlooks, swimming holes, formations, and ski resorts in New England—and 25 minutes from the Kancamagus Highway, connecting the eastern and western White Mountains and counted among the most scenic drives in America. You will never run out of things to do in any season or weather. This site is less than 15 minutes from Cannon Mountain, Echo Lake Beach, Profile Lake, Mt. Lafayette, and less than 25 minutes from Flume Gorge, Clark's Trading Post, the seasonal Ice Castles, downtown Lincoln, the Hobo Railroad, North Woodstock, Loon Mountain, Bretton Woods, Mt. Washington, the Cog Railway, and so much more. Our 5-acre forest features just a single private campsite, with a huge tenting platform, granite fire pit, and a rocky creek passing right by the site. From the two-car parking area, a 200-ft. trail winds through the woods, over a wooden stream crossing, and ends at the site itself set far back from the road. Modern conveniences are also close by. It's 5 minutes to the nearest grocery / convenience store, 5 minutes to Rek-Lis Brewing, 4 minutes to Super Secret Ice Cream (James Beard Award nominee), 13 minutes to Polly's Pancake Parlor (our favorite) and countless other restaurants. 17 minutes to the nearest medical facility. Other Important Things: - The tenting platform is 12 ft. wide on its narrowest edge. It's flat and dry, but there are no anchor points for stakes or lines. Freestanding tents are best, or you may want to pack extra-long guy lines. - No toilet available. Guests are required to bring a camping toilet or use off-site facilities. Burying waste is not allowed due to the high water table. My friends and I (6 of us in total) had a great weekend. The privacy was wondeful and the site was plenty spacisous enough for us all. Chris was also very quick to respond to communications, which we appreciated. We all look forward to returning in the future.

I had a wonderful weekend with my girls on this campsite. There was a level platform for our tent which was very helpful for level ground the sleep on. We cooked over the little fire pit provided all weekend. The walk to the campsite was a bit longer than I expected, but it’s an easy walk and we set up in the dark with no problem. It’s a gorgeous property and piece of land. So grateful for the excursion!

Great little spot. Stayed here during a bike packing route and needed something last minute. The platform has tarps as well and helped us stay a bit drier during some moderate rain.

This spot was exactly what we were looking for! I have an injured arm, and couldn’t backpack this season.. but still wanted to have the primal feel of being in the backcountry. This spot was it. Private, open, and near a creak perfect for filtering water. Lots of coyotes and owls singing to us at night. It was an easy trip down to Franconia where we day hiked. There is no toilet and host asks to not bury, so we used doggy bags to pick up number 2s. Surprisingly, not weird if you are used to dogs. 😝 Chris was super nice and responds quickly. Thanks so much!

Secluded But Not Quiet

The site is very pretty, forest and a brook running by and a large tent platform. You are about 300 feet from the parking area down a winding forest path so be prepared to haul your stuff that distance. You have privacy from the road but unfortunately not from the neighbors who were pretty loud while I was there: children playing/ yelling, dogs barking, music playing, lawn mowers, fireworks. Manage your expectations if you are looking for a quiet retreat. The previous campers left their garbage at the site and Christopher was very quick to respond and resolve that with me which I appreciated!

The land was beautiful and spacious! Unfortunately it rained on us our whole stay so we didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit . Make sure you wear decent shoes to trek through the path because there are some roots and rocks.

Very easy to get to! My family and I were only here for one night but it was so nice. Fall colors all around and the perfect stop on our New England road trip. The parking was not bad. We had a Camry and Corolla and were able to park with no issues. Worth the price and the host was easy to communicate with. You should definitely book!

Very peaceful stay, the tent platform is in great shape and the forest was a nice get away. Recommend going to Rek Lis brewing that’s really close by too. Really cool small town.

Had a great time here. The host is very nice, and the site is very clean. There is some road traffic, but you can only hear it if a large truck goes by. It’s mostly drowned out by the brook though! I had enough reception for check in text with family. Bug bite tip: across the road there are some bushes of spotted jewel weed. In a pinch, crush a bit and rub on to help with itching (if you don’t have an allergy of some sort). Look for orange flowers resembling a trumpet.

We loved tent camping on Christopher's land. It was beautiful, private and spacious. The sounds of the brook close by were really lovely as well. You can hear cars from the site but it's a fairly quiet road so not a big deal. We will definitely be back :)

We have returned to this spot two years in a row now and love it so much! It’s the perfect spot for a quiet camp out while still being close to tons of hiking trails and Bethlehem/ Littleton in case you need a quick restock.

The site was clean, private, and genuinely a hidden gem!! There were chairs on site along with the fire pit, platform for the tent, and a pop up bathroom with the essentials. Hosts were super friendly and easy to connect with. Definitely will be rebooking

The directions are clear and easy to follow. The walk from the car is about 1 minute just watch out for your ankles cause it is walking over tree trunks and a tad muddy if it is rainy during your stay. It was absolutely stunning with a river you here as you fall asleep

Great campsite! The tent platform was a life saver. Even though it was thunder and lightning all night, we still had a blast! My dog loved swimming in the river and having the camp area to herself. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

We loved it here! Waking up to the sounds of the creek was so peaceful. The tent platform definitely came in handy in keeping us dry during a thunderstorm. It was also nice to have chairs around the fire pit. The site isn’t far from the parking area, but is very private and really feels like you’re in the woods. It’s also close to great swimming and hiking- I recommend Echo Lake, Ripley Falls, and the Basin.

Amazing spot, we strongly recommend!! It’s so secluded, by the river ! Thanks for the wood and the tarp, saved us! It was so rainy but it was amazing to be on the plateform ! It was so nice :) we will be back!

We love the plot of land this site is on. Christopher was extremely helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. The creek was a wonderful to explore, and the elevated tent platform was ideal for the rain. Overall, we had a great experience and lovely time at this campsite. Well maintained and marked. Will be coming back! 🤗

How do I give this campsite raving reviews but also keep it a secret?! This secluded gem left me absolutely spellbound. The large tent platform was a game-changer, providing a cozy, elevated haven that kept us off the uneven ground. As if that wasn't enough, the gentle melody of the beautiful brook flowing by the site lulled us into a serene sleep each night. The good-sized fire pit was a focal point of our evenings, where we shared stories and roasted marshmallows under the star-studded sky. It's the epitome of what you'd expect at a rustic campsite, but it goes the extra mile. There was even a rake thoughtfully provided to clear leaves from the site, ensuring it stayed pristine throughout our stay. The campsite's accessibility is another winner. A sturdy bridge on the trail from the parking area provided safe passage, even for those with heavy gear. The clearly marked trail leading to the site removed any worry of getting lost in the wilderness. What truly sets this campsite apart is its privacy. It felt like we had the entire forest to ourselves, making it the ideal retreat for nature lovers seeking tranquility. The subtle rustling of leaves, the gentle rush of the brook, and the crackling campfire created a symphony of natural sounds that allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the outdoors. In 1,500 characters, it's challenging to encapsulate just how incredible this campsite is. It's a well-kept secret, a slice of heaven tucked away in the wilderness
