Our property, Windswept Acres, has been a favorite destination for literally generations of visitors, whether staying in a room in the farmhouse, a bunk in the barn, or "glamping" in our Sugar House. One of those decades-long regulars asked several years ago whether they could locate their RV next to the road on a knoll overlooking our upper pond, and we told them "sure". They own a building company, and were good enough to bring a crew up to prepare the site. They laid pipes to one of our spring-fed wells for water, conduit for both electricity and phone, dug a dry well for grey-water, and moved onto the site for several years. After then they chose to move to a traditional structure further up the hill, and left behind a fully-equipped spot perfect for campers and RVs that we have offered to visiting family and guests! Easily accessible from a dirt road, your shaded site overlooks an acre pond. You are surrounded by lawns, open fields and hills with a small barn across the road from you. The pastures support horses, cattle, sheep and chickens in your neighborhood. The ponds are both great for fishing, and the large one for swimming and canoeing as well. There are trails through the woods and logging roads to be explored on foot or bike. A walk up to the top of the hill affords near-360-degree views. [Note for RV/trailer users: We are at the top of a 1.7 mile hill, of which more than a mile is dirt and the last half die or so is steep. We do NOT recommend pulling anything up this hill with front wheel drive vehicles, especially in wet conditions. If there is any question, be sure to message us for more info.] [Note for GPS-reliers: some GPS devices try to send people up the back side of the hill, which is not an adequate road for any RV or even some cars. Your route should take you to Beacon Hill Road via VT route 110. it should NOT take you to Beacon Hill Road via Brook Road!] Guests are expected to observe full COVID-19 precautions. We cannot accept bookings from high-infection-rate areas at this time. When requesting to book our site, please tell me what county you're from so we can screen guests accordingly. Beautiful Views!
Windswept Acres is an absolute GEM! Sarah and Doc were very accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Sarah even shared her freshly picked apples and pears with us. The property is very well maintained and peaceful. The views from the top of the hill were beautiful. The property itself is beautiful! What an amazing place to soak in the fall foliage. Our dog even enjoyed every minute of our stay being able to run freely. We will be back!

Camping with grandchildren
We had a wonderful time at Windswept Acres. It was the perfect setting for us to spend time camping with our two grandchildren, ages 4 and 6. The property was beautiful and allowed the kids to fish to their hearts content, catching and releasing more Bass than they could remember. Kayaking on the pond was an added bonus. The fire pit was a big hit for all of us, and was so relaxing to sit near the fire under the stars while enjoying s’mores. We would highly recommend Windswept Acres to anyone looking to camp remotely and enjoy the peace and quiet and we look forward to returning again ourselves. Kathy & David

Doc and Sarah's land was amazing, as were they themselves and their family! Very friendly and welcoming, loved chatting with them all. And they had several friendly dogs that accepted our own dog in as part of their pack, and they all went roaming the property and playing all day! Meanwhile we set up loungers under a tree near the pond and relaxed with a beautiful view. Even hiked up to the top of the hill on the back of their property for a panoramic view...so beautiful! We definitely want to come back!

Picturesque Vermont
10 out of 10! What an amazing oasis, and picturesque setting. The grounds are well manicured but still retain the natural beauty that is Vermont. A welcoming committee that any dog lover would appreciate, a large and clean pond for swimming, trails to walk and a very short trip down the hill into town for all your creature comforts. We would highly recommend this to all of our friends and family. Thanks for an unforgettable weekend!

Peaceful stay
Beautiful piece of land atop a hill. Great pong for swimming, and my dog enjoyed playing with the host's pups. The hosts were very nice and the camp spot was great with partial hookups. It can get a bit windy, but I guess thats in the name!

Absolutely wonderful!!
We loved and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and open fields overlooking the pond. The weather was great and no bugs to bother us. We swam in the pond on one of the hot days and it was very refreshing. We’d loved to return again next year! Thanks for the great place to relax and enjoy the Great Vermont outdoors!

Windswept Acres is a Beauty!
We needed a few days, not far away, to spend some time grieving our dog, Peace, who had passed away the week before. Windswept Acres was the perfect balm for our sad spirits. Having electric and potable water hookups made everything that much easier. Doc and Sarah were wonderful and kind. It is a glorious location overlooking the pond, fields and mountains and the weather was just right. We sat by the pond by day and the fire by night (wood provided by Doc, thank. you) and came home more centered. We can't thank you enough Doc and Sarah...We look forward to many stays at Windswept Acres.

Paradise
We stayed here because of the reviews calling it “the best place I’ve ever camped”, and I have to say that I agree. The farm was beautiful and immaculately maintained and Sarah and Doc were fantastic hosts. My husband and I kept saying we were in paradise, and the kids loved it just as much as we did. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful, relaxing stay
Despite some rain, we had a very lovely 2 night stay. The property is absolutely beautiful and it's obvious how hard Doc works to maintain the land. We camped in our 25' RV and used their 30amp power which worked perfectly. They also provided a water hook up, but we didn't need it. We asked for a late check out and Doc was very nice about it. This is a beautiful, relaxing property and we hope to return.

Another great visit
This is our second visit to Windswept Acres. Sarah and Doc are great hosts, taking great care in offering a nice set-up for their camper guests. The property is spectacular with sunrise to sunset views over rolling hills. The town is extremely quiet, so you have to travel to find things to do. We did have a great stay with day trips to Stowe, Sugarbush, and Burlington/Lake Champlain.

Perfect
We loved Windswept Acres. The camping area is very well set up and comfortable. The views are amazing and Doc and Sarah are very welcoming. Unfortunately, our time was cut short due to the nasty weather that blew in, but we will return for sure. Do yourselves a favor and book a night or more here.

Truly Magical Property
My husband, our three kids and our in-laws stayed at Windswept Acres for two nights. It was a really wonderful experience and exceeded all of our expectations. I’ll miss the gorgeous sunrise, peaceful atmosphere, swimming pond and surrounding farmland. Watching my kids run around the property and just take in the atmosphere was a gift. Also, Wesley the dog was an absolute doll.

5 star gem!
I really don't want to give a spectacular review because i don't want the whole world to find out about this wonderful place or else it will get too difficult to get a reservation:-) We just had the best time, its an amazing experience but the star of the show is Wesley... a most beautiful sweet puppy who can change your mood on the spot... pretty sure we are not the only ones willing to risk incarceration in exchange for secretly luring him into our car and take home :-)

Magical place to camp, way beyond my expectations. Even though it was cloudy and raining while we were there the stars came out for a bit and lit up the sky. I can only imagine what it would look like on a clear night. Highly recommend this site.
