Green Mountain Garden Bed

Overall site number 2 was fine and level enough for our large tent. Loved the habitat restoration area, berry patch, and apple trees. Our neighbor campers were obnoxious, playing music on a large PA style speaker with flashing colored lights. They also built their own firepit, which was clearly stated as against the hosts rules. Annoying, but not the host's fault. The composting outhouse was a bit gross. I've lived with outhouses for a long time, so I'm not just simply being squeemish. It was very full, and the divided liquid waste receptacle half of the toilet was full of solid waste and used TP. Who ever invented the divider was not thinking of users with dangly bits. I also went in at night after the little solar light had stopped working and I didn't bring my headlamp. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to get out of the outhouse. My fault. Bring a headlamp at night. Overall, it's a nice spot. Would have loved to see the host enforcing the rules or tending to the outhouse. All-in-all, I would stay there again.

Really nice camping spot with grassed sites, a great communal fire pit, and a nice orchard. They were great with directions were very kind. The composting toilet was very cool and private, set back from the camp sites.

Sign me up for the Ashley’s Land Fan Club. As easy as it gets. Direct access, lovely landscaping, peaceful vibe, grassy sites, cozy outhouse, nice price. All I ever needed in a campsite. Would I visit again? No hesitation.

We enjoyed the peaceful setting and gardens! The sloped site does make finding a level spot tricky. We had a roof top tent and with some blocking to level the vehicle we made it work. Being a short drive to the Kingdom Trails was great!

We had a great time staying at Ashley's camp site over the weekend! It's a pretty spot and great location close to Willoughby and Kingdom trails. There was nobody staying at site 2 so Ashely said it would be fine to use that site instead of site 3 which we were very thankful for. Site three is quite sloped (too much for tents) and right next to the toilet which is nice and clean but it wouldn't have felt very private. In the future we'd definitely come back to stay at site 2 or site 1 but not site 3.

This was a beautiful, quiet stop for us on our way through Vermont! So glad we found it. Super accessible to a nearby town (Green Mountain Books & Prints is a super cute used and new bookstore. ) and Lake Willoughby. We also made a trip to Bread & Puppet Theater museum! We ended up booking another night!

Great campsite, I stayed on a weekday so I had the whole place by myself. The signage and instructions were clear, the compost toilet was quite nice. The sites are a little uneven but with leveling blocks it's fine in an rv. 10/10 would stay again.

Loved our stay here! Great fire pit area and the dry blocks were a lifesaver. Our favorite part was Ashley’s dad. He gave us a great tour of his restoration project on the beaver ponds that were wiped out by this spring flood. Best of luck with the gardens and ponds ! Thanks -Liv & Liam

Nice site this was our second time here, truly enjoyable. The only wrinkle we had was the limitation of only two cars per site with our team coming from different directions that caused us to re-think our plans for the future. Ashley was super responsive and helpful. If we return with only two cars we will certainly be back!

What a beautiful place. So peaceful, exactly what we needed. My wife and I both work in horticulture so appreciated all the fruit and nut trees, and the native plantings. The site we got was definitely the most ideal for a flat tent spot of the three. Would definitely visit again.

Absolutely beautiful property! Very easy to find (well marked signs) and close to the trails at Kingdom Trails. The outhouse was surprisingly nice. There’s a nice common area with corn hole, fire pit, and nice chairs. 10/10 would recommend!

Great location, easy to find, lovely meadow for camping! We found 2 flat areas for tents, and it is quite a spacious site centrally located between the composting toilet and community fire ring. Please note, though that there isn't potable water. The water available is rainwater collected from the outhouse roof, so make sure you filter it or boil it before drinking.

Beautiful spot of the night! Lovely wildflowers and gorgeous landscapes. Close to Lake Willoughby, NEK mountain bike trails and so much more! Had the place to ourselves. Sites are close but far enough. Community fire pit area a neat, would recommend coming as a group.

Quiet place in a great location near Lake Willoughby and Burke VT! Was easy to find & well marked. The entire property is on a bit of a slope, S2 definitely being the flattest. If tent camping - S2 might be your best option!

Awesome simple campsite. Perfect for my friends and I (group of 3) on our bikepacking trip. Excellent composting toilet. S3 where we were wasn't the flattest but the other sites looked like they may have been flatter - something to consider if you're tent camping. Highly recommend!
