Absolutely loved camping here at Peck farm! Stunning views and great place for a tent that stays out of the sun until about noon. Dan the owner stopped by to check on us and was so friendly and accommodating! It was lovely to fall asleep to the frogs singing in the ponds. There was a porcupine that came by to say hello but left quickly once he realized we had a dog. I would recommend you have your dog under voice control or on a leash. The pond did not seem ideal for swimming if that matters to you. I would highly recommend this campsite! Only about 15-20 minutes to Montpelier if you forget any supplies like we did 😂

I camped one night here when I was passing through. It was easy to find and once at the campsite it has a ton more privacy than I expected for being a big open space on an orchard. I wish I could have stayed longer to visit the corn maze. Thanks for the apples!

Dan's campsite is secluded, peaceful, serene and comfortable. Easy to find, nice to drive straight to the site which is way off the beaten path, pond is beautiful and the frogs honking were a lovely music to fall asleep to. Can be quite buggy and warm depending on the time of the day (typical Vermont) so be sure to bring some bug spray and a tent fan. Thanks for hosting us!

This was my first solo camping trip & first Hipcamp experience. I could not have chosen a more perfect location for both than Dan’s campsite at Peck Farm Orchards. The site was exactly as described, easy to find & newly mowed. Vermont in general is beautiful, but East Montpelier in particular is a little slice of heaven - rolling hills with meadows & cows & orchards & woodland. Quintessential Vermont at its most lovely & iconic! And far enough away from Montpelier that you feel off-the-beaten-track, but close enough that you can easily zip into town for coffee or supplies. Dan’s campsite is near a small pond at the bottom of the orchard with delightful views of a shallow valley & nearby fields. There is a farmhouse on the other side of the valley, but it is definitely part of the iconic scenery with its stunning old barn! There is a rural dirt road not too far away so you occasionally hear a truck or tractor, but overall there’s a ton of privacy & quiet. My nighttimes were full of the sound of frogs in the pond, and my campsite was visited by a couple deer in the mornings. Dan was communicative before my arrival & then briefly dropped by the campsite with his young sons to make sure I was comfortable. I didn’t need to contact him during my stay but felt that if I had needed to reach him, I’d easily be able to. I would definitely recommend the campsite at Peck Farm Orchards - and I can imagine it’s even more “Vermonty” in the Fall with the foliage & apples!

This was my first Hipcamp experience & solo camping trip. I could not have chosen any better than the orchard at Peck Farm. The site was newly mowed when I arrived, and everything was true to the description on the Hipcamp app. Vermont in general is beautiful, but East Montpelier is truly a little slice of heaven. Rolling hills, meadows and 100-plus-year-old barns. Dan’s site was easy to find and just the right combination of comfort & off-the-grid feeling. There are a couple rural dirt roads nearby, but almost no traffic. And there are also a couple farmhouses within sight of the campsite, but if you’ve chosen Vermont as a destination, then you know that is a big part of the charm. The location is both remote but intimate. There is a small pond with tons of merrymaking frogs, and cows grazing in a nearby field. I wasn’t visiting during apple picking season, but I imagine that camping at Peck Farm Orchards is even more fun when cider & doughnuts are available! Dan was communicative & stopped by briefly to make sure I was comfortable, but in true Vermont fashion, he was also very respectful of my privacy. If all my future camping experiences with Hipcamp are similar to five days at Peck Farm Orchards, I will indeed be a very happy camper.

The site was great! It was fairly easy to get to, and was a beautiful place. Sadly, it rained so we ended up car camping. Next time I would love to actually make a fire and enjoy the scenery more. It was still lovely!!

The owners were super friendly and the site was perfect, right next to the orchard and a small pond. Very clean and well maintained, plus there’s apple cider and donuts for sale in the morning.

We had such a good time!
The land was beautiful and we loved being able to pick the apples. If you are looking for a calm place to rest- this is it! Dan was so kind and hospitable as well, and we loved chatting with him. We will definitely be back next time we are in Vermont!

We loved camping in the orchard! Dan has an awesome spot in such a gorgeous part of Vermont! The site is large and clear, easy to drive right into, and he and his family were very welcoming. We arrived during live music so we got to enjoy the beautiful Vermont afternoon walking around to the music playing, enjoyed literally the best cider donuts we've ever had, and finished the day around the campfire. It was very fun to have the lively scene when we got there, and in the evening when people had gone it was so quiet and peaceful, and you could hear coyotes in the distance. The dewy morning in the orchard was breathtaking. We'd definitely come back!

The campsite at the bottom of the orchard is absolutely gorgeous!! I will say though that the directions currently saying to turn North and go 200 feet to the campsite. Would have been nice to be told turn right then go 200 feet to the campsite,as I don't know my north from my south in the dark from a hat on the wall. But that is the only thing I would change as the view In The Morning was spectacular

The site was gorgeous and the host was amazing. He showed us around, taught us about apples, and went above and beyond for us. Not to mention, waking up Monday to the best apple cider donuts and hot cider we’ve had to date. We can’t wait to go back already!

I came in by bike from the Green Mountain Gravel Growler route and it was pouring rain. Dan was incredibly kind and upgraded me to the Orchard House at no extra cost so I could have a dry night. What a luxury! He brought me a big jug of drinking water and I had everything I needed. Beautiful sunset (and rainbow) over the orchard. Thanks Dan!

We loved camping on Dan’s land. We ate delicious apples, listened to ducks swimming by, and howled at coyotes during the night. It was such a beautiful spot. Dan even came out when we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed!

Peck Farm is a beautiful setting for camping. Would love to come back in the fall. Last minute booking and everything was ready to go. Camp site was freshly mowed and easy to get to.
Never looked for the toilets, not sure where they were located.
Cell coverage worked for text and calls. Couldn’t do much else which was fine, didn’t need it.

Very picturesque views of the countryside, wonderful pond on a warm sunny day! Tucked away on the backside of an apple orchard and pumpkin farm. Ran into the owner Dan who was very friendly and gave us a tip on a local co-op for food in Adamant which had amazing dinner options! Would definitely recommend this for a rural experience and welcoming taste of the countryside :-)

You call this a campground? We saw maybe 2 tables. One fire ring. The "restroom" was a very old outhouse with a bench and 2 holes. No one was there, no one came to help us. We tried the phone number and couldn't get through. There were no signs to help us find the place. We found it by following instructions emailed to us but they were very unclear. We did not stay and we would like our money back.
