Winter affords a pristine, beautiful, snowy landscape that is straight out of a Robert Frost poem! Winter activities include snowshoeing, winter hiking, and possibly snowmobiling down the local club maintained trail if open. Be advised to come prepared with good tires as we get SERIOUS winters and our remote, mountain location often requires 4wd to get up the TOWN roads to us, much less the farm roads. Our ancestor Ebenezer Cole, settled in our little corner of Lebanon, NH., in 1847. Eight generations of our family have lived, and farmed here since. Although once almost totally cleared for crops and grazing, most of our land is now devoted to forestry, but some land remains open and devoted to forage crops. We also have a modern hillside maple orchard. Although we no longer actively farm full time, the stewardship of our farm is of upmost importance to our family. This is the private campsite we developed on our farm several years ago for when my wife and I need a little getaway, but don't have the time to travel. Shaded Brookside Glen is a level, mowed lawn surrounded by mature trees and bushes. Dry camping only, but a nice composting outhouse is easily available nearby. Water is available from the year round trout stream, but drinking water must be carried in. Shaded Brookside Glen has a picnic table, a metal fire pit, and limited fire wood is supplied. The drive to the site is across a grassy, mowed, well drained field, but can be effected by long periods of rain.

My land is easily accessible by main road, has ample parking, and yet cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, wildlife, fireflies and peepers are just outside the door. In the summer season, several organic farmstands and local picturesque swimming holes range between 5-15 minutes away. Autumn's glorious show is on display everywhere you look. Winter offers easy access to groomed VAST trails in the field behind the house and studio. Hopkins Center, AVA Gallery, the Lebanon Opera House, Northern Stage, and a wide array of restaurants are within 20 minutes. The Lyme bridge is now open, so there are more restaurants, trails, activities and the Dartmouth Skiway! Despite the proximity to town and even to my home, the simple studio space is serene in its sumac baby forest. The space is one of a kind, with a giant salvaged chapel window, cathedral ceilings, a candelabra, a clawfoot tub, a quirky outhouse, on-demand hot water, electricity and wifi. The site lists that it sleeps 4? But three is more realistic, and I cannot seem to change it. We are at the top of Raccoon Hill. Overlooking a valley with Punch Brook at the bottom. You can see Belknap Mountain across the way. There are many trails nearby. The state snowmobile trails run nearby with access at the power lines that cross Raccoon Hill, Great for hiking, biking in the summer. And snowmobiling in the winter. State rail trail is nearby also (bottom of Raccoon Hill and rt 11) Giving access to the entire state! Highland Lake is a few miles away. Webster Lake is a bit further down the road. Fishing ponds are all over the area. Ragged mountain is 20 minutes from here. The mountain biking park in Northfield is about 20 minutes away. Black Bear Vineyard is a few miles away. Enjoy our 73 acres in peace. Our site has a well you can use to fill up your tanks, we recommend using an in-line filter as the water is not tested. We recommend using it for showers and toilets. 2 50amp hook ups. And septic hook ups.

The space was full of unique charm and was incredibly comfortable - everything we needed was supplied and more. The view and sound of the waterfall from the deck and windows can't really be matched. I can't say enough about how great our stay was, I only wish it had been longer!

We had a great time at Doc’s crossing! The set up is great- has a fire pit, tent platform and picnic table by the brook and a clean and spacious outhouse and flat area for a larger pop-up or camper. We brought our dog who had a blast playing in the water and running around in the grass. I also set up a hammock where I could relax and listen to the bubbling brook. So peaceful! Thank you so much for sharing your space with us, and we hope to be back soon! :)

I was in the lower site. This is good for an over night stay. There are two tent platform sites and a fire pit. You will hear road noise, but not bad during the evening hours. There is no outhouse at this camp set up.

Steve has done a great job creating a great camping spot on his land. Your privacy is guaranteed and it has everything for a comfortable and enjoyable camping experience. There is a raided platform for a tent or a long grass driveway for your truck and camper. He provides wood, fire pit and an out door toilet. This place was so perfect that after I booked the site for 3 days, I went back online and decided to stay an additional 3 more days. Would highly recommend!!!

Forrest’s camp is well managed and very clean. You can buy firewood at the site. The outhouse is clean and well site up. Has clear directions for the outhouse.

Beautiful site with well maintained amenities. Very private! There is some road noise but that was probably because my tent was on my truck in the parking spot. Pretty sure if it was on the tent platform it wouldn't have been noticeable.

GORGEOUS campsite right by the brook. Loved hearing the water. Bathhouse was super swanky and clean with hot water, and Jeff and Jill were amazing hosts and wonderful people, with great suggestions for what to do and eat in the area. Would come back.

Very calm and peaceful. Lovely view of the mountains during sunrise from the balcony, Josh is extremely hospitable and accommodating I was traveling alone and he made sure I felt safe and comfortable there the entire trip. A wonderful place for family couples are even just a solo trip to get out of your hometown. The farm cat were so cute and so friendly. As well as the farm dog. Many pollinating flowers with buzzing bees, nearby bugs, and birds will ease you to rest at night.

1 night at Stonewall Meadows Farm

David met us when we arrived, and brought some split firewood, and water for my dog. You will be all alone here. Except for an occasional small airplane, there is almost no human noise. . There is no road noise, or other people, it is peaceful and isolated. Skyland Trail passes right by the field, for some nice day hikes. I had a very clear night and the best view of the milkyway I can remember, and many shooting stars while I sat by the fire.
