A former farm now a 150 acre forested retreat. Mt Ascutney, a 3500' monadnock is to the north and view in excess of 60 miles to the south. We are dog friendly but request ALL dogs be on leash when near our house. We have chickens that are some times loose. If your dog should kill or injure one of the chickens plan on a discussion of the value of a pullet. Phone numbers on the wall of the cabin Curl up in front of the fire and relax. Note that we do not charge a cleaning fee like some sites. We appreciate our guest leaving the camp as found. So far so good! Camp has the following: LP 2 burner cook top, pots and pans, dishes, flat ware, some spices and such. Fresh clean water will be at the camp when you arrive. The furnished jugs have been cleaned. If you still wish to bring your own drinking water please do so in reusable jugs. We are trying to limit plastic use. NOTE: Using GPS, Google map, or other device our address may come up as Perkinsville, Ascutney, or even Springfield even though the town is Weathersfield. Check the map and just confirm that Center Grove Rd is shown or called out as off of Weathersfield Center Rd. Firewood for the outside fire pit is available under extras. However if it has rained or raining you may want to bring kindling wood. We now have slab wood for sale if you do not want to rummage for wood in the forest PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN KINDLING WOOD FOR THE STOVE. Chunk wood is furnished for the inside stove. Sweet Song Acres is 100+ acres of secluded forest nestled along the Little Sugar River, at the base of Perry Mountain. Located in rural Unity, NH and Charlestown, NH, just across the Vermont state line. Southernmost point, located in Charlestown is one of two campsites. The other is Shady Grove, located in Unity. The two sites, located in bordering towns share the same entrance and are connected by a 1/4 mile trail. Both are very large sites. Campers would drive to both sites down a trail so we highly recommend a vehicle with decent clearance and 4WD or AWD. Southernmost Point is a fully drive-in site. Shady Grove campers park above the site and the campsite is down a short path, just a few hundred feet or so. The property consists of varied terrain of rock ledges, lush moss, streams, and panoramic views at the summit. There are many options of local outdoor activities in the area or if you prefer, just sit and "listen to the river sing sweet songs to rock your soul".

Looking for a warm and cozy space? Our 12acres are beautifully wooded with our pond as the central point of interest. Camping with a trailer is a fun experience. The communal pavilion has picnic table/benches, propane grill, shared refrigerators, pans, utensils, and dishwashing area and string lights. Please expect some vintage aspects, such as door handles, screens, windows, that function according to their age. These are not new modern trailers and we think that adds to the appeal! However they are clean and cozy! Your trailer is down by the pond, the wildlife clay bottom is spring fed, swimming is allowed during daylight hours only and it is "Swim at your own Risk". Please read the house rules regarding rinsing off and refraining from getting suntan oil etc. in the pond. We usually have wood on site for sale, advance request is much appreciated and please pay upon arrival with cash, $15 per ample bundle and $15 for a bag of charcoal. We do not deliver after 6pm so please order in advance. PLEASE NOTE- you do not have our property to yourselves. We live onsite and on any given night, both trailers can be rented. The cook station, picnic table/benches under the pavilion and composting toilet are communally used. IMPORTANT-PLEASE PLAN TO CHECK IN BETWEEN 4 and 6:30 pm as this is not a location where we can accommodate arrivals after dark. After checking in, you can head back out for dinner, we are a mere 5 miles from Quechee. We have PYO Blueberries and a farm stand open from mid July to August. We sell organically grown blueberries and produce locally. Learn more about this land: Our private Sugar Shack is at the end of our blueberry fields and faces the forest. We have a 3 mile round trip hike to Harlow Brook with a map. We are on the edge of a wildlife corridor and often see deer, coyotes, fox, waterfowl, songbirds and the occasional bear. (Keep food in your car at night so that the bear does not eat it!) We are above the Ottauquechee River at North Hartland Lake. We have rentable canoes and a kayak. We can transport you to and pick you up for a canoe trip on the Connecticut River or to North Hartland Lake.. We are located two miles from Quechee, 7 miles from historic Woodstock to the west, and 7 miles to hip White River Junction to the east and 8 1/2 miles to Dartmouth College and the Appalachian Trail. There are fun casual restaurants with some sit down and take-out nearby and our local Jakes Market can provide you with a nice selection of groceries. Hot Air Balloon pilots often take off and land in our fields and it is always a magical site. We can connect you with local pilots if you wish to purchase a Balloon Adventure.

Shaded Brookside Glen is a level, mowed lawn surrounded by mature trees and bushes. Dry camping only, but a nice composting outhouse is easily available nearby. Water is available from the year round trout stream, but drinking water must be carried in. Shaded Brookside Glen has a picnic table, a metal fire pit, and limited fire wood is supplied. The drive to the site is across a grassy, mowed, well drained field, but can be effected by long periods of rain.

We had a great time at Doc’s crossing! The set up is great- has a fire pit, tent platform and picnic table by the brook and a clean and spacious outhouse and flat area for a larger pop-up or camper. We brought our dog who had a blast playing in the water and running around in the grass. I also set up a hammock where I could relax and listen to the bubbling brook. So peaceful! Thank you so much for sharing your space with us, and we hope to be back soon! :)

loved my time at the coop :) Andrea and her kiddos were very welcoming & helpful. gave me a rundown of utilities & tour of the space upon arrival! spotted two cutie outdoor cats who were so sweet. property is so beautiful, i couldn’t stay overnight because of a little emergency unfortunately. Andrea was super kind to refund me 50%- I hope to visit soon again!

This site was lovely! Very private, surrounded by trees. Bed was comfortable and site had everything we needed. There is no signage/address posted where you are supposed to turn into the driveway, so that made our arrival a little confusing. We stayed on 2 weeknights- both nights there was a lot of loud motorcycle activity in the area that woke us up (site is close to small town area). Otherwise a great place to stay. Cait was a responsive and helpful host.

Steve has done a great job creating a great camping spot on his land. Your privacy is guaranteed and it has everything for a comfortable and enjoyable camping experience. There is a raided platform for a tent or a long grass driveway for your truck and camper. He provides wood, fire pit and an out door toilet. This place was so perfect that after I booked the site for 3 days, I went back online and decided to stay an additional 3 more days. Would highly recommend!!!

Peters land was beautiful and a very fair price! There was not much shade on site 3 until later in the evening time so I highly recommend bringing a pop up or canopy. The stream was nice to refresh in. There was a picnic table and charcoal grill on site that we cooked up a delicious steak on (check out Brownsville Butcher & Pantry)! One Portapotty for the bathroom that we drove to and was well taken care of. The Villager about 10min away had amazing ice cream and a wide selection of food from seafood to burgers and tacos. Reading Greenhouse Florist & Farmer Market is another must about 4min up the road! Great visibility for the pets off leash! Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would go again!

Beautiful site with well maintained amenities. Very private! There is some road noise but that was probably because my tent was on my truck in the parking spot. Pretty sure if it was on the tent platform it wouldn't have been noticeable.

Shady Grove got a face-lift! This is the upper area. We expanded the parking area in the summer of 2024 to accommodate more vehicles, car camping, and small, off road type campers, vans, etc.
