Sacred Nectar rests on the land of the Wabanaki Tribes. This land, now known by it's view gifting fields, is one of Sandwich's top treasured gems. The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose.
Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. Nick and his tribe of like minds are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. This property overlooking the beautiful Connecticut river (no access to) has two cabins to choose from, one sleeps two people (full size bed) and the other can accommodate three, 1 queen bed and a twin bed)
The property is such a peaceful spot!
We have a rustic outhouse, and showers can be taken in the main farmhouse on the property if you would like, available every weekday from 8am to 9am.
Night showers possible as well, just ask!
Both cabins have a fridge, and microwave and coffee maker to enjoy.
We sell firewood to sit around a cozy campfire at night and stargaze! You can even purchase a S'mores package as well!
Enjoy a cup of coffee in the mornings and listen to the birds. Bottled water is included as well and placed in your fridge upon arrival. Potable water also easily accessible.
We will do our best to make you feel at home away from home. In a way that is never intrusive, we respect your privacy. Come and unwind with nature all around you.
We are very pet friendly! And ask that all dogs are on a leash while outside. Also, pets are not to be left in the cabins unattended at any time.
So, with all that said get yourself and your pets here and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on your deck looking out to
the river. Don't set an alarm, the loons or geese may wake you first!

Dotted around the barn and sprawling wildflower meadow are two small orchards, an ever-expanding vegetable garden, berry patches, chickens, and a newly renovated off-grid cabin.
Centrally located between Interstates 91 and 93 in quaint Warren, NH, we are within walking distance of two restaurants, an ice cream stand, a well-stocked hardware store/convenience store, a local baseball field and playground, and the town common, where you can drop in on various community gatherings year-round.
A short drive will bring you to a plethora of rivers, lakes, ponds, and trailheads. If off-road motorsports are your thing, our back gate opens directly onto one of the largest ATV/snowmobile trail systems in the state.
Despite all of those nearby amenities, Scrump Acres has a bustling array of wildlife and a quiet, rural feel. With our many crabapple trees and winterberry bushes lining the meadow, Scrump Acres provides a robust winter food source for rare migratory birds.
On summer nights, the meadow is ablaze with thousands of fireflies set to a chorus of peepers. It's not uncommon to see a great blue heron or a bald eagle at the pond next door, which also serves as a pit stop for flocks of Canada geese during the spring and fall.
If you wander the property, you'll likely see us puttering around and tending to our many projects. If you're curious, ask what we're up to, and maybe you'll get roped into making pickles or pressing cider from our fruit trees!

Dancing Bear Farm is a working farm with silvopastured chickens, turkeys, goats, and horses. Campsites are at the edge of the hayfields overlooking a view of Mt. Ascutney and Mt. Sunapee and excellent sunrises!
During your stay you are welcome to visit the animals, explore the forested trails, and walk up to the pond. There is a shared campfire and pavilion that guests are welcome to use, as well as a restroom with flush toilet and handwashing sink close to the campsites. Firewood is provided though we also have higher quality firewood bundles available to purchase.
We can also offer a customized farm experience for an additional cost! Hike with the goats, harvest in the garden, or meet the baby animals! Traveling with kids? We can offer a private kids farm class while the grownups head off for their own adventures.
We sometimes host educational workshops on site, including in the pavilion. When you book we will let you know if your stay coincides with an educational program. Guests are welcome to join in with a 15% discount to any of our public workshops!
The property is secluded and peaceful, though sometimes on Friday nights we can hear the race cars at the Claremont Motorsports Park.

Beautiful, DRY {No running water}, no electricity cabin. Called "Unplugged" for several reasons: No electricity, No internet and most phones don't work! Bring books! 16 x 20 with a loft with stairs. Queen bed in loft and daybed downstairs. Has an outhouse. Stocked with basics for cooking on flat grill and new 2 burner camp stove.
Cabin is well insulated, uses a Big Buddy heater for heat in winter .Bring water in gallon size, refill at house.The rain barrel is only for water for fire pit! Not drinkable!! You fill the black bucket and put it near fire pit while having a camp fire. New solar lights installed, really brightens up cabin! Bring sleeping bags or use linen in bag.

It could seem difficult to pull yourself away, but the luxuriously appointed queen bed is sure to beckon you for a restful night…keep the many screened windows open!

I loved staying on Jon’s property. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The cabin had a comfy bed and plenty of room to spread out. After an unexpected event forced me to arrive a day later than expected Jon graciously offered me the cabin for an additional night at no charge. He told me about all the trails on the property and brought me some fresh eggs. I didn’t leave the property and just explored with a couple mile walk. My dog loved being free to explore and chase Jon’s dogs. It was the perfect couple of days away to unwind before going back to school.

Okay, where to even start? By far the COOLEST place I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying. The escape room aspect kept us entertained for hours even though we couldn’t figure out the last clue it was a blast, This place is magical in every way. The cabin was lovely and secluded, with every amenity you could possibly need for a glamping getaway. Jon was an amazing host, gave us farm fresh eggs and tomatoes from his garden, and even invited us down for a cup of coffee one morning. Jessica was a fantastic host, and her place was great. We stayed in the smaller cabin with our dog, and had just the right amount of space, and enough creature comforts to elevate our camping experience over our typical tenting outings. Jessica was very helpful with suggestions of things to do locally, and we also enjoyed just sitting on the porch reading and watching the eagles.

Scrump Acres is amazing! Rachel and Justin are impeccable, thoughtful hosts, and the cabin is truly lovely and one-of-a-kind. Bonus points for walkable ice-cream joint! We had a great stay, the cabin is historical and comfortable. Jon gave us a brief tour and some lore about the land; the cabin is located a little ways past his home on a dirt road which was once a major route. He provided a metal detector that we used to uncover an old bucket and some nails along the road. Lots of old metal to be found which we did not know we would enjoy so much. Thanks again Jon! 🤘🤘

We loved this place. Exactly what we wanted for a wooded weekend with our dogs. The cabin is lovely, well sized and very nicely decored. In particular, we loved the screened in deck with the absurdly comfortable hanging chair. Lorraine was an excellent host.

Fantastic getaway spot! A private, peaceful, and perfect place to unplug for a few days. The location was beautiful with great hiking trails nearby! The host, Jon, was very welcoming and incredibly responsive to questions. There is great cell service here (Verizon), a fire pit with chairs, camp stove, king sized bed, a speaker !!, pots, pans & utensils. Many games and books to play/read. Lots of outdoor equipment! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway! I will absolutely be coming back!!

Enjoyed a peaceful stay at Wapack Trail Cabin. The cabin was clean and had everything I needed. I took a weekend getaway with my two dogs - needed to get away from the day to day AND this place was perfect. Jon was very nice and friendly, explained the amenities, the trails, weekend local activities and gave me fresh eggs from his chickens. My visit was mid-July and the temps were very comfortable, I wasn’t swarmed by bugs, most of the cabin windows have screens and the cabin has a portable fan for additional comfort. I’m just an hour away and look forward to more visits.
