Staying in this cabin tucked away in the woods was simply magical! A peaceful retreat surrounded by trees, fresh air, and a surreal atmosphere. We spent beautiful days as a family — grilling outdoors, enjoying the warmth of a campfire at night, and taking in breathtaking views. 🌲🔥 The girls loved exploring every corner, and we loved slowing down and enjoying each little moment. The hospitality was incredible — we were warmly welcomed and felt taken care of from the very beginning. Every detail of the cabin had a special charm and made us feel at home, even in the middle of nature. It’s the kind of place that recharges your soul and brings your family closer together. We loved everything about the cabin. The drive in, the beautiful grounds, the darling cabin, which was easy to find and was priced just right. The cabin was cozy, nice, relatively new, clean and warm. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean and the hosts were very kind. Loved the firepit and the fireflies too! 2 nights at Earth Paradise Eco-Retreat

I was the first person to stay in the cabin, but the experience was nothing like a rookie set up. The host was incredible, super helpful and sweet! The cabin was gorgeous, recently redone with cedar. The set up was like all inclusive and rustic in the best way. I truly got to unwind and disconnect to reconnect. This is a paradise. I took a short hike to a private lake area and swimming there was a genuinely spiritual experience. There’s plenty of wooded area to explore as well. I didn’t take advantage if any of the extras available, but I am curious about the tours! All in all I will be recommending this place to others like me who are craving a retreat from the modern world and all its noises, speed, and business.

I absolutely loved our stay at the coyote cabin!! Horses everywhere you look, cool walking trails behind the cabins. Cheryle offered fresh eggs, free firewood, and great conversations. Her Dog Tank is an absolute cutie, plus the farm animals she lets you take a look at whenever you want was the best! There was everything you needed to camp in the cabin or under the gazebo, from foil to cooking equipment. We will definitely come back again!❤️

Jessica was a wonderful host and was very friendly. My husband and I loved the week we spent in the smaller cabin. The location was perfect very close to the Ammonoosuc Rail Trail in Woodsville and the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail in St.Johnsbury.

1 night at Burke Line Farm

The camping area was absolutely peaceful and oh so quiet - except for the robins as they beautifully sang the sun down at the end of the day! The cabin was rustic and the cots comfortable and there were windows that could be opened for room ventilation. Wood for the campfire was available right next to the cabin, and kindling was also provided! The outhouse was conveniently located and not stinky. We were in the area to bike at the Kingdom Trails - which were really quite close. For people who have spider fears it's worth mentioning that both the outhouse and the cabin have a few spider residents. They posed no problems for us as they seemed to stay in their chosen corners! We would highly recommend this hip camp and definitely hope to be able to stay there again.

Had an awesome stay at the Pine Cone Cabin. The land was perfect for a short weekend trip with some friends. The cabin was very convenient and comfortable. Fire pit was awesome! Would definitely go again.

This place is just wow, nothing but good things to say about the experience! The little cabins are just right, super clean, 3 working windows with good ventilation. The horses (quite friendly and well socialized) are right there which is surreal and a big highlight. All the dry, and I mean dry, firewood you could want, super stocked covered communal kitchen area was a great hangout spot in the rain. Bathrooms very clean as well. Wifi beats my home service. Wasn’t sure about staying in place without showers, but the river dips turned out to be a great part of our mountain bike trip. The owners crushed it here, thanks to them for sharing the land, it felt like a privilege, and we’ll for sure be back.

3 nights at MalloRied Sugarwoods Cabin

This sweet little cabin was exactly what we needed to get out into the woods despite a ton of rain. We stayed dry and cozy and still got to unplug and unwind and enjoy nature. The cabin is fully stocked very clean and very comfortable. We were even able to have a couple campfires since there is a large covered dry wood pile. Road in is steep and tricky but no problem for our full size 4x4 pickup truck. Darren was the perfect host with tons of great recommendations and super communicative. Quick to respond to any questions we had. The cabin and site were spotless when we arrived and so peaceful. Lots to do in the area!

Beautiful, clean, peaceful little cabin to enjoy! We would gladly return anytime we are in the area. The eggs (worth the additional cost) were the best eggs I've ever had. The farm animals were a fun treat and Jessica was a super awesome host! This is what Hipcamp is all about!

We loved this little unplugged cabin in the woods! Lorraine is a wonderful host and was so kind and caring. The cabin has literally everything you need which was amazing. We will definitely be back!

Host is a seasoned and high-rated host, and this is their summer residence, which is offered for very limited number of nights per season. UPDATE: only four overnights are left available for the 2025 season, select your preferred date span from late June through the end of September. First come, first served ... the three holiday weekends for 2025 season have already been booked: Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day. Yet keep us in mind for next year. GUEST STAYS: Minimum age of person booking a guest stay is 25 years of age. The base rate is for one person, with modest upcharge for a second person. Due to the set-up of both the cottage and its furnishings plus the ROW for lake access, we cannot accommodate children under 14 nor pets. Guests are expected to be able to at least tread water or actually swim, so boating and fishing etc. here at the lake is at one's own risk, just as it is for us residents. State regulations require wearing a personal flotation vest whenever boating. The cottage has its many charms, yet also some limitations: (1) due to this tiny parcel (50 ft square) parking for only vehicle (truck, van, car) - no room for RVs or any trailer; (2) As with many waterfront properties, the cottage is on a septic HOLDING tank, not a full septic system, so everyone has to be conservative with water usage (shorter showers, ganging toilet flushing, tossing dishwater off the back porch); (3); Host's internet access is a limited data plan, which does not allow hours and hours of streaming content on a daily basis; (4) Host has a right-of-way down to the lake (with dock, chair, kayaks, rowboat etc.), so everyone needs to stay within the drive-lane width ROW. There is a beautiful hike to a mountain lookout view of an amazing panoramic of lakes and mountains including Mt Washington and Pleasant Ski mountain. From 5 Kezars rd turn right onto Kezars Ridge Drive, the last camp road before the pavement ends.) At 0.6 miles keep right onto 5 Kezar Ponds Road. Look for a GLLT sign on the right. This is the Mountain Trail. There is a second access 0.5 miles farther west on 5 Kezar Ponds Road for Ron’s Loop. Here is a link for all Lovell Land trust trails: https://www.gllt.org/five-kezars-reserve 2 Local waterfalls only 2 miles away. Drive back out to 5 Kezars road. Take a right on the paved road. It will turn back into dirt. Keep on this road until you see a beautiful stone house on your left. Keep going just up the hill and you will see a right turn into the woods where you can park. There are no signs for Kezar gorge. Hike towards the sound of the falls. There is a small cave under the falls you can climb up into if you are a strong swimmer. There is a second set of falls if you hike down the river. A most magical spot for sure. Virginia lake is in the White Mountain National forest and is only 6 miles (n a ten minute drive away) Sometimes you have to hike in a bit to get to the beach. Shallow beach is great for children and dogs. Keewayden Lake Dam is a fun place to swim in a local lake. Only and 8 minute drive Keoka lake has a nice beach with a dock to swim too. !0 minutes Covered Bridge in Bethel Screw Ager falls at Graftons Notch State park 45 min drive Ski resorts nearby are Sunday River, Mt Abrams and Pleasant Mt

My land is easily accessible by main road, has ample parking, and yet cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, wildlife, fireflies and peepers are just outside the door. In the summer season, several organic farmstands and local picturesque swimming holes range between 5-15 minutes away. Autumn's glorious show is on display everywhere you look. Winter offers easy access to groomed VAST trails in the field behind the house and studio. Hopkins Center, AVA Gallery, the Lebanon Opera House, Northern Stage, and a wide array of restaurants are within 20 minutes. The Lyme bridge is now open, so there are more restaurants, trails, activities and the Dartmouth Skiway! Despite the proximity to town and even to my home, the simple studio space is serene in its sumac baby forest. The space is one of a kind, with a giant salvaged chapel window, cathedral ceilings, a candelabra, a clawfoot tub, a quirky outhouse, on-demand hot water, electricity and wifi.
