We had a fantastic stay in Billy's camper last weekend when we were in the area to bike at Highland. We enjoyed it so much we're going back next week! His property is private with beautiful Mountain View's and the camper was spotless with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. He was an amazing host, even dropping off wood so we could make a fire in the evening. It felt more like a relaxing getaway than staying in a hotel like we usually do, and the camper had plenty of space for several adults to stay comfortably. He isn't kidding that you need four wheel drive to get up the steep driveway - but the views are worth it!

Billy is a great host! He's bought a beautiful plot of land and is developing it himself, and in the mean time has created a few sites for folks of the hipcamp persuasion. We stayed in the camper, it was super comfortable, and Billy was very responsive and helpful to make sure we had a great stay. I'd highly recommend. Only note would be that when you enter the property, it kind of looks like you're driving into a construction site, Billy's driveway goes straight up hill and the address marker is a small plaque on the road. You're in the right place, and if you have trouble finding it just give Billy a call. 10 min from Tilton, Tilt'N Diner is right there, plus a walgreens and anything else you may need. Great spot, we'll be back for sure!

The place was really intimate — we truly felt surrounded by nature in a secluded spot. The area was also well set up, with a campfire, firewood, and cooking accessories.

This is a nice quiet secluded spot. Not having to bring our own wood was a really nice. Billy's is having enough logged going on that I doubt he'll ever run out. You definitely need to have four wheel drive to getup the driveway and through the freshly logged area to get to the campsite. My VW barely made it 100 yard in the driveway, before having to turn back. I think we would more than happy to return to this camp site again.

An amazing remote site that was very private and tranquil. Billy was so accommodating and provided more than enough wood to keep the fire going! Site was so neat and clean! Brought my dogs and they were so happy to run and play around the site and be dogs! Beautiful property, definitely will go again!!!

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend staying in Billy's camper! From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a treat. The camper was spotlessly clean, incredibly cozy, and comfortable.
Billy is an exceptional host - kind, accommodating, and genuinely attentive to our needs. This was our first camper experience, Billy took the time to welcome us personally and give us a thorough tour of all the amenities. His hospitality truly made our stay memorable.
We were searching for the perfect weekend escape that offered both seclusion and stunning natural beauty, and this location delivered exactly that. The views were breathtaking, and the peaceful setting was just what we needed to unwind.
Our dog absolutely loved the stay, especially getting to hang out with Billy's friendly furry co-hosts, Pumpkin and Ranger! It was heartwarming to see them all become fast friends.
The camper itself exceeded our expectations, offering every comfort we could want: a wonderfully warm space on cool nights, a comfortable bed, a cozy fireplace with reclining seats, and a hot shower. Billy checked in with us daily, ensuring we had everything we needed, and was always just minutes away if we required anything.
He provided excellent recommendations for nearby trails and hikes that really enhanced our outdoor adventure.
We honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a perfect blend of comfort and nature!

Great location with plenty of firewood - appreciated the starter shavings. Close to highland but road is rugged. No water or toilet so need to pack it all in and out.

Incredible place, beautiful and secluded site. Make sure you access the road from Knowles Pond, google maps will give you a road from the south that doesn’t exist. Very clean site with a really nice fire ring, picnic table and seating area. Wish we could have stayed longer. I think you might be able to get there without 4-wheel drive but at night we were glad we had it. Billy is awesome and very helpful, and answers right away if you get lost. :)

Great secluded spot if youre not looking to interact or see other campers. One of my dogs can be reactive to other dogs and I was able to let her roam free. Near Highland Mountain Bike Park so you can bring a squad here after a long day.

We loved camping at the Mountain View site! It’s amazing to be able to sit alongside the forest and take in the scenery throughout the day. Because of the dry conditions and gumption, we were able to easily get our non-4wd drive car up to the site. Billy and his daughter checked on us and gave us a bunch of wood that kept us through our two night visit. Highly recommend this site!

We cannot thank Billy enough for letting us stay at his camp site! It was very secluded which allowed our group to disconnect from the outside world! We ran out of kindle at one point, told Billy, and he was there not even 10 min later with a new batch! I would recommend this campsite to anyone and we will 100% be booking this site again :)

10/10 best camping spot. The plot is huuuge and no worries about bothering other people with noise. Billy, the host, is super kind too and helped us a ton throughout the weekend. Only wouldn’t recommend so I can go wherever I want, bahaha. But truly it’s a gem - the nearby stream, lake and views are top tier!

Great site. Very private. Kids loved trekking back and forth from camp to the pond to fish. Plenty of fire wood on hand. Billy was very helpful and assisted us with directions and other popular fishing spots.

Site 2 was awesome, I would totally recommend it for anyone looking for a secluded camping getaway that is also within 15 minutes of a grocery store. The site was well stocked with firewood and kindling. Billy was very responsive and kind. He made our group feel welcome, even checking in on us following a storm. I will most definitely be returning to site 2 soon. Thanks Billy!

Spent a night at the Beaver Pond site and it was lovely. This site was secluded enough where I couldn't hear any major roadways and instead just the frogs and owls. There's also a river that wraps around the site which makes for pleasant white noise at night. It was very well stocked with dry kindling and split pine logs, and even the benches are made from pine. It is clear that the owner as put a lot of time and care into making this a wonderful place to camp. I am definitely going to come back.

I had such a wonderful experience at Deep Woods Hideaway! The land is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, secluded, and the perfect spot to really connect with nature. I also felt the owner Billy was a special soul. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and made sure I had everything I needed. His dogs were just the sweetest companions. I absolutely loved them! They added such a warm, homey feeling to the whole experience. I can’t recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a quiet, authentic getaway hosted by genuinely good people (and pups!).
