The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose.
Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. Nick and his tribe of like minds are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. We are in central NH only an hour from Boston off of I 93, and less than 30 miles away from the famous Lake Winnipesaukee, we are perched on a picturesque dirt road in the beautiful country town of Canterbury New Hampshire.
Whether you are up for just hanging at your campsite, exploring the swamp, picnic in the field overlooking the swamp, visiting the animals, or visiting around town, hiking nearby trials, we are here for your stay!
We have easy-to-access rustic style camping accommodations for all sized parties traveling with tents, travel trailers or small campers.
All of our sites offer potable water, solar shower bags, parking, fire pits, and a picnic table.
Welcome Center! complete with a game section, dry firewood bundles, water, fire starter kits, also, extra supplies for purchase such as drinking water, bug spray and some homemade items, eggs, toiletries and some other items to purchase with cash (honor system) or Venmo or PayPal. Check it out! You don't need to purchase extras online if you'd rather pay here with a cost savings for you :)
Onsite also, is a small library inside the Carraige House, let me know if you need a book. The old greenhouse has extra firewood available for your needs, located between 8 and 9 - also some items for you, to use, rent or purchase.

Common Area-Strickly foot traffic only, this is a space to enjoy the open sky with a table, firepit and a grill for anyone's use. If you don't want to bring a grill and don't want to cook on grates. It is a first come first serve basis. But maybe your neighbors' will all come and cook with you?
Cornhole!! Setup on weekends along the drive and next to the Common Area, find the bags in Welcome Center. The Shelf has many games, please return when not in use.
Once you are confirmed an email is sent offering places around this beautiful town that you may visit at your leisure, including Shaker Village, Canterbury Ale works, Canterbury Woods Golf course, Hackleboro Orchards, our own Canterbury Country Store-1 mile away, Cold Garden Sprits is a new small distillery that is fascinating!
If you need more city life amenities like grocery stores or restaurants, the capitol city of Concord to the south, and the town of Tilton and Laconia to the north, are a breeze to access and are less than 20 minutes away.
Direct bookings and advanced reservations are no problem, and we also try to accommodate last minute bookings whenever we can.

Camp with your group at our private Tree Farm / Conservation / Recreation Area. Established in 2004, we are an 87 acre ATFS certified Tree Farm located in the Blue Hills Range in the Foothills to NH’s White Mountains. Choose from one of four unique sites / outdoor spaces to best fit your camping needs; book a combination to reserve a section of the mountain, or book all four sites for total privacy or for events.
Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. Guests are provided with private access to several miles of multi-use nature trails, multiple scenic lookouts, a three acre PYO blueberry maze, and a dock on our private eight acre pond with available boat rentals.
At the 2WD shared parking area guests are provided with a outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a portable toilet, garden hose for washing, a power strip for charging devices, and a spigot with potable water for filling containers.
Over two decades ago we created our first campsite for the purpose of hosting family and friends. Folks enjoyed camping on the mountain so much they often would choose our farm over traditional campgrounds. Hosting campers became a regular weekend event, and to accommodate more people we created three more sites spread out across the property. In 2020, we came across the Hipcamp app and started offering private reservations to the public. Since, we have been hosting campers on a daily basis and continuously improving our sites / infrastructure / views. We’re excited to see what the next two decades hold; come join us on the mountain!
Things to do on the mountain SPRING-FALL include…
Hiking on several miles of maintained nature trails marked with clear signage for easy day/night navigation. Relaxing/taking in the scenery from several scenic lookouts located on and around the mountain’s summit; combined they provide a 360-degree view spanning from the NH/ME Seacoast to the White Mountains of NH, to the Green Mountains of VT. Fishing, paddling, swimming, or relaxing on our dock. Bird/wildlife watching, berry picking, stargazing and leaf peeping.
This is a place you can easily spend a few days and keep busy!

Harvey’s Hill is a private hilltop campsite with 360° sky views, unbeatable stargazing, and access to our rustic Cantina featuring bathrooms, warm running water, and a basic kitchen. Just 10 minutes off the highway in Epping, NH, it’s the perfect stopover or peaceful escape.
Harvey's Hill has been a beloved part of Epping for generations. In the summer, you might see small planes taking off from the hilltop airstrip or locals walking their dogs up to catch the sunset. In the fall, my aunt Erica makes donuts down in the Milk Room, and in the winter, the hill fills with sledders racing down its snowy slope.
Many celebrations have taken place here over the years, including weddings, reunions, and picnics.
The Cantina is a new addition to the top of the hill. It includes three bathrooms, a kitchen, and electricity. While simple and minimalist, these amenities make the site more comfortable, and we hope they enhance your stay.

Nestled along the scenic Contoocook River—one of only two rivers in the United States that flows north—this peaceful campsite is the perfect spot to relax and explore the outdoors. Enjoy excellent fishing, canoeing, and kayaking, with miles of beautiful river to discover right from camp. there is also an ATV trail that leaves right from the camp, which is an old railroad bed that can also be used for mountain biking. I do have two kayaks and two canoes for rent and firewood can be provided for $10 a day
The area is also a great destination for outdoor adventure, with mountain biking opportunities along the nearby railroad bed and trails leading over Hedgehog Mountain.

This is a 200 year old farm filled with life. There are well groomed areas and other more wild areas. We are on almost 13 acres of land that attracts all forms of natural wildlife. In addition, we have alpacas, pigs, sheep, goats, dogs, a cat and chickens. There is a beaver pond on the lower property.
Each site includes a place to sit and eat (ie. picnic table), fire pit and just breathtaking views. Campers can drive into and park at their site. Each site is separate and private from other sites.

We have a farm store offering a variety of items for sale including eggs, honey, rubs and much more. There is a microwave available to the campers in the farm store as well. Each site will be given a bundle of fire wood on the house, additional wood is for sale. You are welcome to participate in farm work. Coffee (from a local NH roaster), tea, hot chocolate and potable water (from the faucet) will be available daily. We are a farm family with young children so large and rowdy or drinking parties are very heavily discouraged.

This property overlooking the beautiful Connecticut river (no access to) has two cabins to choose from, one sleeps two people (full size bed) and the other can accommodate three, 1 queen bed and a twin bed)
The property is such a peaceful spot!
We have a rustic outhouse, and showers can be taken in the main farmhouse on the property if you would like, available every weekday from 8am to 9am.
Night showers possible as well, just ask!
Both cabins have a fridge, and microwave and coffee maker to enjoy.
We sell firewood to sit around a cozy campfire at night and stargaze! You can even purchase a S'mores package as well!
Enjoy a cup of coffee in the mornings and listen to the birds. Bottled water is included as well and placed in your fridge upon arrival. Potable water also easily accessible.
We will do our best to make you feel at home away from home. In a way that is never intrusive, we respect your privacy. Come and unwind with nature all around you.
We are very pet friendly! And ask that all dogs are on a leash while outside. Also, pets are not to be left in the cabins unattended at any time.
So, with all that said get yourself and your pets here and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on your deck looking out to
the river. Don't set an alarm, the loons or geese may wake you first!

LOVED camping at someday farm! Barbie is a great host and made sure we had enough firewood & water. She alap introduced us to her alpacas, cat, and dog (who are all very cute and friendly!). The welcome shed came in handy when we forgot our fire grate - there was one conveniently available for us to use. We camped at site 10 which was clean and well maintained - It’s tucked back enough from the field to be private and cozy near the swamp where we saw a heron and beavers! The field/common area had a few little sitting zones and cute lights for stargazing. Overall great experience and we will definitely be back!

We had a great short getaway trip at the Brickyard site! We loved Kevins place and Kevin! He was a wonderful host, he was great at communicating and had lots of helpful information to give us. We brought our paddle boards and it was such a convenient place to launch. The river was very peaceful and we even got to see a bald eagles nest. We loved being able to come back to our little corner of camp and we even had some grape tomatoes with our dinner from Kevins garden. It was an absolute delight. Thanks for having us!

My family and I spent three nights at the sunday farm. It was very therapeutic. Being out in nature with no outside noise is just what we were looking for. We loved having coffee with the llamas. Everett, the barn cat was a hit with my granddaughter and her boyfriend. G I jo, the dog was loved by all. Barbie is a wonderful hostess.It was a pleasure to be on her property. The out houses were kept clean. I loved camping somewhere that there were not a lot of other campers. We will definitely be going again sometime.

The location was wonderful with lots of things to keep you busy as you explore the property or some of the nearby options Eben suggested. We did a family trip with younger kids and found it to be a perfect blend between car camping and tent camping. We had the convenience options of car camping with the privacy of tent camping.

Eben was an absolutely fantastic host - a one man army maintaining such a huge property and doing a stellar job. He communicated clearly on what we can expect and gave us clear instructions on how to get to the base camp and how we would then get to our campsite.
I would recommend you take the time to chat with him too. It’ll make you appreciate the property, and his efforts, even more. :)

This was a last minute booking for us and it was absolutely magical! We stayed at site 3 The ridge, It was gorgeous, Eben was so welcoming and gave us clear instructions on everything including a map that shows all the perfectly
marked trails along the mountain. Our site has everything you could think of and more than we knew! Fresh water, cooking untensils, a platform
for our tent, chairs etc Wood and such a well maintained property it was amazing! Highly reccomend! The view also is unbelievable!!!!

Great spot for setting up our tents. Close to hiking in the White Mountains and plenty of good restrants nearby for food. At hot shower at the end of the day and some coffee in the morning made it a great Basecamp.

Okay, where to even start? By far the COOLEST place I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying. The escape room aspect kept us entertained for hours even though we couldn’t figure out the last clue it was a blast, This place is magical in every way. From the fireplace to the outhouse 🤣 The host was so kind and welcoming on top of the picturesque scenery. 10/10 unparalleled out of the universe experience. Thank you!!
