Nestled along the scenic Contoocook River—one of only two rivers in the United States that flows north—this peaceful campsite is the perfect spot to relax and explore the outdoors. Enjoy excellent fishing, canoeing, and kayaking, with miles of beautiful river to discover right from camp. there is also an ATV trail that leaves right from the camp, which is an old railroad bed that can also be used for mountain biking. I do have two kayaks and two canoes for rent and firewood can be provided for $10 a day The area is also a great destination for outdoor adventure, with mountain biking opportunities along the nearby railroad bed and trails leading over Hedgehog Mountain. Please note: RV camping is available in the field camping area only, you must rent one of three sites to have access to a fire pit table and chairs. If you have any questions, please contact me. Our main campsite can accommodate up to a 10-person tent, and we also offer a few smaller riverside sites for a more secluded experience. Larger groups are welcome as well, with plenty of flat field camping available. Feel free to reach out with any questions—we’re happy to help!

The Hemlock site sits high on the riverbank under a large hemlock tree. The site offers awesome sunsets, and a constant breeze. It can accommodate a two-man tent to a 10 person tent the site does share a common area with a common fire pit. It’s just a short walk from where you park your car. Transportation of your gear will be provided included with this site as a Coleman Latern that hangs on a shepherds hook there is also a two person rocking bench the site allows for some of the most beautiful sunsets. Bring your kayaks or your canoe and explore miles of the Contoocook river the North branch River intersects about a half a mile from the site where there is a Sandy area and a swimming hole both rivers are stocked with trout, and there is also bass and pickle for those of you who like the fish. This is a tent only site.

This site is tucked away on the riverbank down a short path from the common area. This site will accept a three man to a six man tent. The site has a nice little view of the river. A propane lantern will be provided which you can hang on the shepherds hook. This site does share a common area and fire pit with a table and four chairs. There is a nice grassy area down by the river for sitting or Fishing. Bring your kayak or canoe and explore miles of the Contoocook river a short distance up the river is the north branch river that flows into the Contoocook both of which are stocked with trout. There are also bass and pickerel also where the North branch meets Contoocook there is a Sandy area alongside a nice pool that is awesome for swimming.

The Brickyard site sits above the contoocook river. It has a flat area, big enough to set up a nine person tent on flat ground with no obstructions, it has chairs a table and a nice fire pit, which allows you to sit at night and look over the river there is a cooking Grate that you can sit in the fire pit, it’s a beautiful location, I do have a single person kayak and a two person canoe, which can be rented firewood can also be provided for an additional cost. this is by far the best site. Everybody always wants this one.

We loved camping at this spot. Plenty of privacy for a quiet weekend away. It was a quick step down to the river for a refreshing swim. Kevin was a great host and was responsive to anything we needed. Will definitely be coming back again!

The Hemlock site
This was my first time using Hipcamp and I have to say it couldn’t have gone a better way than it did. Kevin was an amazing host. He made me feel comfortable and taken care of immediately. Offering recommendations of close my activities, helping us load and unload all of our belongings and making sure all our needs were met. A bonus was how beautiful the location was. Right on the water this site was very private where the tent goes with a view of the water. Spacious area with the fire pit and bathroom were amazing as well! I will be coming back!

The Best Place and Person

The Brickyard site
The view of the river flowing right through the yard. The land scape, the toilet setup and guess what guys, had a wonderful shower that Kevin made right on his property. I give a big shout out to Kevin if you ever stay overnight or night's this is the best place ever. Kevin is a great host and a genuine person all around appreciate him and his land. Take time out to get to know this great gentleman.

The Brickyard site
Kevin was really nice and super communicative. The site was great, well maintained, with a beautiful view of the river. There are also plenty of trees spaced perfectly for hammocks, and nice flat area for a tent. Just over the river there’s also quick access to groceries and places to eat. We only stayed one night, but would for sure go again and explore the area more. Lovely spot, and a great host.

We stayed here for a night and it was a great experience. The Brickyard was a nice spot on the river. Quiet and relaxing plus the location is close to town. I will definitely recommend it.

The Brickyard site
Kevin was very welcoming to us, he showed us around when we got to camp. The site was very well kept. It overlooks the Contoocook River. It's a fairly secluded spot on his property. There was a nice fire pit, table, and plenty of chairs to use. The fire pit was already loaded with kindling and wood, just needed to be lit! Kevin was accommodating to us whenever we needed something. He has canoes and a row boat that can be rented. He helped us launching his rowboat into the river. This river is very calm and easy to paddle. There was already firewood at the site so we didn't have to stress about that. The little bathroom privacy tent was definitely a nice touch! The site gets a lovely view throughout the day. Perfect view of the sunset too. Thank you Kevin for being a great host and accommodating us! We'll certainly be back soon!

The Brickyard site
This was a lovely campsite, very secluded while still being close to town. The host was great! He was responsive and met us when we arrived. The site is right on the water and it’s beautiful. There was plenty of space and very clean. The site had a table and a lot of seating. Also a grill and a nice camp toilet in a pop up privacy tent. Can’t wait to book this site again!
