When we first purchased our property, we were made aware of a young fella needing a spot to set up his yurt. He lived with us for two years before moving along. We had enjoyed having him and his yurt on our land so when he left, It left a virtual and metaphorical hole. A couple years later we had an opportunity to purchase a yurt from an outdoor adventure company and so it began. We improved upon our tenant's idea by adding a proper outhouse and outdoor shower area. The space offered us a quiet haven during hectic times and now we are ready to share that opportunity. Our yurt sits on a quiet and private nook on our 7 acre property. We are right in between Kennebunk and Biddeford so there are quite a number of areas to explore if you make us your home base. It is a lovely 6 mile ride to Goose Rocks Beach or you can spend an afternoon walking around Dock's Square in Kennebunkport. Biddeford is a rapidly rebuilding mill town that has made several high profile food and travel publications for its great dining spots. If you are visiting to get away from the city, we are less than a mile away from the Eastern Trail which connects South Portland to Kittery, ME. Bring a bike or plan a quiet walk. We have a little fire pit so feel free to spend the day here and enjoy the birds. You'll have access to an outdoor heated shower, clean outhouse, a fire ring with chairs, a cold water sink and a kitchen area with mini fridge, hot plate, pans and utensils if you choose to eat in. Clean sheets and towels will be provided for your stay. We are very close to interstate 95 and route 1 so you can find many places to explore. There is a flea market down the road and plenty of antique shops to peruse. We are 6 miles from Goose Rocks Beach in KBPT or 7 miles from Kennebunk Beach. Our area also has an abundance of walking/riding trails including the Eastern Trail which is .6 miles away.

We loved our stay at Dancing Lawn! The seclusion of camping with the comfort of a bed/indoor space away from the rain. Communication and directions were good. The outdoor shower was also a wonderful touch.

The yurt was so comfy and cozy. The bed was made with plenty of warm blankets and quilts to ensure a good night’s sleep. I would definitely recommend staying here if you find yourself in the area.

Amazing Yurt Experience!

Jason and Kelly's Yurt was perfect for our short getaway! It had everything we needed and more, and the space itself felt so secluded and safe, and we were close to everything else we needed. One thing to note is that it does get chilly at night and in the early mornings even with the heater and blankets provided, which is something to keep in mind if you plan to stay later in the winter time. Bringing more layers or reaching out for more blankets is an easy fix, of course!

Wonderful Spot

Dancing Lawn Yurt was perfect for our stay! The yurt was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a nice night. We really appreciated the hot outdoor shower and fire pit and will definitely be staying again if we are in the area!

Fantastic yurt!

This yurt was so special! My wife and I really enjoyed the campground. The firepit, composting toilet, and shower were great. You're not far from the house, but juet far enough to not disturb each other. Jason & Kelly were super responsive and look forward to stopping by again when we are in the area!
