When we first purchased our property, we were made aware of a young fella needing a spot to set up his yurt. He lived with us for two years before moving along. We had enjoyed having him and his yurt on our land so when he left, It left a virtual and metaphorical hole. A couple years later we had an opportunity to purchase a yurt from an outdoor adventure company and so it began. We improved upon our tenant's idea by adding a proper outhouse and outdoor shower area. The space offered us a quiet haven during hectic times and now we are ready to share that opportunity. Our yurt sits on a quiet and private nook on our 7 acre property. We are right in between Kennebunk and Biddeford so there are quite a number of areas to explore if you make us your home base. It is a lovely 6 mile ride to Goose Rocks Beach or you can spend an afternoon walking around Dock's Square in Kennebunkport. Biddeford is a rapidly rebuilding mill town that has made several high profile food and travel publications for its great dining spots. If you are visiting to get away from the city, we are less than a mile away from the Eastern Trail which connects South Portland to Kittery, ME. Bring a bike or plan a quiet walk. We have a little fire pit so feel free to spend the day here and enjoy the birds. You'll have access to an outdoor heated shower, clean outhouse, a fire ring with chairs, a cold water sink and a kitchen area with mini fridge, hot plate, pans and utensils if you choose to eat in. Clean sheets and towels will be provided for your stay. We are very close to interstate 95 and route 1 so you can find many places to explore. There is a flea market down the road and plenty of antique shops to peruse. We are 6 miles from Goose Rocks Beach in KBPT or 7 miles from Kennebunk Beach. Our area also has an abundance of walking/riding trails including the Eastern Trail which is .6 miles away.

Nice yurt !

We liked the chicken porch attendant.. The shower is great. Clean, comfortable and private. A good central location for all kinds of things to do.

Close to downtown, secluded

Love this place. Bathroom, and hot outdoor shower. Chickens and ducks close by. Close to downtown Kennebunk. My new go to when in the area.

Cute spot with thoughtful hosts

What a cute spot! The yurt is very spacious and comfortable. The hosts have obviously thought about providing a great guest experience. The outhouse was probably the cleanest camping bathroom situation I've ever experienced. I had a lovely stay and would stay here again.

The yurt area and location had everything we hoped for. It was warm, bright, and comfortable and the spot was quiet while being close to many shops and food options that worked for us. The chickens warmed up to us during our stay and were very charming. The setup of the yurt, outhouse, and shower area gave us a nice sense of privacy. Jason and Kelly were very responsive to the few things we had questions about. If we can make the time to return again we likely will!
