This homestead operates solely on solar power and is completely off-grid, featuring chickens, ducks, geese, and turkeys. Guests can savor fresh eggs, as well as vegetables from the greenhouse and garden, which they are welcome to pick themselves. Additionally, there is a natural spring-fed pond spanning 2 acres, where guests can enjoy kayaking, canoeing, rowing, and pedal boating with all equipment, including paddles and life jackets, provided on site.
All sites are within walking distance of a very clean restroom, which is equipped with a flush toilet, a sink with running water, and a solar-powered light that turns on automatically. Additionally, there is an ample supply of toilet tissue and paper towels, and it also smells good too!

We maintain pollinator habitats, tend an fledgling orchard of heirloom-variety fruit trees, and conserve rare heritage-breed animals, including Tamworth pigs and Scottish Highland Cattle. Our shared love for Celtic folk culture has blended naturally with our love of sustainable agriculture to create Tir na nOg Farm. Today, the work of restoration continues with the help of farm partners, family, friends, WWOOFers, and other volunteers. This land is already better than we found it, but we hope it will remain a gathering-ground of culture and agriculture, tradition and innovation for generations to come.

Our camp is located on a quaint pristine, offshore Maine island. We are an easy 1 mile walk from the ferry landing once you arrive.
We have a shared use golf cart for our guests to get to and from camp!
Great Cranberry Island is a beautiful peaceful place where the pace of life slows, nature abounds and the stars are bright.
There is a small well stocked general store,, a museum, cafe and miles of pristine trails and rocky beaches to explore. Bicycles can be brought on the passenger ferries and are a great way to get around and further explore the island.
Our camp is on the site of our former organic farm called Cabin Creek Farm overlooking the ocean (a tidal estuary called the pool), where we grew flowers, herbs and veggies.
You can even kayak directly to us at high tide.
The sites are a combo of a mixed manicured deciduous and conifer forest and open spaces with ocean views.

When we first purchased our property, we were made aware of a young fella needing a spot to set up his yurt. He lived with us for two years before moving along. We had enjoyed having him and his yurt on our land so when he left, It left a virtual and metaphorical hole.
A couple years later we had an opportunity to purchase a yurt from an outdoor adventure company and so it began. We improved upon our tenant's idea by adding a proper outhouse and outdoor shower area. The space offered us a quiet haven during hectic times and now we are ready to share that opportunity.
Our yurt sits on a quiet and private nook on our 7 acre property. We are right in between Kennebunk and Biddeford so there are quite a number of areas to explore if you make us your home base. It is a lovely 6 mile ride to Goose Rocks Beach or you can spend an afternoon walking around Dock's Square in Kennebunkport. Biddeford is a rapidly rebuilding mill town that has made several high profile food and travel publications for its great dining spots.
If you are visiting to get away from the city, we are less than a mile away from the Eastern Trail which connects South Portland to Kittery, ME. Bring a bike or plan a quiet walk. We have a little fire pit so feel free to spend the day here and enjoy the birds.

I loved this spot! I had a lovely quiet serene evening overlooking the Androscoggin. I awoke to the sunrise over the fields behind me. Enjoyed my morning coffee with the birds singing . They also were frolicking in the water. There are trails to walk, kayaks to rent, and the water to wade in.
The campsite was pristine clean. I had my own porta let, a picnic table and fire ring. The hosts are great communicators . I could only stay one night this trip , but now that I have discovered what a magical place it is , I will definitely be back!

This is a great Hipcamp location! A working farm offering a perfectly private off grid site with gorgeous views. The farmer was cutting hay during our visit so the air was filled with freshly cut hay, so nice. Remote yet close to Kathadin area recreation and those traveling to Canada. An absolutely incredible stay! John is an affable, knowledgeable, and kind host. You can tell he and his wife truly care about the land and its history. His dedication to conservation warmed our hearts. The campsite is unforgettable— beautifully cared for with excellent amenities (swimming beach, fire pit, fire wood and port-a-potty). We enjoyed waking up to the sounds of songbirds and the sight of monarch butterflies, as the sun rose over the river. We can’t wait to come back.

Terrific! I solo tent camped for one night at the Chickadee corner site and had a great time. The property is just beautiful and well maintained. Jeff and Cathy are lovely hosts and have gone the extra mile to make all kinds of helpful amenities available to guests (firewood, kindling, toiletries, lawn games, citronella candles, bug zappers, you name it). The whole property is gorgeous, and with another tent site plus two little “glamp” cabins on offer (the treehouse and owls nest both look amazing!), I’m already scheming for when and how I can come back with friends to enjoy Porcupine Creek again! Pro trip for visitors, I went to The Pour Farm brewery for a beer + food truck pizza that Thursday night, and then to an immersive theater performance by counter/culture: collective and everything rocked. Awesome area all around for a Maine summer visit.

What a gem of a spot. We tow a 40ft 5th wheel and had no trouble getting into this secluded and immaculate spot. Dan was super welcoming and a real pleasure to speak with. He checked in on us - you can tell he is an extremely motivated host and takes pride in his property and strives to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of his guests. We look forward to the possible improvements to the trail/shoreline (which Dan was working on when we left!) .
You are tucked away so expect the usual suspects of mosquitoes and flies but nothing that would change our mind about returning or affected our stay. The lake was refreshing, clear, with an awesome sandy bottom. Loons calling were a bonus!! We would absolutely return! Thank you Dan for the level of care and thought that went into creating this destination!

We rented the canoe and were so glad we took it out on the river, it was gorgeous. Will definitely be back and have already shared this spot with friends!

We loved our two nights at the camp and our peaceful paddle around the pond. Watching the sun rise over the pond was amazing. The hosts were great and incredibly responsive while we were onsite and even helped us jump our car!

The year in the entire property were so great! I have two little girls who are comfortable and safe the entire time. We would definitely recommend dancing lawn to anyone but especially a small family.

My husband and I and our 2 small kids loved our yurt stay! The yurt was set back like 75 yards or so from the hosts’ home and we felt like we had plenty of privacy. All weekend long we played and gathered around the campsite, cooked food on an open fire, and danced joyfully in the sunny clearing behind the fire pit. The yurt was a perfect jumping point to drive short distances to explore many hiking and swimming spots. We would definitely come back again!
Bring your own Bluetooth speaker, camping stove (if you don’t want to cook over fire pit) and pans. Pots, silverware and cookware provided.

This was our first time camping and it was an amazing experience at serendipity. The place was clean and spacious, plenty of room for everything. The location was isolated yet close to all the stores you need (if you’re like me and forgot a few items lol) and only about 20-30 mins away from Acadia national park. Mike and Cheryl were amazing hosts and were super welcoming. We got fresh eggs for breakfast one morning and got to hike the trail around the pond. 100% will be back with the rest of the family!!
