This spot is AMAZING! My husband, my dog I had the most relaxing trip here. Everything was so neat and clean especially the outhouse! Having an abundance of pre-cut dry wood was so clutch and saved us a lot of headache. We WILL be coming back!

The Best!
12 ft campervan
Stayed here with my wife over Labor Day weekend. We have stayed at many Hipcamp locations and the quality of this site is the best we've encountered. Not talking about the location--which is also fabulous. The site is clean and well organized, Trash and recycling on the premises and a ton of firewood is included. Kyle has a poker for the fire and a grate I'd actual cook on. As mentioned in other reviews, the site has the nicest outhouse on the planet. This place would be a blast for multiple families. There are 3 fairly level tent plots that are spaced apart.
The location is also spectacular. Trees provide a canopy for shade and a small amount of protection from the rain.
Would definitely come back.

Simply spectacular… a most beautiful and very private spot with lots of thoughtful details like wood chip areas to keep down dirt and mud and a lovely outhouse. Tons of space with 3 neatly evened tent sites. We had a 20 ft travel trailer which we managed to tuck into the site . Road is right there but only one or two cars passed all evening. Note, road from Howlin has about a 3 mile stretch that is washboard dirt. We left by going towards Milo and that avoided the dirt road section.

I wish I could bottle up the sound of the river flowing on and on…
This site was everything we needed to unplug and get away from all the hustle! Hands down one of the best sites I’ve been to! Very clean site, had grill grate and poker, with unlimited wood for our stay.
I would recommend this site to anyone! Private. My spot was right on the point, if you position your door just right you will get the sunrise ♥️ I cannot wait to book again!!

Second trip to Pisquataquis Point

This was our second trip to Kyle’s gorgeous camp ing area. The water was quite low, but sitting on tubes or on your paddle board works out well. The grounds are gorgeous, green, and great for big groups or big trailers. We also went swimming and paddle boarding at nearby Schoonic Lake, about 30 min away. Kyle is a great host and responds quickly to any questions. Simply stunning area to camp.

Our favorite hipcamp!!

This was by far the best Hipcamp we've stayed at. The campsite sits right on the river, and falling asleep to the sound of the water flowing all night was incredibly peaceful.
The site was incredibly private. We never saw another person during our stay and only very seldom heard a distant car.
Our kids spent hours playing in the river, and we caught and released several smallmouth bass. The fish bite so quickly that both of our kids caught their very first fish on this trip, making it a memory we'll never forget. The river stayed in full view from camp the entire time, so we always felt comfortable letting them play while we relaxed nearby. The water was warm, and the campsite itself stayed shaded with a nice breeze, making it comfortable even during the heat of the day.
The host clearly put a lot of thought into every detail. There was a hammock already set up, and the firewood included everything from super-thin kindling that made starting a fire effortless to larger logs that kept it burning for hours. The picnic table was varnished, so I didn't even need a tablecloth, and the compost outhouse was very clean, complete with lighting for nighttime visits.
The flat, mulched trails and level campsites made everything easy, especially with young kids. We also appreciated having trash and recycling available near the parking area, which kept the campsites clean without having to haul everything home.
I can't think of anything that could have made this stay better.

We enjoyed the large campsite with plenty of room and river frontage! The toilet, firewood, paths, and tent sites were real luxuries. Traffic on the nearby road could be noisy, but otherwise it is a lovely site.

This place is beautiful! It was great to have a place all to ourselves to let the dogs free roam and the kids run wild with no worries. There was plenty of firewood for us to use, a canopy over the picnic table, and a well stocked outhouse. All the things you need while still feeling like off grid camping. The river had great fishing in the evening, and was warm enough for us to wade in with the kids and dogs. We will definitely be back, and hope to make this a tradition!

Scenic river camping with family!

Amazing camping gem on the river! Ample parking and plenty of space for several tents. Beautiful and scenic views! We went with our boys and their friends, famiky near by came to visit and fish! We had atvs and enjoyed riding! And I must say, that has to be the nicest outhouse we have ever seen! The campground is nice and groomed and kept up beautifully! Lots of wood provided! We can't wait to book again! Highly recommend!

Private and relaxing river escape

Our second trip to Piscataquis Point was great. The river was nice and high. We saw a canoe go by which was quite the contrast from our trip in October after that long drought.
There were tons of Tiger Swallowtails puddling along the river banks and a double sunbow that made the quiet trip magical. Campsites are beautifully kept up, plenty of firewood, and the outhouse is clean and has a few handy things you might have forgotten.
The grill for the fire pit is sweet, we didn’t pack our propane grill this time because it was so convenient.
The host Kyle is very responsive to messages making it easy and stress free.

This spot is so beautiful! It’s private, peaceful and so far away from everyone. It was the perfect spot to unplug and unwind. My fiancé and I had originally booked it for one night but we extended it another night and canceled plans to camp anywhere else. The bathroom was so clean, bug spray available (thank god because we forgot ours) and wood on site. We loved this spot and plan to come back again soon 🙌❤️

This camp was absolutely amazing. Water was a bit high & fast for fly fishing, but it didn’t matter all that much. Spent most of Saturday in the tent due to rain, but it finally cleared up late afternoon. Will definitely book this site again.

This is the Place!!

We had all sorts of plans to explore the area, hiking, moose watching etc, but once we settled (and the rain stopped) all plans went out the window. We never left this beautiful spot, hanging out basically just watchin the river flow, with good food and good friends. Top 3 Hipcamps for us…go there!!!

Great place to camp with dogs 🐾

Perfect place for couples, families, or friends to come together in a quiet and private camp on beautiful river spot. The fire pit with cook top were amazing and wood provided was more than enough for the cool October nights and mornings.
The camp is impeccable kept up, the bathroom is cleanest and neatest we have seen yet and we even got a magnet. Very thoughtful! Kyle’s metal work and brothers engraving can be seen throughout the campground giving it the touches it needs to set it above the rest.
We booked our next visit on our ride home.
We cannot wait to return to watch the eagles frolic and looking to catch their next meal in the river.
Kyle is very responsive to messages and directions were easy to follow.

This is our second trip here! Loved the site as always! River access was great even though the water was MUCH lower than the last time we visited. Provided wood and fireplace is a giant bonus! Weather was amazing minus one day with rain but had plenty of tree cover to help keep things dry. We saw bald eagles nesting across the river which was extremely cool! Easy to find, close to town! We will absolutely be back!

Beautiful location and well cared for. This is our third time here and looking forward to the next. We literally just stayed here for 3 days and enjoyed the river and relaxation. Best outhouse ever- anywhere! Love all the handmade fire pit pieces and picnic table. So much talent and creativity.
