Tiny A-Frame Cabin on a personal wildlife preserve! Located a mile from the Passadumkeag River and three miles from the Penobscot River! Quiet Space! Come enjoy a 'Piece of my Peace!' Meadow Vista and Garden views With Composting Toilet, No Electricity and No Running Water! • The wall does lift up and down so you can be closed in if it rains but I leave it open most of the time to allow air flow. • There is a fire pit and two chairs available at the cabin for you to cozy up or cook your food. If you would like a wheel barrow full of firewood provided there is some available on site for a small donation. • There is a hammock with a shade cover at the cabin for you to use. • There is a bug net provided in the cabin if you're in need of some extra protection indoors. • Sunkhaze Meadows National Wildlife Refuge is a short drive with a few hiking trails. • Baxter State Park & Acadia National Park are each an hour and a half away (just in opposite directions). • A composting toilet is on site, with a scoop and bucket of sawdust to cover waste. I you need to pee, find a tree! If it's number two, use the loo! • No electricity at the cabin or on the property • No running or potable drinking water. Must bring in water. • The cabin is quite cozy for 1-2 people and/or 1-2 fur babies. The cabin itself has an 8x10’ floor plan with a full size futon. The deck gives another 3’ to enjoy your inside/outside stay. • The property DOES get full sun so be aware of finding shade throughout the day! I like to enjoy the river(s) and explore the area during the peak heat hours! • Mosquitos like to come out at dusk. I do have some citronella candles but it would be best if you came prepared with bug repellent! • There is a New tiny cabin construction on site! • This cabin is NOT private - one dwelling is visible but it is also NOT a rental. Weekend Trip to Magical Mountain River retreat
The site was lovely and as expected - riverside with a picnic table and a nice wide flat surface for setting up our 2-person tent. As described, it is a fairly steep (but wide) path to get down to the site, though we managed even after dark with head lamps on and a slow pace. There is a shared fire pit for all three sites at one of the sites. The privy was clean, well maintained, and centrally located. The host, Abi, was responsive and provided detailed information about how to get to the site, the expectations, and amenities.

We tent camped at the Riverside site in late October and had a wonderful time! Our firewood was waiting for us by the pit and we had a great night camping. Bathroom is clean and well stocked and the river is only a few steps away. Lovely all around and an A+ experience communicating with Abi. Thank you!

We had such a great time at camp brave n it! We had acres of beautiful wooded land with hiking trails right outside our door all to ourselves! Kennebunk was a short drive away, but we honestly spent more time just enjoying our site. We also came also a local brewery up the road called Funky Bow that I definitely recommend checking out! Amazing site. I have a Silverado 1500 and a 6x12 (plus 2’ of trailer tongue) and was able to pull down, back to the precipice of the hill down to fire pit, unhook and reposition truck, hook up and pull up to back it into position. Anything bigger cannot and would need to be backed in. A skilled driver would easily reverse down. Pit toilet is well maintained, site is directly on a private lake and veryyyy quiet in October. I highly recommend this site ANY time of year! The tree line between sites was very privatizing, I never felt exposed to anyone’s site next door. Excellent experience at this Hipcamp, the area was what I wanted for exploring, and Helen’s restaurant was worth eating at several times. I look forward to returning.

This property is awesome! Secluded and totally private with a beautiful view of the lake- plus water, electricity, and sewer if you need it! There is an outhouse but the system they use keeps it better than most any porta potty you’ll find. I failed to take photos, but definitely recommend this spot!

Beautiful views. No one else was camping at the other 2 sites, so having a "communal fire pit" wasn't an issue. Hauling all of the gear up the steep hill back to the car was challenging but the host has carts and a wheelbarrow to help.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Rangeley Solitude. Alexander’s communication was great, had excellent recommendations for the area, and stayed in contact with us before, during, and after our stay. With its close proximity to the quaint town of Rangeley along with the endless outdoor activities the area offers, makes this location prime. Our site was level and incredibly private. The site is tucked in off of a dead end road with a nicely cleared gravel area surrounded by beautiful tall mature trees. We enjoyed our stay at Alexander’s property and would definitely stay again should we return to the area. Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven for others to enjoy!

Conner’s Landing is an exceptional place. Not only is there everything provided that you need - water, sewer, and 30A/50A service, but it is very very private and definitely off-the-beaten path. The lakeside site is great for launching a kayak or canoe. We had kayaks and getting them in and out was no issue. We brought a 30ft travel trailer, pulled it straight in and still had plenty of maneuvering room. My tow vehicle is huge - a crew cab dually with an 8ft bed. If you like serenity, a peaceful lakeside site, and loons singing to you, you’ll fall in love with Conner’s Landing.

The horse corral site was private, quiet and spacious for our Van camping trip to enjoy the beautiful beaches nearby. We saw a hummingbird, a family of turkeys, and heard some very vocal owls. The bathroom was clean and well appointed. We had a great time and cant wait to return next season!

We really enjoyed our stay at conners landing. Was easy to navigate to, close to all the hiking we wanted to do, and lake access meant we could enjoy some kayaking right from the site too. There is a well house, with a very long garden hose already hooked up. An extension cord was available, but our normal power cord was just long enough to reach the pole. As was mentioned in another review; be mindful that there's no turning around with a trailer down at the site. Our camper door is on the passenger side, so we opted to pull in and disconnect. There was plenty of room to get the truck back past while the camper was set up. We were able to back the trailer back up the hill just fine. The privacy this site offers will never be matched by an rv campground. The amenities make it very comfortable.

Great spot to set up camp. Site is private, located on a dead end road. A little tricky to get our 28 foot travel trailer into the horse coral but nice and level once inside. Electricity provided via extension cords worked for all our energy needs in early September and long hose from cabin worked well for water hookup. Both extension cords and long hose were at the ready for easy hook ups. We had a strong signal via T-Mobile. Picnic table, fire ring and grill were on-site as well as some nice maps showing trails on-site. Loved walking the trails with our pups. Added the hot tub experience which was well worth it-enjoyed a nice soak under the beautiful starry sky. Sean was quick to respond to any questions and a great host.

There is a beautiful hike to a mountain lookout view of an amazing panoramic of lakes and mountains including Mt Washington and Pleasant Ski mountain. From 5 Kezars rd turn right onto Kezars Ridge Drive, the last camp road before the pavement ends.) At 0.6 miles keep right onto 5 Kezar Ponds Road. Look for a GLLT sign on the right. This is the Mountain Trail. There is a second access 0.5 miles farther west on 5 Kezar Ponds Road for Ron’s Loop. Here is a link for all Lovell Land trust trails: https://www.gllt.org/five-kezars-reserve 2 Local waterfalls only 2 miles away. Drive back out to 5 Kezars road. Take a right on the paved road. It will turn back into dirt. Keep on this road until you see a beautiful stone house on your left. Keep going just up the hill and you will see a right turn into the woods where you can park. There are no signs for Kezar gorge. Hike towards the sound of the falls. There is a small cave under the falls you can climb up into if you are a strong swimmer. There is a second set of falls if you hike down the river. A most magical spot for sure. Virginia lake is in the White Mountain National forest and is only 6 miles (n a ten minute drive away) Sometimes you have to hike in a bit to get to the beach. Shallow beach is great for children and dogs. Keewayden Lake Dam is a fun place to swim in a local lake. Only and 8 minute drive Keoka lake has a nice beach with a dock to swim too. !0 minutes Covered Bridge in Bethel Screw Ager falls at Graftons Notch State park 45 min drive Ski resorts nearby are Sunday River, Mt Abrams and Pleasant Mt

We have an 8X8 cabin available in a small grove on the edge of our homestead/medicinal herb farm. The cabin has a full size bed (bring your own pillows and bedding) with some floor space for a small cot or sleeping pad. The space allows for two adults and two small children, anymore than that would be very tight. The cabin is insulated so the road traffic isn’t bad but it is noticeable at certain hours when the window is open. There is a large parking area with about a 100 yard walk across a lawn and then another 100 yard walk through an uneven wooded trail to the cabin. We have two composting toilet outhouses available for guests use that we take care of on a daily basis.Inside of our large greenhouse, there is a hot water outdoor semi-private shower, only biodegradable soap that we provide can be used. There is also a kitchen and seating area in the greenhouse with a propane grill, toaster oven, microwave and electric kettle and small coffee maker/French press. The greenhouse is a communal space that our family uses as a wood shop and greenhouse space so while the kitchen and shower area are kept clean and clear for guests, the rest of the greenhouse is a working space that can be in various states depending on what projects we have going on. Dogs are allowed but they need to be leashed due to our free ranging ducks and the closeness of the road. We can occasionally provide eggs and some veggies and herbs for tea for a small fee if it’s arranged in advance.We provide a fire pit and kindling but ask that you bring your own fire wood that has been purchased in the area so as not to bring in any new pests.The parking area is large enough if you want to bring a boat or trailer.Our spot is 3 miles from downtown Freeport and is located near a commuter road so it’s easy access to many spots.Freeport is a coastal town with two state parks, lots of great diverse trails which are well maintained and lots of restaurants/breweries. the cabin is in winter mode and has limit water, please bring all the water you need. if you forget or need more the can supply water when we are available to do so. Our cabin is an off grid (very limited power, now way to charge or plug in AC devices) post and beam structure that we built 8 years ago. It's has a full kitchen, wood stove, and screened porch. There are jugs provided for doing dishes etc and a large (150 gallon) tank outside for refills. There are a generous supply of lanterns (both battery and inflatable solar) flashlights and string lights for lighting. This is a small two story timber frame cabin off grid and secluded deep in the woods. It has a separate outhouse as well as shower stall to use the solar shower bags in. The cabin has a king sized bed in the loft with a child size fold down bunk above it; there is also a pull out couch on the first floor. As well as a kitchen, screened in porch and fire pit. Linen, dishes and utensils are not included please bring all that you need. There is a propane 4 burner stove with oven and solar shower bags. Trash and campfire wood is included. We are very busy with kids and work, we try our best to clean and re-supply between guests but it is not always possible, please let us know if something needs attention!
