I enjoyed my stay at Twin Bucks Cabin. It was nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. An electric heater kept it warm even with temperatures at night in the upper 30s and there is also a secondary heater for when it gets really cold. You have electricity to keep all your things charged. There is no WiFi but with my cell carrier I had a good signal and could get online that way no problem. So it was warm, cozy and comfortable. Very quiet (with an occasional owl or loon calling!) And the hosts checked to see if I there was anything at all that I needed. Great place, great hosts!

Such a cool spot! We booked it for 2 nights of our camping trip to have a place to hang out with possible rain in the forecast and planned to spend the first evening by the campfire. We arrived after dark and were warmly greeted by the host. He gave our dog Mabel a pat and let us know that he'd be just up the road if we needed anything, and even left us some firewood! I immediately felt at home stepping into the airstream, the heater already running and the lights left on for us. The trailer was clean and had some awesome vintage photos and picture books on display. The beds were clean and comfortable, and Mabel immediately claimed the twin bed for herself! It didn't rain that night but the airstream was so cozy we decided to skip the fire and go straight to the "back up plan" of snuggling up with the pup to watch a movie on the tablet. The next morning we headed for a hike at boot head, only a 15 minute drive away and saw some absolutely breathtaking views! We came back to the airstream for our campfire and had a blast...that's about when the rain showed up. I wasn't even disappointed, the sound of the rain hitting the metal roof was just as good as the crackling of a campfire. We absolutely loved our stay here! Thank you for the amazing memories!

Great camping spot overlooking Whiting Bay. Really loved the views and the firewood that Al provided. Large field for our dogs to run and steps down to the bay were a plus. Stayed in Site 7, which is really the only site that would accommodate our 48' truck/trailer. Other sites work best for tents or camper vans. Very narrow entrance, you'll miss it if you aren't careful.

What a magnificent spot! Beautiful location and view. Level lot for our van camping. Sites are primitive (fire ring and picnic table) and outhouse for bathroom. But unexpected extras were firewood, jugs of extra water for our use and a few other camping luxuries to borrow.. Absolutely what hipcamp os meant to be !

Amazing site. I have a Silverado 1500 and a 6x12 (plus 2’ of trailer tongue) and was able to pull down, back to the precipice of the hill down to fire pit, unhook and reposition truck, hook up and pull up to back it into position. Anything bigger cannot and would need to be backed in. A skilled driver would easily reverse down. Pit toilet is well maintained, site is directly on a private lake and veryyyy quiet in October. I highly recommend this site ANY time of year! The tree line between sites was very privatizing, I never felt exposed to anyone’s site next door. Excellent experience at this Hipcamp, the area was what I wanted for exploring, and Helen’s restaurant was worth eating at several times. I look forward to returning.

Enjoyed a great time camping for several days at Elmer's Cove! Spot 5 has a great view, both open enough to enjoy it and protected enough to protect our tent from some storms that blew in. The screen house was handy for rain, too, yay being able to have a dry dinner! Al was a flexible and responsive host and has good recommendations for local stuff to do. Would definitely stay there again if we're up that way in the future.

This property is awesome! Secluded and totally private with a beautiful view of the lake- plus water, electricity, and sewer if you need it! There is an outhouse but the system they use keeps it better than most any porta potty you’ll find. I failed to take photos, but definitely recommend this spot!

Bill and Carol were excellent hosts! They made us feel very welcome and made sure we had enough firewood to stay warm. The downeast is a stunning location to visit. Bill and Carols location is just 30mins from Cutler coast, machiasport, eastport and everything in between! lots of nature to explore and some great restauraunts too! definately a great location off the beaten path with more than you expect to be offered. We will be back!

Great spot! Site 5 had a good water view, a bit of privacy with the lean to and could pull our little trailer up close to the spot. Including the firewood and spring water to use is a great perk! I’d stay here again and at site 7 next time to hike down with a tent and have a private oasis.

Secluded. Loved this space. Even though they warned not to get there at night, we did… path is an adventure but follow it, you’ll eventually get there. Will be easier without the wheel barrel! Can hear traffic speeding by in distance but didn’t mind. Outhouse is the cleanest I’ve used. Yurt is a great size. Walk to lake and take the kayaks out. Don’t skip it.

Conner’s Landing is an exceptional place. Not only is there everything provided that you need - water, sewer, and 30A/50A service, but it is very very private and definitely off-the-beaten path. The lakeside site is great for launching a kayak or canoe. We had kayaks and getting them in and out was no issue. We brought a 30ft travel trailer, pulled it straight in and still had plenty of maneuvering room. My tow vehicle is huge - a crew cab dually with an 8ft bed. If you like serenity, a peaceful lakeside site, and loons singing to you, you’ll fall in love with Conner’s Landing.

Site 4 & 5 are both secluded and private. We like site #5 better because our 16ft camper van could easily back up and turn around to exit. There was a trail near our site that was lined with pine trees that gave a fragrant smell through the air. Birds congregated in the trees with soft chatter and at night it was so peaceful. Due to the ban on camp fires here, we cannot add additional comments on what that might have felt like but since we have experienced camp fires before, this probably would have been perfect. We had rain/drizzle over night waking to wet grasses in the morning but the sun quickly popped out later on. Our host was extremely friendly and accomodating upon our arrival the first night and left us with a warm feeling of kindness for our adventures aheaad. If you like the outdoors, plan on a night or two in the woods. Cell coverage was decent (AT&T).

We have four raised platforms, accessible by car, each with a canvas-covered A-frame Each platform is nested in their own private setting around the edges of our 12-acre organic blueberry barren. All four platforms are fully screened-in, with stylish canvas-covered timberframes and circular red doors. These canvas tents are relatively bug-proof and waterproof; you do not need to bring a tent! You do need to bring your own bedding. ***If you are particularly sensitive to bugs, you may want to bring your own tent (to put inside our tent) or a mosquito net. This is the Northeast during the summertime, we cannot ensure there will be no bugs. Blueberry Land is part of Smithereen Farm, but is located around the corner from our Home Farm on Youngs Cove Road, near Reversing Falls. This is an off grid, rustic site with only a port-a-potty. If you need to use any other amenities, you are welcome to use the WIFI, fill your water bottles, charge your electric vehicle and buy supplies at the Smithereen Farmstore (12 Little Falls Road, Pembroke). We sell cold drinks, beer and wine, frozen fish, meat, our own fruit popsicles, also organic veggies, honey, products from many local and Maine farms, camping supplies, ready to eat food, snacks, chocolates and even fresh baked cookies. Park at the store, and then jump into the Pennamaquan River (two dams, a rope swing) to cool off after exploring the town. Note: there is no potable water at the site, you will need to bring a vessel and fill up in town. There are beautiful walking, biking and canoeing opportunities in every direction—check out Cobscook Shores, Downeast Coastal Conservancy trails by Reversing Falls, Maine Coast Heritage trails on the Bold Coast and at Sipps Bay, Nature Conservancy trail at Hersey Point, Shackford head at Eastport, and of course much more on Campobello. Blueberry bushes are low, native, fruit-growing, covered in flowers in spring and then berries in summer, turning bright bright red in the fall when kissed by frost. Our blueberries are certified organic by MOFGA and surrounded by birch, fir, spruce and flowering perennial beds to improve insect habitat. Happy Dwelling is just 10 minutes from downtown Machias, Maine. It rests on 8 acres of land. Woods create a private and peaceful stay. You may enjoy starry night skies and soft orange sunrises. Just a short walk, is the lovely Sunrise Trail, a converted old train line, for biking, walking, four-wheeling, and horseback riding. Lakes are close by for swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. We are located 2 miles from Route 1 Milbridge and about 2 miles from Route 1A Milbridge Find us on YouTube videos of wild animals and campground area 😊 A-Frame Cabin 10’by10’, private, fire pit, benches, picnic table and hammock. The Cabin is 75’ from Old County Road and 200’ from the parking area. A cell phone booster is at the campground which works good and runs all the time and no wifi or power at the cabins off grid. Shower is located at the cabins. We are located 2 miles from Route 1 Milbridge and about 2 miles from Route 1A Milbridge and we just fixed the Old County Road and the parking area and the road is settling from being fixed but low cars have been making into the parking area with no problems. The paths are primitive and not suited for people who have trouble walking on uneven ground. We provide solar lights, propane stove, propane, natural bug spray, battery bank charger, 1 small bottled water per guests and sleeping bags. Heat provided from Oct 1 to April 30. No Out of State Maine Firewood. No water at the shower from October 15 to April 30 because of the frost.

The camp site is located on the same property as Robinson's Housekeeping Log Cottages. The business was started 4 generations ago with one small cabin in 1920 by William Robinson and his wife Shirley. The cottages are located on the bank of the Dennys River, on land owned by generations of Robinsons since 1875. There are 6 log cottages and one small clapboard cottage located on the property. We also have direct access to the Sunrise Trail. Learn more about this land: This campsite is located on the bank of the Dennys River and very close to the small pond also on the property. It is a wooded lot with a firepit (wood included), picnic table, and tenting/campervan spot. Nearby are a swing set, volleyball/badminton net, horseshoes, and a beach on the river. Water bottles can be filled at the Cottages office. There are canoes, a rowboat, and a kayak that can be used for free by campers. Life jackets can be found hanging outside by the office. We have direct access to the Sunrise Trail and are located between mile marker 79 and 80.
