The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose.
Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. These are private sites on our property. You'll drive past our home, garage, and garden to get to each site and you'll be able to see our buildings from the sites. We have a very large English Mastiff and some hens. Both are contained in our fenced in yard. Eggs can be purchased upon request. We also have a some dirt jumps if you need to get warmed up before your ride, and a simple bike wash station ready to go when you get back.
Lots of wildlife inhabit our area of Vermont. During your stay you're likely to see whitetail deer, squirrels and chippies, rabbits, and hawks. There's a chance you may see a fox, black bear, moose or even a bobcat! We ask that food is secured in your vehicle and not brought into the bell tents, for your own safety. We do have a basket of safety equipment in each tent. The basket contains bug spray, bear horn, simple first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, and a flash light.

We have three 10x12 glamping tents tucked away in the forest on 6 acres, behind our home with glimpses of the surrounding mountains through the trees.
Private and tranquil- each tent has a queen sized bed with flannel sheets, a light comforter, and a lantern.
The front porch has two Adirondack chairs looking out over the forest. Each campsite has a fire pit, picnic table, and a cabinet filled with basic cook wear, plates and cups, a French press, kettle, and utensils for making meals over a campfire.
Our double-header outhouse is clean and beautiful- a guest favorite!
There is a short 1/8 mile walk through the woods to the camp- we provide garden wagons to tote your gear.
Follow the camp path to our wooded sanctuary, sleep among the trees, marvel at the stars, tell tall tales around the fire, and unwind!

This property overlooking the beautiful Connecticut river (no access to) has two cabins to choose from, one sleeps two people (full size bed) and the other can accommodate three, 1 queen bed and a twin bed)
The property is such a peaceful spot!
We have a rustic outhouse, and showers can be taken in the main farmhouse on the property if you would like, available every weekday from 8am to 9am.
Night showers possible as well, just ask!
Both cabins have a fridge, and microwave and coffee maker to enjoy.
We sell firewood to sit around a cozy campfire at night and stargaze! You can even purchase a S'mores package as well!
Enjoy a cup of coffee in the mornings and listen to the birds. Bottled water is included as well and placed in your fridge upon arrival. Potable water also easily accessible.
We will do our best to make you feel at home away from home. In a way that is never intrusive, we respect your privacy. Come and unwind with nature all around you.
We are very pet friendly! And ask that all dogs are on a leash while outside. Also, pets are not to be left in the cabins unattended at any time.
So, with all that said get yourself and your pets here and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on your deck looking out to the river.
Listen to the birds and relax! And if luck is with you, you might spot a bald eagle

Art classes and materials are available, for pottery [ beginner to advanced.] as well as sketching, fabric dyeing, plen air, or making mandalas. I do have leather tools, sewing machines, and stained glass. Bring your project or try a new one.
Lots of space in the common barn area for group lesson, or set up a spot and enjoy all by yourself!
Cabot has lots to offer for day trips, be it water sports, rail trail on bikes or walking, music, and cultural events, or purchasing fresh milk, beef, eggs, apples,
cheese, or homemade breads, all from Cabot. Contra Dance, music from Cabot Arts, or at the Den our local pub, are 2 miles away. The Bread and Puppet, Highland Center for the Arts, Barre Oprah house, art galleries, etc within an hour
drive in any direction.
A great place for children, I have swings and trees to climb, games, archaeological digs, scavenger hunts finding 10 different antique farm implements, and learning how they were used, to learning about mini microbe's and how to be friends with pollinators.
Massage including scar release, and MPS, Cranial Release, energy work with tuning forks and singing bowls are available. Singing bowl concert in the gardens can also happen! Expect the unexpected! See you soon!

Wandering Pines is a little slice of magic in the Great North Woods of New Hampshire. Our sites range in size and privacy and offer field or wooded land. The sites are near our Small House on 5 acres but far enough away to feel private. We currently have 2 large campsites, 5 primitive walk in sites, 3 Pick your own sites, 3 park and sleep sites and 2 RV camper sites. Our hip camp sites are set up to be self sufficient. If you arrive after dark you may have a harder time finding a site. We are not always home or awake when you arrive. If our sites are booked, please message me. We have a ton of space and can accommodate you somewhere!
During the warmer months(April-Early December) all the sites have access to water and a primitive outhouse and handwashing/dishwashing station. Firewood can be purchased. Please check our extras for other items for purchase.
We have wetlands and overgrown fields so there may be bugs and other animals at any given time. Bug spray is recommended.
Although black bears are generally shy and usually avoid humans, they are opportunistic and will search for human food supplies when natural foods are not available. Maintaining a sustainable bear population in New Hampshire depends on minimizing human-bear conflicts. It is illegal to intentionally feed bears in New Hampshire. Intentional feeding can create problems within residential areas and can result in fines. It also may threaten the life of the bear, if it becomes a nuisance animal as a result of this feeding. Please keep your food in your car when you are not at the site and when you are sleeping.
The property has views of Mount Martha and the Presidential Mountain Range. There are easy walking trails throughout the property. There is a field to play games; Soccer, wiffle ball, corn hole and yard croquet can be used. Just ask

Our property encompasses 3 different campsites:
1.) Camp with Stone Fireplace - a private gravel clearing with functional stone fireplace on an 11 acre parcel.
2.) A Frame to Rest In - a newer addition which is a tiny A-Frame structure close to, but separate, from the Fireplace site and shares a driveway.
3.) Easy Come Easy Go - right off 302 and has a circular gravel driveway easy for RV pull-in with a picnic table and fire ring.

Located in Bethlehem at the top of the White Mountains close to endless hiking and biking. Both downtown Bethlehem and Littleton are within a 15 minute drive, supplying many choices for food and shopping.
Rainy and need more options? Take the beautiful 1 hour drive east on 302 to North Conway and visit the big outlet stores. If the weather is better, and you want a more scenic way there with hiking -- take the 25 minute drive down to Lincoln and travel the amazing Kancamangus Scenic Byway (Route 112). This is 35 miles through the White Mountains with no gas stations, so you might want to top off while in Lincoln.
Thirty minutes east is the Mount Washington Cog Railway, and you will pass the historic Mount Washington Hotel on the way. Fifteen minutes south and you can be at Franconia Notch State Park.

Welcome to the Campsites at CoHo: Conway Hostel!
Camping here at the hostel is a great option for those who are looking for the economic price point and rugged nature of camping, while still having the amenities of modern living.
"What should I expect my experience to be like?"
Being a hostel, the experience we offer is a community focused one. Sites are setup similar to rooms in the hostel. They are located in fairly close proximity to one another and feature (in addition to private fire pits in the sites) one large community fire ring at the center of the property.
Parking and camping are located at the rear of the Hostel property.
Out back features several campsites, a community fire ring, picnic table, and charcoal grill. Parking is first come, first serve, but there is plenty of street parking available along Washington St (Summertime street parking. In winter, town hall may be used as overflow parking.).
Amenities:
For Sites 1-4, the hostel is yours to access. Use the back porch and side entrances (Access code will be given to you during check-in). Inside you’ll find… Full community kitchen, bathrooms/hot showers, dining area, and lounge area.
Breakfast: Pancake mix provided in the community kitchen.
Dorm style bathroom facilities on the second floor have two toilets and shower stalls each. PLEASE NOTE: Towels can be rented for $5, or bring your own for free.

Nestled on the shoulder of Mount Cabot (4180'), our hillside yurt has a stunning vista of the Connecticut River Valley, with Mt. Lafayette to the south and the Green Mountains to the west. Decompress with a hot outdoor shower and cook over the outdoor firepit as the sun blazes toward the horizon, and look up through the yurt's skylight as you revel in spacious night among the stars. The yurt is grid-powered, the stars aren't.
For an even more immersive nature experience, The Orchard on Apple Hill road is ready for your tent or hammock, along with an outdoor kitchen, two hot showers and compost toilets, picnic tables and firepit, and propane cooking burners. The Orchard's solar kit can charge your equipment and boil a kettle for your hot morning cup.
The Pond on The Hillside is open to guests for swimming or skating at the case may be.
If you'd like to reserve our woodfired hot tub, please do so at least 7 days before your arrival so we have time to schedule the firemaster.
Firewood is included with all sites, so please don't travel with firewood as it's a great way to transport forest-devastating invasive insects.
Hikers are welcome to wander along old logging roads through our sugarbush, and along trails throughout the remainder of the property (300+ ac. total) where there are numerous springs and creeks, mystical softwoods, expansive grassy fields, and a wild apple orchard. Moose, deer, and bear tracks are common, but animal encounters are not - still, please sequester your food accordingly and be mindful to carry out scraps or place them in lidded containers.

Betsey was super communicative and helpful! The land was easy to find and her directions were perfect. We stayed at Forest Edge abs love how secluded it felt while having sites nearby. Quick and easy drive to everything we came to see and do. Would absolutely stay there again!
Some things to note, you can hear some traffic nearby (only people driving to be heard 🙄) and there was an all day event happening at the shooting range nearby. Nothing took away from the amazing stay though!

We had a wonderful stay at this pet‑friendly cabin overlooking the Connecticut River. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and thoughtfully cared for. The cabin itself is just as listed; impeccably clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. Jessica, the host, was kind and accommodating throughout our stay.
We brought both our cat and dog, and the space worked perfectly for all of us. Jessica provided an electric heater in anticipation of a chilly night, but we didn’t end up needing it—the cabin is well insulated and stayed warm on its own. The outhouse is exactly what you’d expect, but it was clean, well maintained, and easy to use.
There were lots of small, well‑considered amenities that made the stay even nicer, and we really appreciated the care that went into creating a welcoming space. We would absolutely recommend this spot and would happily stay again.

Had a great time staying at the farm and riding kingdom trails. We had two tents at camp site two and there was plenty of room. The ground was soft, the stars were bright, and the fresh eggs were delicious.

Peaceful Pines is remote, beautiful and a wonderful place to camp. Maudie was very easy to communicate with and we had everything we needed to make fire and helpful information to access hiking trails. Our first night was super clear and we could view the stars and the milky way directly from our campfire spot. Highly recommend!

Quiet, peaceful, surrounded by horses! We came a little late in the season but stayed warm with our winter bedding (you bring your own). Everything you needed to start a cozy fire was provided and the stove and griddle were an added bonus in the covered pavilion.

Sandy was a great host. I got to talk to her and hear a bit of her story. The location is beautiful. I would suggest the spot at the top of the driveway. Quiet and secluded. There was a burn ban in effect when we got there, and Sandy gave us the rules that would allow us to have a small fire if we wanted. I would definitely camp here again. My number one rule is to respect the owner and the land and all will be good. Thanks Sandy for being a great steward for the land.

Beautiful property, clean and well stocked bathhouse, wonderful experience all around. Stayed at cascade rocks - the privacy and sound of brackets brook was perfect. Jill and Jeff are excellent and attentive hosts and you can see the passion they have for their property. I had forgotten a spatula and they immediately offered me one to borrow - they really go above and beyond.

Betsey is the best!!! This is our second year staying here and there is a reason we will always stay here when traveling to Burke. She is so thoughtful in everything she puts together. The tents have literally everything you can think of. They are cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated. The sites are well maintained and quiet. We love it here!!
