We have four raised platforms, accessible by car, each with a canvas-covered A-frame Each platform is nested in their own private setting around the edges of our 12-acre organic blueberry barren. All four platforms are fully screened-in, with stylish canvas-covered timberframes and circular red doors. These canvas tents are relatively bug-proof and waterproof; you do not need to bring a tent! You do need to bring your own bedding. This is the Northeast during the summertime, we cannot ensure there will be no bugs. Blueberry Land is part of Smithereen Farm, but is located around the corner from our Home Farm on Youngs Cove Road, near Reversing Falls. This is an off grid, rustic site with only a port-a-potty. If you need to use any other amenities, you are welcome to use the WIFI, fill your water bottles, charge your electric vehicle and buy supplies at the Smithereen Farmstore (12 Little Falls Road, Pembroke). We sell cold drinks, beer and wine, frozen fish, meat, our own fruit popsicles, also organic veggies, honey, products from many local and Maine farms, camping supplies, ready to eat food, snacks, chocolates and even fresh baked cookies. Park at the store, and then jump into the Pennamaquan River (two dams, a rope swing) to cool off after exploring the town. Note: there is no potable water at the site, you will need to bring a vessel and fill up in town. There are beautiful walking, biking and canoeing opportunities in every direction—check out Cobscook Shores, Downeast Coastal Conservancy trails by Reversing Falls, Maine Coast Heritage trails on the Bold Coast and at Sipps Bay, Nature Conservancy trail at Hersey Point, Shackford head at Eastport, and of course much more on Campobello. Blueberry bushes are low, native, fruit-growing, covered in flowers in spring and then berries in summer, turning bright bright red in the fall when kissed by frost. Our blueberries are certified organic by MOFGA and surrounded by birch, fir, spruce and flowering perennial beds to improve insect habitat. Please DO NOT DRIVE/ tread ON THE BERRIES, they are food that we harvest and sell! Park in the parking lot, three sites are immediately visible, the fourth site is a further drive down the road, past the port-o-potty, in the back field, to the left. Low hung vehicles beware! If in doubt park in the parking lot. Upon booking, we will send you a PDF welcome packet filled with helpful information about the farm, local sites to see, and a comprehensive list of our recommendations. We will say it again: remember to prepare for MOSQUITOES in summer! We really recommend you approach Washington County as an opportunity to PICNIC! The "dining out" options are limited Bring a pocketknife, a frying pan, a big cooler for butter and milk with ice packs so you can pick up local crabmeat (Betty's Crabmeat) and mayo and salads (Smithereen Farmstore) and eggs from ends of driveways, bring a cutting board—a big water jug, a camp stove/kettle, more warm socks than you think you need... and a sense of adventure! We have a EAT DOWNEAST digital map, guidebook and brochure at the Farmstore you can pick up a copy or download from our website.       The site is very beautiful, offers a lot of privacy and we loved hearing all the wildlife at night (coyotes, owls, etc.). The hosts were also friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately there were lots of ticks on the mattress inside the tent, but maybe that is to be expected when sleeping in a field/farm in this region. The porta potty was also very full, but maybe we were just unlucky with the timing of our stay.

      Beautiful, peaceful spot. Had the whole hill to ourselves (mid June). Really enjoyed the fire pit and provided firewood. We stayed after hiking the Cutler Coast. Great location for hiking, swimming, and visiting surrounding towns like Lubec and Eastport. Only advice I'd give is to bring your own sleeping pad. Some of the pads/mattresses in the tents looked a bit ominous, so if that kind of thing distresses you, you'll feel much more at peace on your own pad.

      This spot is so beautiful, I bet even more so later this summer when the blueberries are in season! Getting to and staying in one of the tent platforms was super easy and convenient, which made this short weekend stay all the more stress-free. I would come back here! <3

      Great, easy to access spot. The farm store was lovely and a great landing pad and place to return to for treats, treasures, literature and connection. The guide was thoughtful and well planned out. We used it to source food and adventures. We chose to set up our own tent inside the triangle tents just because we are used to it and it fit our sleep system well but I think we’d have been comfortable without it. The land itself had so many birds that we just sat outside with binoculars for hours. We also heard a porcupine mating call for the first time. Just a nice warm place to be. 100% recommend and would definitely return in the future.

      I loved the convenience of not having to pack a tent and appreciated the sleeping pad. It was secluded, quiet and beautiful. Being surrounded by ripe blueberries was super dreamy!

      The tent was nice and spacious it fit 3 adults and a dog very well. And the space around the fire pit and tent were maintained. My issues: the two mattresses and the futon in the middle of the tent were gross. No sheets provided for them just two stained mattresses with no sheets that we pushed off to the side. We were never told to bring our own sheets either. Sites were kind of confusing with the first come first serve. The signage for the sites were minimal which made us confused. Host was not responsive when I messaged them a question and the number they provide is out of service. My experience was mostly positive but some things rubbed me the wrong way.

      We loved the spot and would definitely go there again! Fresh wild blueberries for our breakfast granola and heard loons, coyotes and x2 types of owls at night! It was very peaceful, lots of space from other campers, easy access to the water, and nice having a bug free tent to sleep in. Great access to lots of interesting places and appreciated the comprehensive guide book they provided. Thank you for a fabulous time!

      Such a magical beauty of spot! We loved waking up to fresh wild blueberry picking with our toddler. Magical fields, wild flowers and the farm is incredible and the surroundings are great to explore. Swimming hole, pond and Eastport. We are sad to leave and stayed for a week :)

      My husband, dog, and I loved camping at Blueberry Land! The land was beautiful, and the big, roomy tent platform felt spacious and welcome after we had come from camping in our little two-person tent. We could easily fit all of our gear, and it was a treat to be able to stand up inside (especially for my husband who is very tall!), stay cool and dry, and have a comfy pad to sleep on. What a delight to be able to wake up and pick blueberries to go with our breakfast, and be surrounded by so many different birds and trees- what a sweet place. We enjoyed the fire pit, the breeze from the water, and being able to run down the road to the Reversing Falls and drive up the road to the Smithereen Farm Store. Thank you!

      Beautiful fields of blueberries, many species of birds, comfortable tents with fire rings and wood provided, plus a very clean port-a-potty made this a great place to stay. We found endless places to explore and will definitely be back as we need more time to discover all the region has to offer. Definitely stop by the Smithereen Farm store for veggies, baked goods, a free water jug fill-up, and an educational center.

      camping site was great! the blueberry fields are something worth camping with. i loved the site, the tent was great. but the host never responded to my messages and was left with no instruction. i figured it out on my own but it would have liked to have some guidance. other than that super quiet calm and tranquil campsite with such great maine blueberries! and the tent kept me warm and through rain it was great! thank you to the hosts for lending me their gorgeous land

      The tents were fantastic and roomy and the location was beautiful. We stopped at the farm store and the manager gave us some great tips for our stay in the area including a good swimming hole spot and dinner recommendations.

      Hey beautiful piece of land with four well spaced sites. The tents are great. We stayed intent one where there were two single mattresses and a folding futon that served quite nicely under our sleeping pads and sleeping bags. The porta potty was the cleanest one I’ve ever used. This being Maine, the mosquitoes were ferocious and the ticks were plentiful. But we were well prepared for both. The farm store has wine and beer and frozen soups which are all very helpful. And the woman working there was super helpful in terms of pointing us to a great swim hole down the street and a fantastic spot to sit and enjoy the reversing falls close by. It’s a really special place and we would like to go back.

      Peaceful and visually stunning! Love the blueberry fields! The sites had plenty of privacy. We had neighbors and didn't hardly know they were there. The tents were gorgeous, structurally sound and comfortable. Sleeps 4 comfortably. They only challenge was stepping up into the tent, bring a folding step stool! It was a beautiful stay, the pups loved it too. Thank you Severine!

      The area was gorgeous and the tents were exactly what I was hoping for. They are bigger than I expected and so sturdy. It rained during our visit and everything stayed totally dry! The handbook provided by Severine helped us plan our visit down east, and we had a really great time. Thanks!

      We had a great experience camping at Blueberry Lands! Severine was wonderfully communicative, and sent a fabulous google doc to help us find the campsite and explore the area. As they mentioned in the doc, google maps will not direct you to the right location- look closely for house numbers on Youngs Cove Road to help you! Their suggestions really helped facilitate a great trip to Pembroke- we found swimming spots, great places to hike and explore, and delicious food from the farm store. The tent platforms were great! There weren't mattresses inside, so we were happy to set up our tent inside the platform with our sleeping mats. We were grateful for the firewood as the night got cooler.

      These are very magic tents at Blueberry land. Loved building a fire with abundant firewood, catching morning light through the beautiful circle opening, and exploring nature nearby. Highly recommend checking out the other projects/land by Smithereen Farm - Severine is facilitating incredibly inspiring and creative work. Reversing Hall is a great spot to spend a Sunday reading and learning. The outdoor shower, wild cove and kitchen with a view at the home farm are all great. I recommend bringing a sleeping pad for inside the tent, and maybe camping chairs! So grateful for my time here.

      stayed just for the night, porta potty was pretty clean and the tent was awesome. we checked out the smithereen farm store the next morning for some homemade bakery goods and local treats. chatted with serverine and alva who were picking flowers from the garden. so relaxing and wholesome.

      I love the idea of camping without having to bring my tent. We used site #4, so had a lovely view of blueberry field, wood in background. The sunset was lovely over the field The local wild life showed up about 00:30 in the far field/trees, howling for about 5 min, then left. Directions were a bit off. It is 1.7 miles, not 3, to Youngs Cove Rd. And the sign is broken off. (Town needs to replace it.) Google helped us find where we needed to go. There is wood for a small camp fire, which we used. Helped keep mosquitoes away. Just know if you are NOT a morning person, site 4's tent is faced East. We got to watch the sky during thr sunrise.
