Near Acadia National Park
Within a 30-minute drive from the Thompson Island Information Center.
Before you make a reservation read the description of each site. Read all of the info. Our camping section is located on the property of Kisma Preserve. Home to black bear, local mammals , and our favorite, wolves. We live here full time and have been here in one way or another for over 30 years. The sounds of the night are magical. Unleash your imagination and camp here away from the crowds you may find within the local Acadia National Park area. Close to basic necessities, and a step away from the masses. We do educational tours daily by reservation. We may allow camping in Winter months but if it is between November and May it is very important to call and find out. If you want to have a solid roof , screens and a fabulous view ask about reserving our Cadillac Mountain View Loft or if the idea of being naked under the stars is appealing opt for our Raw and Rough site.! Pulling in late, and leaving early for a typical Sunrise reservation.? We can also accommodate that if we know that is all you want. Traveling with your horse.? Talk to us about an Equine site. The Biker’s Bunkhouse is ideal for motorcycle travelers as it shelters both the guest and the Bike/s. Always call, we can answer all questions to get you into the right site for your style of adventuring. With each listing be sure to read all the information. If you are interested in a spontaneous camping adventure, if your luggage got lost or if you just don’t want to deal with transporting camping gear we can connect you with a local gear renter who can supply you with a basic box of necessities including a tent. Questions.? Call.

Cadillac Mt View Loft and Hammocks
Not only was the stay a unique and enjoyable experience, the property was clean and felt safe as well. All staff were kind and helpful. The cottage was one of my favorite stays, even with few amenities. Price was more than fair and distance from busy bar harbor was manageable.

Rude Deceitful Leadership
Erica is rude and condescending. Their site on Hipcamp says: 2 tents and 1 vehicle are allowed at most sites (Exceptions include RV’s and motorcycles) With that said, I would expect to be able to park my normal vehicle at my campsite, but this was not the case. Erica spoke to me as if I was stupid, saying it states clearly cars aren’t allowed at the site. This is not the case as you can see for yourselves until they update their posting. Other people had vehicles at their sites behind gates at the property! They were just upset their wet grass was being torn up and muddy: newsflash create a damn gravel road if it’s that big of a problem. Would never recommend this creepy peeping hippy place that locks their wild animals in pens smaller than most people’s living rooms.

Camping with Wolves
Incredibly rude and unpleasant host
My friends and stayed at the camp site for 1 night. I called Heather 2 times earlier in the day to let her know we would arrive between 5-7pm. She did not answer. So I texted Heather and she responded that we could check in anytime except from 6-7pm because she was doing a tour. We arrived at 8pm. At check in, Heather was incredibly aggressive, rude and unwelcoming. She stood there for 5 minutes scolding me, claimed I did not follow rules, defamed my character, and kept bashing us. We had to calm her down and ask her to please show us our campsite. She barely showed us around, pointed to our campsite, rambled again for another 5 minutes about how we did not follow rules and that she would kick us out if we did anything while on site. Although this campsite may be close to Acadia, her abusive nature and insulting comments really put a damper on the evening. I would strongly reconsider before booking. This is hands down the most rude interaction I’ve ever had with someone from HipCamp, Airbnb or any customer service position.
