Weekend Trip to Sacred Nectar Sanctuary

Nick's whimsical land was the perfect location for a group of old friends getting together with our young kids to share in our love of camping with them. With numerous well-maintained tent spots, we were able to fit a large group without feeling like we were all on top of each other. The site felt private and secluded with almost no evidence of other campers nearby. The amenities, including the "Poophouse", are top notch. We had an intense storm on Friday night which got a few of us wet but in general the water drained well from the site and didn't pool around our tents.

We had a nice 2 night stay in the area. Check in was very easy and got a brief tour of the area before settling into our car camping spot. (If car camping, take it slow on the hill as there are a few dips that may scratch). All in all, nice stay and would come back! Thank you for having ua!

This was our 3rd time back to Hussey Mtn. Site 4 is our spot. My son and I have been able to create good memories each visit and the 3rd stay was just as good as the first two. Ebon, the property owner, is always available to answer q’s and he consistently adds nice touches to the property every year. Everything is well maintained and great attention to detail. He knows what campers need on site to be comfortable. So, chalking another trip on the board. Reserve a site and see for yourself.

Beautiful spot on the Saco! Short walk back to the river from the parking and good wayfinding/lighting (we arrived after dark). The tent sites are pretty close together but it was peaceful and quiet. We loved going for a morning dip in one of the communal swim spots.

The cabin is clean, cute, and cozy and has a great view! We admittedly made the mistake of not realizing there could be a kids camp the days we were there, but the cabin was very private and the lake was absolutely beautiful! Bad timing on our part! Sarah addressed our concerns promptly, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

This land, now known by it's view gifting fields, is one of Sandwich's top treasured gems. The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose. Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. Nick and his tribe of like minds are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. At the 2WD shared parking area guests are provided with a outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a portable toilet, garden hose for washing, a power strip for charging devices, and a spigot with potable water for filling containers. Over two decades ago we created our first campsite for the purpose of hosting family and friends. Folks enjoyed camping on the mountain so much they often would choose our farm over traditional campgrounds. Hosting campers became a regular weekend event, and to accommodate more people we created three more sites spread out across the property. In 2020, we came across the Hipcamp app and started offering private reservations to the public. Since, we have been hosting campers on a daily basis and continuously improving our sites / infrastructure / views. We’re excited to see what the next two decades hold; come join us on the mountain!
