The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an Intentional lifestyle. Our shared love for Celtic folk culture has blended naturally with our love of sustainable agriculture to create Tir na nOg Farm. Today, the work of restoration continues with the help of farm partners, family, friends, WWOOFers, and other volunteers. Coffee (from a local NH roaster), tea, hot chocolate and potable water (from the faucet) will be available daily. We are a farm family with young children so large and rowdy or drinking parties are very heavily discouraged.

Wandering Pines is a little slice of magic in the Great North Woods of New Hampshire. Our sites range in size and privacy and offer field or wooded land. The sites are near our Small House on 5 acres but far enough away to feel private. We currently have 2 large campsites, 5 primitive walk in sites, 3 Pick your own sites, 3 park and sleep sites and 2 RV camper sites. Our hip camp sites are set up to be self sufficient. If you arrive after dark you may have a harder time finding a site. We are not always home or awake when you arrive. If our sites are booked, please message me. We have a ton of space and can accommodate you somewhere!
During the warmer months(April-Early December) all the sites have access to water and a primitive outhouse and handwashing/dishwashing station. Firewood can be purchased. Please check our extras for other items for purchase.
We have wetlands and overgrown fields so there may be bugs and other animals at any given time. Bug spray is recommended.
Although black bears are generally shy and usually avoid humans, they are opportunistic and will search for human food supplies when natural foods are not available. Maintaining a sustainable bear population in New Hampshire depends on minimizing human-bear conflicts. It is illegal to intentionally feed bears in New Hampshire. Intentional feeding can create problems within residential areas and can result in fines. It also may threaten the life of the bear, if it becomes a nuisance animal as a result of this feeding. Please keep your food in your car when you are not at the site and when you are sleeping.
The property has views of Mount Martha and the Presidential Mountain Range. There are easy walking trails throughout the property. There is a field to play games; Soccer, wiffle ball, corn hole and yard croquet can be used. Just ask

Located in Bethlehem at the top of the White Mountains close to endless hiking and biking. Both downtown Bethlehem and Littleton are within a 15 minute drive, supplying many choices for food and shopping.
Rainy and need more options? Take the beautiful 1 hour drive east on 302 to North Conway and visit the big outlet stores. If the weather is better, and you want a more scenic way there with hiking -- take the 25 minute drive down to Lincoln and travel the amazing Kancamangus Scenic Byway (Route 112). This is 35 miles through the White Mountains with no gas stations, so you might want to top off while in Lincoln.
Thirty minutes east is the Mount Washington Cog Railway, and you will pass the historic Mount Washington Hotel on the way. Fifteen minutes south and you can be at Franconia Notch State Park.

Camp Ebb and Flow is located on the western edge of the White Mountains, near the crossing of the Appalachian Trail and a short drive to VT. Three lakes nearby for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. Hiking trails nearby. The camp offers RV sites with water, electricity, and sewer, an RV site with no hookups, and several tent sites. One of the tent sites has water and electricity and another has electricity with nearby water. There is bathhouse with two toilets and two vanities as well as a shower with changing room. Potable water is also available from a spigot at the bathhouse. There are over six acres of mowed fields for activities and walking. There is also a lovely brook running through the property.
This property has a lengthy history going back to colonial times.
It’s been a farm, an apple orchard, and once had a sawmill.
Please check the calendar for available dates.
Check-in is no later than 9pm unless late arrival arrangements have been made prior to booking. Whenever possible, try to arrive before dark because there are no lights at most sites, which can make setup difficult.
A note regarding electric vehicles (EV):
If you have an electric vehicle and would like to tent camp, please select one of our full hookup RV sites. If you have the proper electric adapter for your vehicle, you can charge your vehicle at the 30A RV plug while tenting in the field near the RV site. We do not supply these adapters, and we cannot allow you to charge your vehicle unless you have reserved an RV site with full hookups.

Site #3 is the smallest remote tent sites with spots for 1 or 2 tents, 1 - 2 cars max and 4 guests. All 3 sites are mostly surrounded by 6' natural berms with lots of pine trees between each campsite creating additional privacy. They all have a picnic table and fire pit. Campsite site #2 is a larger space with plenty of room for multiple cars and 5 -6 tents. It has a propane barbecue grill, picnic table, fire pit, hammock, outdoor patio set with seating for 6. A shared portapotty is on site and cleaned weekly from May 1st - October 31st. There isn’t electricity or running water and there is spotty cell phone service but a its great wooded spot for some remote camping in Southern Maine. There is a nearby tote road for guests to go on nature hikes. (5 - 10 miles) There is a path that leads down to a brook that abuts the property and there is a 1/4 mile dirt road that leads to the Little Ossipee River that's great for wading, fishing, tubing, etc.. There are local public swimming spots within 10 minutes in any direction and hiking trails in abutting towns. The town of Limerick has a grocery store, hardware store, convenience store, a post office and dollar general for your other needs. (Within 5 - 6 minutes) It is a small town of approximately 3300 people. They say if you blink you'll miss it. It is very peaceful. Great for camping, fishing, glamping or relaxing! There are also free local public swimming beaches in 10 minutes in any direction, that don't get a lot of traffic. We love it out here and hope you will too!

A unique glamping getaway nestled on a mountainside, 4 miles from Evans Notch, in Chatham, NH.
We have three 10x12 glamping tents tucked away in the forest on 6 acres, behind our home.
Private and tranquil- each tent has a queen sized bed with flannel sheets, a light comforter, and a lantern.
The front porch has two Adirondack chairs looking out over the forest. Each campsite has a fire pit, picnic table, and a cabinet filled with basic cook wear, plates and cups, a French press, kettle, and utensils for making meals over a campfire.
Our double-header outhouse is clean and beautiful- a guest favorite!
There is a short 1/8 mile walk through the woods to the camp- we provide garden wagons to tote your gear.
Follow the camp path to our wooded sanctuary, sleep among the trees, marvel at the stars, tell tall tales around the fire, and unwind!

Scars in the polished granite streambed tell the story of saw mills from the 19th century. Not far from the foundation of one of the more established farmsteads of the era, this campsite is tucked away from the road down by the rushing Bull Branch of the Sunday River. Whether you bake on the rocks after dipping, or toss a fly in a quiet pool, the river will soothe your soul.
Explore endless mountains streams, trails to the Appalachian Trail, and remote dirt roads in the heart of the Mahoosucs from your secluded walk-in low impact tent site with privy. Deep swimming holes and trout fishing beckon.
There are five sites in total. Hillside, Riverside and Fireside each have a picnic table, they all share a fire pit and a privy and are on the side of the road closest to the river. Main Eastside and the North site also share a fire pit and privy, Main Eastside has a picnic table, these two sites are across the street from the river which is just a short walk away.
Riverside: a more secluded site and closest to the river
Hillside: the smallest site available and closest to the parking area, other campers will need to access their sites by walking past this campsite
Fireside: closest to the communal fire pit and privy

North Site: smaller site and located in the woods, campers drive past the Main Eastside site to access, this site has a more remote feeling, there is no picnic table but campers do have access to the shared fire pit at the Main Eastside site and the privy

I loved this spot! I had a lovely quiet serene evening overlooking the Androscoggin. I awoke to the sunrise over the fields behind me. Enjoyed my morning coffee with the birds singing . They also were frolicking in the water. There are trails to walk, kayaks to rent, and the water to wade in.
The campsite was pristine clean. I had my own porta let, a picnic table and fire ring. The hosts are great communicators . I could only stay one night this trip , but now that I have discovered what a magical place it is , I will definitely be back!

An absolutely incredible stay! John is an affable, knowledgeable, and kind host. You can tell he and his wife truly care about the land and its history. His dedication to conservation warmed our hearts. The campsite is unforgettable— beautifully cared for with excellent amenities (swimming beach, fire pit, fire wood and port-a-potty). We enjoyed waking up to the sounds of songbirds and the sight of monarch butterflies, as the sun rose over the river. We can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful campsite, SO peaceful (listen to the birds, feel the breeze, smell the meadow flowers). Pat met us at the gate and showed us to our site. We rented the canoe and were so glad we took it out on the river, it was gorgeous. Will definitely be back and have already shared this spot with friends!

This is the third time we’ve camped at Camp Jack, and it’s become one of our favorite getaway spots. From the beautiful drive through the mountains to the campsite, to the beautiful and serene surroundings at camp we fall more in love every time we visit. Maudie is a great host who communicates excellently and a wonderful steward of the beautiful land. Definitely be back!!

Use of kitchen, bathroom, hot tub (so unique) and overall vibe put this property at an 11. We'll definitely be back.

Camping here was perfection! The outdoor shower was wonderful after a long day of exploring the upper valley! The staff were friendly and helpful. There were other campers, but our platform site felt very private! Clean porta potty, but indoor bathroom was also available! Community fire pit was lovely as well. Can’t wait to stay here again and explore more!

But what makes this my favorite Hipcamp in the region is the hosts' ongoing land restoration project. If you are looking for the perfect, tranquil escape to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature, this campsite is it.
The campsite sits right on the edge of a gorgeous body of water. It is peaceful, incredibly clean, and ideal for a morning paddle or an afternoon swim. The shaded banks under the trees offer the perfect spot to pull up a couple of camp chairs, read a book and play fetch with the dogs.
It is rare to find a place that is as enjoyable for your four-legged companions as it is for you. With open fields to explore, shaded wooded trails, and easy access to the water for a refreshing swim, it is an absolute dreamland for dogs. My dogs had the time of their lives.
Whether you want to spend your days hiking the trails, paddling, swimming, or just watching your dogs play, this campground provides opportunities for all of this.
Along with this, the owners clearly take great pride in caring for their land and protecting the wildlife that resides there. As a person who also cares about conservation and wildlife, it was wonderful to be on a property where the owners also clearly cared very much.

Tent site 3 was perfect for our small group! We had individual tents so Holly showed us another small spot where we could set up. There's no picnic bench at this site, but a camp table we were able to borrow and carry out. We all slept so well among the fireflies and owls! Hope to return soon!

This was our 2nd time staying on this property, but our first time at Site 4. The views were AMAZING and the site offers a few different places to pitch tents. Takes a bit longer to get down to the main house to refill water jugs and access the community kitchen, but the trade-off is a very quiet, peaceful site with very few people and vehicles passing through.
