Beautiful skies and blueberries
We loved our stay here and would 100% stay again! We spent a week waking up to beautiful views and fresh blueberries. The night sky in the open field was phenomenal. We saw wild turkeys, deer, and many birds in the field. Our hosts we super helpful and kind throughout our stay. Lakeisha was away but her dad was there and was always just a text or call away if we had a question or need. We really enjoyed talking to him. We got in late due to delays with traffic and he met us at 9pm to show us to our site. The bathroom facility was an actual port-a-potty, which was more than we expected. Site 2 is in an open field under a big birch tree, but is far enough away from everything to be private. The walk to the bathroom isn't too far either, just a short walk down a gravel path.
The camp is about 30 miles from Acadia but an hour drive due to the speed limits and such. Bar Harbor is 35 miles away. There's a cute gas station about 2 miles from the site with essentials and a bakery in the back. Bucksport is 15 or so miles away and has a small Hannaford grocery store, a Family Dollar, and good restaurants. Ellsworth is about 20 miles in the other direction (near Acadia) and has a Wal-Mart, grocery stores, and anything else you could want.
