A tranquil site in open and blossoming blueberry barrens, come later in the summer to pick your own fresh off the vine!  This location is relatively remote - a (in parts really) rough dirt road leads to my property which comprises 12 acres surrounded by/looking across hundreds of acres of other family members' blueberry barrens - perfect for those wanting a private and peaceful retreat!  Beautiful views of Blue Hill mountain, great sun (and sometimes moon!) rises and sunsets, and your own personal planetarium on clear (best on the new moon) nights!   On the same road as (5 min from) Kingdom Woods Conservation Area (800 acre area with peaceful trails and a pond), 10 minutes from Blue Hill town center and its amenities (YMCA - hot showers, Tradewind's/Coop supermarkets,) and nature mountain (hiking!) and its Bay (swimming!), 20-30 minutes from Holbrook Island Sanctuary, the historic Castine waterfront, the quaint finishing villages of Deer Isle and Stonington, and 45 minutes to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park!  Discover Downeast Maine away from the crowds, at your very own quiet blueberry base!

Lakeisha was a great host and her property is beautiful. Normally when I camp I try to be In a wooded area but the night sky in the blueberry field is unmatched. Very peaceful and a good location not far from other great spots in maine. Blueberry picking is an obvious bonus that you dont get camping anywhere else

We had such a lovely time in camping within Lakeisha’s blueberry fields— brought back memories from when I was a little girl picking blueberries intended to make jam and most certainly gobbling most of them all up :) When we arrived there were two fold out chairs and dry bags for us to use during our stay which was very thoughtful. Our site was peaceful and accompanied by a wise old tree and some flowers in the picnic table, making us feel at home from the jump. The nostalgia mixed with these details really made our stay at Lakeisha’s blueberry fields very special.

Amazing, amazing nature. We camped at site 1 plopped in the middle of the fields— if you are looking for a big breath away from society this is the place for you. Campsite was very accessible as long as you look out for a couple jagged rocks, up the trail, but our cars handled it fine. Lakeisha was warm and welcoming and even left a little gift as it was my birthday. Ideal for stargazing and sunrises!!!! (and sunsets)

This was a great spot to spend the night watching the Persied Meteor shower! We were the only ones camping and it was very quiet. Lakeisha's list of things to do in the area was super helpful, we had a great time hiking and swimming nearby. And the blueberries were delicious. Be aware that if you stay at site 2 you will be the furthest from the house and other tent sites, but that also means you are also the furthest to the porta potty.

Quiet? You betcha! We were on a level campsite in the middle of acres and acres of blueberries! The road in was rough. Our 21 ft camper trailer made it OK, but a bigger rig might have some difficulties. Our second visit with Lakeisha (online only). Our previous visit was 3 years ago at a difference site. She was responsive and willing to help if necessary - which wasn’t needed. Cute town of Blue Hill has many things and shops to explore.

The blueberry field was absolutely stunning and a great place to spend a few days. We stayed at site 2 in the middle of the field near the lone tree, and it was awesome, we saw baby turkeys running around, deer, and heard coyotes at night. The stars were the best I’ve seen in my entire life, the Milky Way was as clear as day, and we saw a shooting star literally go across the entire night sky! The blueberries tasted amazing too, we will be making blueberry muffins with some we brought back. We also had the chance to go drive through Acadia and swim at Sand Beach because it was so close, it was awesome. Thank you for an incredible time!

I was drawn to the remote location outside Deer Isle (a place that has become very special to me). And I'm so glad I went with my gut to stay away from a crowded nearby campsite and get out into nature. The views were incredible and it just felt peaceful. I was a little worried about the lack of sun coverage since it was covered in low bush blueberry fields, but ultimately navigated it just fine with our rig having some coverage of it's own. I'll never forget that moon lit campsite ! Thank you!

Site 1 - Wildberry Farm
Wildberry Farm is a scene out of a movie. A beautiful blueberry field where birds fly up and turkey families walk through early in the morning. It’s beautiful at all times of day, in the fog and in sun. It’s quiet. The sites are dispersed. Martin, Lakeisha and family are warm and friendly and easy to reach when needed. I have recommended this place to several friends!

Site 2 - Wildberry Farm
We loved our stay here and would 100% stay again! We spent a week waking up to beautiful views and fresh blueberries. The night sky in the open field was phenomenal. We saw wild turkeys, deer, and many birds in the field. Our hosts we super helpful and kind throughout our stay. Lakeisha was away but her dad was there and was always just a text or call away if we had a question or need. We really enjoyed talking to him. We got in late due to delays with traffic and he met us at 9pm to show us to our site. The bathroom facility was an actual port-a-potty, which was more than we expected. Site 2 is in an open field under a big birch tree, but is far enough away from everything to be private. The walk to the bathroom isn't too far either, just a short walk down a gravel path. The camp is about 30 miles from Acadia but an hour drive due to the speed limits and such. Bar Harbor is 35 miles away. There's a cute gas station about 2 miles from the site with essentials and a bakery in the back. Bucksport is 15 or so miles away and has a small Hannaford grocery store, a Family Dollar, and good restaurants. Ellsworth is about 20 miles in the other direction (near Acadia) and has a Wal-Mart, grocery stores, and anything else you could want.

Absolutely gorgeous spot isolated in the blueberry fields at the top of a mountain. Felt very private despite the openness and great place to pop open a tent. You definitely need a vehicle with good clearance to get up there - some rocky road for sure.

Site 5 (new) - Wildberry Farm
So... I'm actually going to need to schedule another trip to meet Lakeisha in person! She had to make a last minute change to my reservation; however, she found room for us at a relative's property, and my granddaughter and I had to suffer with a waterfront view. It was absolutely beautiful. Her relative was very accommodating. His property is used as an Air B and B, so he's used to hosting. He had wonderful walking paths cut through the property, and the property abuts a Preserved area named after his grandfather. Even though we were not on her property, Lakeisha reached out during our stay, to make sure everything was going well for us. I'll definitely book again! I want to meet Lakeisha and check out her property, too! The Penobscot area, and the surrounding towns are really wonderful. Thanks Lakeisha! And thanks to Starr, as well!

Lakeisha's communication was great! Her directions were detailed and helpful. The farm is very beautiful and private. It is centrally located, which made it easy for us to go to the places we wanted to see. Martin was very pleasant and super helpful!! We highly recommend staying here!!

Site 1 - Wildberry Farm
This place is about as simple as it gets, which was perfect for what I wanted. No facilities except for a single porta-pottie, so I had to bring in/out everything I needed. Site 1 felt a little close to the owner's house, the others are a little more remote, but it was a very peaceful place to stay to get away from it all.
