Salt Pond Perfection (Site 3-TENTS)
Great spot
Great location and convenient to boot. The tent site is a real hike and a steep one - I overlooked this in the description but don’t let that dissuade you. Just pack lighter than I did!

Site 1 - Salt Pond Perfection
We loved the view from site 1 over the pond. And the view all around us in the blueberry fields and boulders was stunning, felt like a different world. We could hear some traffic, but not much and none when we were inside our van. The waterproof bag of necessities and the compost toilet were nice extras. Suggestion-put a
laminated ‘how to use’ in the pop up for people that have never used one.
On the directions, it said to park at the two boulders if you don’t have 4 wheel drive, but there was no level pull off that we saw and parking in the dirt road would block the renter trying to access campsite 2. There was no meet-and-great so we did the best we could.
We loved the location! Had a great walk about exploring the large boulder and the waters edge.

Camper? Stay at the blueberry farm!
Lakeisha and her family were so accommodating when it turned out that our 2WD van with trailer was not going to be able to make it in and out of our reserved camping spot at the Salt Pond. They immediately offered another beautiful spot over at the blueberry farm that, while missing the beautiful waterfront of the salt pond, was serene, beautiful and incredibly private. We would go back in a heartbeat!!

Site 4 - Wildberry Farm-Backyard Blueberries
We had a great time at Wildberry Farm-Backyard Blueberries! We had no issues finding the property or getting to our campsite. Each site is marked with signs to help you find your way. There was a fire pit, picnic table, and a toilet tent with a composting toilet. We loved getting to camp in the middle of a blueberry field! We booked for site four but ended up staying in site 2. If you have a larger RV, we would recommend site 3. Site 2 had plenty of room for us in our 22-foot campervan. We would definitely stay again!

Such a beautiful camping spot! We loved renting a canoe and exploring the island in the salt pond, walking around the land and camp fires at night.

Trip to remember
Salt Pond Perfection is simply a magical place. From the Harvest Moon rising above the tree line to the soaring American Bald Eagles, Osprey and Blue Heron. Peaceful days spent swimming and fun campfire conversations. The site was clean very private and remote. We can't stop talking about the blueberry pie made by Lakeisha's mother, best we have ever had! We were welcomed by the site manager who couldn't have been more welcoming. We would absolutely recommend this site to anyone looking to experience Maine at its best.

Camping under the stars!
We loved the location - wide open space but really out there and some of the best stars we’ve seen at night. The composting toilet was really well kept and easy to use. Our host was awesome and really responsive. I only wish we had stayed longer!

We had a great weekend in Maine staying at the wildberry campsite. It was quite easy to find, very secluded and private. The location was beautiful and it's not too far away from town and it's about 1 hour from Acadia. Sitting by the campfire and stargazing was a memorable highlight. I recommend this campsite to anyone that's looking for a relaxing and private getaway to Maine. Will definitely come again:)

Salt Pond Perfection (Site 3-TENTS)
Beautiful waterfront site
Great campsite, stunningly beautiful. We loved having the water so close to us and watching the tide go in and out from our tent. The view of "eagle island" is super cool and we appreciated Lakeisha letting us know in advance not to pull our boat up on shore there because of the birds. There is so much to explore by boat and would definitely recommend bringing kayaks or sups to this site. I read some reviews that called the walk to the site treacherous, which is a bit much. It is a groomed single-track path studded with granite chunks. If you are mildly athletic/hike or spend time outside regularly it is not a big deal. I would definitely recommend trying to pack as much into backpacks as possible because it is difficult to roll the cart or a cooler over all of the rocks. The site was pretty private, but we were there after labor day. We did have other campers show up on our second day for site 1 who came down our site path while exploring the property and that was a bit annoying because we like our privacy when camping. Other than that, we felt very alone and undisturbed. Overall great site and definitely want to come back with a group next summer.

Lakeisha was great to work with. She helped us switch sites when we realized the site we had registered for didn’t work for our needs. Site 2 had a lovely, close-up view of the water, and was ideal for rolling right in with our teardrop trailer. (Sites 3 and 4 are “walk in” sites). The downside was that site 2 is near the main road, so you hear the cars go by. But we got used to it. Thoughtful additions by Lakeisha: a cool composting toilet set up, solar lights around the site, and firewood provided. Overall, its a lovely location on a blueberry barren overlooking a gorgeous salt pond.

Lakeisha is a sweetheart. When I told her we wouldn’t arrive till midnight, she brought over firewood to our campsite to make sure we could make a fire before heading to bed. She also invited us to her Labor Day party which was very lovely. We stayed at site 2 which was very nice. The stars were mindblowing the first night. We have our tent on the car and the site is level. A ground tent might be a bit harder to secure since the cleared space was mostly gravel/sand etc. Not great to secure stakes in the ground. We didn’t need it, but just letting you know if you bring a tent. Toilet was basic but totally did the job. No water at the site so make sure you bring enough for your needs. 5/5 will def. be back!

Beautiful site and Lakeisha had left out some portable chairs, a portable table, and a wagon to pull it all the short distance to the campsite. Much appreciated! The campsite was incredibly beautiful, amazing spot to watch both the sunrise and sunset. Thank you!

Salt Pond Perfection (Site 3-TENTS)
The Salt Pond & Blueberry Barrens were incredibly beautiful. I camped with a group of 4-7 people and Site 3 was a perfect amount of space for all of us. I loved how private our site was. As others' have said, it's not the most remote place. You can see houses around the pond nearby. That has its perks however, because the site is so close to the grocery store, restaurants, etc.
It's definitely a trek to get down to the site and the wagon doesn't really help with the bumpy walk. A wheel barrow would be a lot more useful. The path is fun to walk down when you aren't lugging kayaks and tons of gear.
Swimming at high tide was incredible. We enjoyed paddling around the islands. Note that people are NOT ALLOWED to explore the smaller island because it is bald eagle habitat. We didn't know this and were walking along the island with our dogs when a neighbor respectfully informed us of our mistake. I wish that we had been told this ahead of time, so that we didn't disturb the baby eagles.
Overall, it was a great time.

Love this place! The spots are picturesque and secluded. Each spot has a very nice picnic table and compost toilet. And or girls had a blast picking blueberries. Best to bring your own water but the host was generous to let us full up our shower bag from the house spigot.

Lovely place
This is a very beautiful peice of land. The colorful field, the dark edge of the woods, and view of the water mean no matter where you look its a nice view. It is very quiet (except for the hum of insects, and the call of owls)The salt pond was actually warm enough to swim!

Serene but w/last-minute confusion
Lakeisha’s sites were beautiful and we had a terrific, serene time in the blueberry field where all was as described in her listing. However, after spending a lot of time deliberating which site to reserve, and booking a site at the salt pond about 1-2 weeks ahead, Lakeisha informed us at midnight the night before we were to arrive that there was some uncertainty as to whether we would have access to the site we booked. She offered to host us instead at the blueberry field, and when we opted to arrive a day later, she refunded us that night. Also, we were surprised to learn that the blueberry field and salt pond were in two different towns. Perhaps we misread the listing, or perhaps the listing could make this distinction clearer.

Stayed on site 2 with a 17 foot van and it was lovely. It was a very quiet spot with beautiful views, and no one was at the other sites so we had a lot of privacy. The stars were abundant in the evening. Don’t sleep on the blueberry pie!
