Come relax on this private 5 acre waterfront escape. A long driveway will open up into a cleared lot. The end of the driveway is a large crushed gravel parking pad which should easily accommodate any RV or trailer (make sure you back in, there's no room to turn around). The pad is mostly flat, but minor leveling on RV's is probably still needed. Site overlooks Flanders Bay which feeds into Mount Desert Narrows. Watch the family of 5 eagles fly back and forth across the cove and bring binoculars to watch them as they perch in nearby trees. The cove is filled with a variety of seabirds and the occasional harbor seal. You will have complete quiet as you listen to the sounds of forest and coastal life.Property is located 11 miles from Schoodic Peninsula of Acadia National park and a quick 35 miles from Bar Harbor. From May through mid November, site includes access to a HOT outdoor shower, well water, a working sink with hot water. Water is turned off after November 15th until late spring, weather dependent. NEW THIS YEAR- we have installed a 50/30 AMP hookup for trailers/RV's - we do charge $15 extra per night for hookups, please coordinate with us at time of booking if you will need power for your camper - There is an electric outlet for small electronics like laptops/phones/coffee pot, site includes a campfire area, lots of open spaces to pitch a tent, and an outhouse. Perfect
We enjoyed our RV stay. The site was beautiful, well maintained and the location was perfect. The host was very responsive to our questions for recommendations for spots to visit places to eat! Occasionally you could hear the road noise but it was not intrusive and we did not mind it at all.

The experience was good overall, but the road noise was intrusive and the area was not well suited for tenting. This location is not as private as advertised.

The Eagles are beautiful!
This is such a great site! We absolutely loved everything about our stay. The communication was clear throughout the entire process, and the property was exactly as described. The only problem we had is that we couldn't stay here forever! We look forward to staying here again in the future!
